Hi.
Has anyone come up with a "safe" rooting method for this phone?
Sent from my Aquaris E5 FHD using XDA Free mobile app
philz recovery
I got root through philz recovery... followed instructions from some spanish sites, then did a summary on http://www.aroundtheglobe.biz/2014/12/30/aquaris-e5-fhd/
hope it helps
Here is what I used for my Aquaris E5 HD, maybe it also helps for FHD (new user, cannot post extern links in full):
mibqyyo.com/comunidad/discussion/77467/how-to-root-a-bq-aquaris-e5-hd-phone
I used Kingroot on my Aquaris E5 4G, and works perfect.

Short answer - no
Never flash firmware/rom for a different device no matter how similar the hardware is. There will always be something different and the configs are for cedric. At best it will bootloop your device. At worst it will hardbrick it

You will have to search
I have no idea - if it's not a popular phone worldwide it's not going to have level of development of say a Samsung Motorola or pixel
Again no idea if you can't find anything don't hold your breath
