I get that the rear camera has OIS and the front camera does not. OK.
But there's also this setting for EIS (the electronic video stabilization that also crops out some of the FOV) - and it works great with the main rear camera.
However when using the front camera - this setting has no effect - enabled or disabled - there is no crop to the FOV (so that's the evidence of it not working at all), and unfortunately, the videos can get pretty shaky.
Why didn't google include the SOFTWARE video stabilization on the FRONT camera as well?
???
Even after flashing the camera 2 api zip , Google camera hdr+ does not work on our rear camera , it always shows pink screen and force closes, on checking with camera 2 probe its hardware support level is showing full only and not level_3 , level_3 is required for Google cam to work , can someone do something so our device gets level_3 camera 2 api support please.
fyi, front cam support level also full. but why is GCmod working well on front cam?? i think because its back camera sensor is sony imx 258, but GCMod is working well on Redmi Note 4x that has same sensor as lenovo P2
@Arnova8G2 says that it is not fault of gcam but our camera driver is badly built so we have to tag some developers to bring correct drivers for our phone.
Is there any uses for the depth camera in whyred, Google arcore supports ToF cameras but not others. Any way to see live feed/take pictures with that camera?
Hi,
Before buying i'm wondering if you're ale to take 64MP pictures on third party apps? I'm most interested in Open Camera. If yes, does Open Camera allows to shoot 64 MP in RAW format? Could someone with phone check it ?
Its totally normal....stock camera is build for this sensor
Yes, but stock app dosn't support RAW, but phone support camera 2 API, so i'm wondering if you can take 64MP RAW pictures on third party apps ?
Only gcam have 16mp raw on main camera. All others camera applications have same problem with raw, on main camera. "Failed to start camera preview."
Snap Camera HDR also capture RAW 16mp and jpeg 64mp with main cam.
The advantage of GCam is that when it does HDR, does it in JPEG and RAW also. On a Snap cam, when we turn on RAW it no longer capture HDR even it shows that it is on.
Something interesting with a Snap Camera, unlike a stock camera, a Snap Camera can produce an HDR image with 64mp jpeg, like as GCam 6 with 64.xml profile on portrait mode.
what's the quality of RAW format?

Raw is ok.
Before and after lightroom.
Camera app which views all the lens view. Is there an app that consolidates all the lens views on the screen simultaneously and saves multiple photos when clicked? Something like the DIRECTOR'S VIEW.
The problem with the ‘Director’s view’ is that it uses only the mail lens and outputs 3 different views in video mode only. I am looking for something which will give us 3 different views from the 3 lenses, probably the front-facing camera too. This app will allow users to take photos and make videos too.
