Hi all,
I have been deliberating between the Oppo Find X2 and the OP8 Pro.....but one thing that is obvious here in the UK at least is the serious lack of cases available for Oppo Handsets. I have been looking more at the X2 as opposed to the pro simply based on price but Im struggling to find a single case for the standard X2? I asked one of the sellers if its the same as the pro but they advised not....is this correct?

I'm coming from a Moto maxx/droid turbo with a snapdragon 805 and 3 gb of ram, i want a good phone without breaking the bank.
So far, my options have been reduced to mid-range phones like the xiaomi mi a1 and past-flagships like the galaxy s7 flat, the axon 7 and the htc10.
I don't really like big phones and i don't like bloatwared software either, however as the current phone market is in my country this tend to be really good choices.
The mi A1 here costs around 320-300 dolars, the HTC around 300 dolars and the galaxy can be found around 290-300. I haven't been able to find axon 7 or one plus 3/3t reliable sellers so this is why i'm asking this question.
I'm sorry to bother you with this question, but i would really appreciate if you could tell me your experience with your current htc, and if you think that at that price can hold it's value.

Bros, what you guys thinking of buying 7T now? My main criteria is custom ROM development support but only OmniRom and AOSiP (alpha) is there now. Since four models are released in a very short period this year and the 7 Pro is the one with so many custom ROMs like about 15+. None of the other have even more than 3 (OP 7). I want to buy the new one very soon because my current device has fallen from a very height and many parts need to be replaced.
I'm surprised at the lack of development myself, but I assume it's because of how new Android 10 is and the whole issue with TWRP. Might be the same on other Android 10 devices. With that said, I'm pretty happy with rooted OxygenOS atm -- even if other ROMs were available, I'm not totally sure I'd switch over.
The price for a new 7T and pre-owned 7 Pro is the same here. The size and weight of 7 Pro is a bit larger that's why I'm thinking of 7T but lack of custom ROMs is pulling me away. My current Z2 has large development support that's why I can't think of anything without custom ROM support. Another option is to buy a new K20 Pro for a lower price. Or a pre-owned 6T (same price as the new K20 Pro).
Bros, decided to buy a pre-owned 7T 8GB 128GB for $400. Found out that it has almost everything I like and doesn't have something I hate. I hope the development support will pick up anytime soon ?
Just got my 7T!!! And it's an amazing device.. ??
Yeah, I just bought a used 7t. Really thought I would go for the 7 Pro, but having looked into it, I'm not sure why anyone would. The 7t has all of the best bits of the 7 Pro [emoji106][emoji3]

Yes bro, 7T has almost everything which I wanted and lacks only a very few things. Like it has a
+ non-popup camera so faster fact unlocking
+ 90Hz of course
+ stereo speakers
+ 3 cameras with a wider one and now with a super-macro mode
+ OIS
+ less weight compared to 7 Pro
+ 855+
and pretty much everything a flagship needs. The only thing I miss is the QHD display. I have a VR/AR device so I wanted to use it for watching movies like in a theatre. The QHD display has less pixelated view compared to fHD for this use. But compared to other specs it is not a deal.
Hello, I see it's a bit dead here but I hope it becomes active soon enough.
Anyway, was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the global rom version on your chinese devices?
Im looking for the same answer as well. Im deliberating between the OP8 Pro and the standard X2 but at the moment Im swaying to the OP8 based on availability of roms and basics like cases!
Id also be interested to learn if by flashing the global rom on a chinese unit if it would lose dual sim support??
I have both the oneplus 8 Pro and the Oppo find x2 pro Chinese variants.
Flash to the UK firmware on the oneplus and it works perfectly. The oppo is another story, can't flash the global firmware yet and the Chinese one is a bit of a nightmare.
I think I'm keeping the oneplus but the X2 Pro does have a brilliant camera.
I want to buy Realme X3 as it has good specs and x2 also has good development. Is it good enough to buy right now?
and what about the development scene of Realme X3? it's XDA forum is pretty empty. Will it get similar support as x2? or is some typical never being developed phone?
The Oppo Find X3 Pro and the OnePlus 9 Pro are basically the same phone, with very similar specs and almost identical screens / features.
They even run the same OS in China!
The Oppo has received rave reviews, especially for it's camera offering and colour handling; yet the reviews of the OnePlus are still mostly saying the camera, colour, focus etc. experience "could be better".
So, excluding the faster wireless charging time (which most OnePlus fanbois derided as not needed a couple of years ago), what real reasons are there for picking the OnePlus over the Oppo?

For me it would be ease of root, modding etc., and I'm kind of fond of Oxygen OS despite the changes in Android 11.
This comparison is really difficult between OnePlus and Oppo. I am an oppo user and at the same time, I am a fan of Oneplus. Both of them have a very minute difference, I want to buy a good camera quality phone for my photography, and here I got stuck between Oppo X# Pro and OnePlus 9 Pro. Please write the difference clearly and help me to buy the best one
The Oppo seems to only support 1 out of the 4 5G bands that T-Mobile operates on, and doesn't have band 71 for 4G, if that matters to you.
