Hi,
I am a newbie to android and was curious so came out to xda developers for information
I have many apk installed on my nokia 7 plus and wanted to know of any known apk existing that would tell the developer and its country, not just its communicating servers ( which I think Intrace does)

The XDA app search?

Could you (XDA) issue an update for the new Android app that includes a search with options to search keywords in topics and keywords in responses...? Would help me out a lot, how about you guys?

Yes, that's something we want to add to a future version. We're only at 0.9!
How about a WinMo app?
And if you are working on it will there be some open beta tester spots?
Heard some rumors about it coming for other platforms

Google now music search problem

Hi
The problem is when I say to Google now "what's that song" it tells me that action is not supported for your country ... But the Google search widget is working fine.. Any suggestions?

You could use a VPN for location spoofing but mostly this is on Google..

I suggest you to use "App Settings", if you don't mind unsing Google Now in english. When you change the local of Now to USA you'll have full acess to all the good things Now has to offer. App Settings is a programm that allowes you to change a bunch of stuff for specific Apps. You need the Xposed framework installed on your device. Check out the Xposed thead: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401). Install the framework and then the apk from this thread: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072081). Give me a thanks if i helped you
Not really a problem.. Its just not supported in your country.

BBM for nexus 7

So bbm has just been released and it isn't available for install on my nexus 7 (2012). I tried using the leaked apk but it didn't work. I then tried to install via APK downloader but didn't work either. Can someone offer me some tips or suggestions or even the APK if you have it?
Also i know it just got released but I'm tackling the issue as soon as possible because i have been waiting for this for a long time now
Thanks in advance!
(I don't know if this is a question or a request for support so don't ban me, just shout at me and tell me to move this elsewhere (an exact location would be nice too )
This thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2493699 had a link that worked for me, but the app does nothing without a cell signal.

Are you using the Javascript API, or the Android one?
If you are using the Javascript API, you can use the Places API as suggested by jaison. You can find an example here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/places-searchbox
Hi,
I recently released an open source app that might help you using the google maps api.
Please check github.com/zland
You can get instructions on how to use google maps api by looking into the sub project zland-map (github.com/zland/zland-map).
To run the project simply clone it and execute gulp (you can find detailed instructions in the github.com/zland/zland-map/README.md)
Take a closer look into the file components/GoogleMap.jsx
For using the google maps api directions service clone the project github.com/zland/zland-generator-spot and look into the file services/RouteRequestDispatcher.js
