1. with SystemCleanup from Google Play Store. Uninstalling a system app will not make more space (because system apps are on a different partition). Instead, you can use this app to make space and update already existing systems apps (because normally updates take up from your available space, e.g. google maps update).
2. it's not safe to delete everything you see. I have successfully uninstalled: HTC Trends, Weather & News, Google search (can be reinstalled from google play), HTC Quick search, Gmail (can be reinstalled from google play), HTC Likes, HTC Widget Likes, HTC Photo widget (has a memory leak bug), YouTube, HTC Tips. I have updated all other system apps and I still have 2mb left for future updates.
3. rooting is needed and for this you should start searching and reading. first: unlock bootloader (go to www.htcdev.com, erases everything on phone), second: install cwm recovery image (i find it easier to be done through fastboot commands), third: install superuser (su) zip from cwm recovery

Hi everyone, I love modding but I'm worried to lose warranty. Can you tell me which are the real advantages to have warranty? Thank you so much for your time.
transfer app to sd
The main reason I use to rot is to use program like Link2SD. The internal memory is never enough for everything.
I think the only advantage is about the warranty, and depending on the root can have malicious code behind.

You can move apps to the external sd card by going to the Settings > Apps > Select an app > Storage and then hit Change. I don't think you need to use such kind of tools

Yes, the biggest use to not accept change to SD
In MM you can use an external sdcard as internal storage! Android will move apps then auto magically to the sdcard. No need for root no need for tools like link2sd anymore. Correct me if i miss a point here.

I use Afwall+ firewall to control which apps may call home. Second usage is AdAway that modifies your hosts file to block most ads in all apps, not just browser. A minor goodie is ClockSync that keeps your clock spot on.

you do know root still voids warranty don't you?
LG have a root checking tool RCT that logs if you have rooted your device.

not if you flash stock firmware.. or in the case of bootloop disable main core and root will be deleted when you flash stock KDZ. but unlocking bootloader you must ask LG for unlock.bin key , so i guess they have record that you requested the unlock key.. some have requested key , and say they didnt use it , got bootloop sent for repair and warranty was void and phone wasnt unlocked..
You can always pay for service if you cannot get out of boot loop yourself.
I think it is a risk worth taking considering benefits of rooting.

Who says that? Can you provide links?
Even LG says your warranty is void if you *unlock*, not if you just download the unlock.bin..
If anything happens and your phone has KDZ outs you can just use LGUP to go back to complete stock. I had a boot loader unlocked flag on boot and i used that to get rid of it when I had a bootloop and had to send my phone in for warranty repair.
You're saying a bootloader unlock is reversible/concealable?

its on the bootloop g4 thread... i can provide a link to a way to relock bootloader ... i have not try it..
well apparently thats what one guy said, since they might have record that you downloaded and requested unlock . bin cause i think they ask for something not sure if serial number or imei... so the guys said he assumes they have it on record and belive you unlock it...
link for relocking..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/help/relock-bootloader-h811-t3372970
I asked proof about what you wrote concerning:
LG denying service on the basis of their "who downloaded unlock.bin" database, *even though the device was NOT unlocked*.
Is there any? I would really like to know.. That guy you're referring to, can you find the post please?
Edit: ok, I just noticed the words "thinks" "assumes" and the like. I have read the posts, so don't bother looking. These are not personal experience posts, just assumptions.
Hi, I have a problem after re-lock and factory reset. My bank app, paylib, which allows to pay with phone using NFC, recognize my phone as a new one. The problem is that if I choose the"new" terminal for installation it doesn't work and installation aborts. Just message : error #tech. 03000# at the end. Is it because I relocked bootloader?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
I have the same problem with Google Pay after installing Leedroid.
I can add my card but when i click verify card the app glitches and force closes.

It's not working not because of your relocked/unlocked or locked status, it doesn't work because you probably messed with the OS.
See if you can find a ruu and flash it to be sure you are completely stock. If you had at some point rooted your software and unrooted it by the uninstaller it leaves traces. Bank apps are very bad when it comes to root.

Strange. Because i know several banking apps are even working on a custom rom rooted via Magisk. With the needed modules they are able to use the applications without any strange behavior.
Not sure where your issue lies then.

hey guys i know that you can remove the sprint apps with ADB but can you guys help me with all the instructions, what annoys me the most was the carrier hub app until i turned off the notification, and the activation when i boot the phone so should i remove alll the sprint apps or just those two and how
just go on the app store and download the app called application manager and find the file names of all sprint bloat you want to uninstall. Follow the adb installation process. The activation popup can be removed with uninstall this package name com.lge.lgdmsclientspr

Download and install the X-Posed app. Look for and app within the X-Posed repository called ROOTCLOAK, install the latest STABLE version, then enable it. You may have to restart your phone but afterwards, you will be able to tell ROOTCLOAK which apps to hide root from. I did this with my credit card apps and others that wouldn't allow use on rooted devices and it worked 100%.
