[Q] Quiet keyboard and screen lock clicks

Alright, I've spent all day searching and can't find a clear answer for what I'm looking for.
Just last night my keyboard and lock sounds are very quiet, now I've seen others with this issue, but I haven't seen anyone explain why this happens or how to fix it.
So does anyone know how to fix this, or have I missed it in my searching?
lolwut. Are you talking about the audio output from the keyboarD? Like when you type it makes that noise, and now that noise is quiet? I think its tied into your general phone sound level. Check your settings under menu-settings-language & keyboard-touch input
Yea, all sound levels are at max and the other sounds ( ringer, text, emails, ect...) still play at proper level. But the keyboard clicks when typing and the screen lock/unlock sound is still there, but just barely making any noise
nobody's got anything?
also last night to took my friend's evo and his is doing the same thing, he said he noticed it soon after the 3.70 update
This just happened to me. I fixed it with a hard reset of the phone. I had to reload the few apps I had and sync my google calendar and contacts. Back in business. Have no idea why it happened in the first place, but they are working now.
i have to say, i never really liked the hard reset idea so i never did it. today i let the battery run until it shut off the phone, i then pulled the battery, put it back in and then charged it full before turning the phone back on. and now my clicks have returned

App or configuration for video rotation

So I have a makeshift dock I use with my I2. Because of the location of the charging port, if I want to have my device in landscape position and have it plugged in, I have to turn it to the right instead of left. However, I've not seen a video player yet that supports this, they only play in the landscape view turned to the left, so it plays upside down in the position that allows me to charge.
Anyone found an app or a configuration that lets this work the way I want it to? The default player and doubletwist both don't work for me for this, and I'm suspecting I'm SOL on this.
As far as I could tell from some searching you are probably out of luck on this one.
I wasn't able to find any apps that did this, and from what I found the OS is responsible for locking that down.
I even checked the app "Tasker" and couldn't find any options giving you that function.
You might just want to use a different dock, or rebuild yours to work the other way.
Not saying it's impossible though...
I have a sort of solution but I'm not happy with it...I think I'm just going to deal with it and wait until a real dock is released.

[Q] Music Pausing when receiving Notification

Before anyone rages me, I searched every thread on HTC Vision / G2. I looked at the similar posts:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105976

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=779005
None have anything to do with my issue. My own thread (I started in May of 2011) doesn't work this time around.
My issue: Music will pause when I receive a notification. I get a lot of emails / texts / whatever, and it's annoying as hell. When I'm listening to my music, it'll just pause it and play the sound. I've scoured all options. It happens using Winamp, Music and the newer streaming Music player. I've cleared the cache in DSP Manager, I've looked in CM Settings, nada.
Now, I'll say: This does not happen in CM Nightlies below 210. I flashed the latest: CM7 Build #227. I'm not overclocked, I'm not running task killers or memory managers. I wiped cache before updating... I can wipe everything, but I'd rather leave that for last.
I'd like to keep as up to date as possible with builds... But this is just driving me up the wall. Anyone have this issue?

Do you have a notification sound on?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
Yes. The notification sound cuts the music off.
Then turn it off lol. I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be that way. I would be pissed if it didn't pause my music lol, but I only get a handful of texts
So wait, you're telling me the way to fix this is to turn my notification sounds off? I'm not trying to sound like a **** here, but that defeats the purpose. I need to hear my notifications and also don't want my music cutting off when I get them.
I'm a Sys Admin, so I get a lot of emails and texts. If I'm on the train trying to zone out from work and it takes me 10m to listen to a 5m song, I lose my ****. Also, I can't afford not to hear them... if some box goes down, I'm responsible for getting it back online / notifying the business.
Any other suggestions?
that's fine but the reason you didn't find anything is probably because you can't do it easily. the very idea of that is to notify you if you don't hear it then you don't know it unless you check, but then again if your gonna regularly look for notifications why not just manually check. Just saying not being a **** or anything, btw you mean like when the phone is in silent mode?
---------- Post added at 12:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:44 PM ----------
just sounds like it would take some work to pull off, have you tried google? maybe an app developer got annoyed about this enough to make an app, i dunno wish i could help more
I don't want to keep looking at my phone and pulling it out of my pocket every 20 seconds to see if there's a notification. My phone is on loud. Not silent mode. I can hear the notifications, it just completely cuts off my music to play the sound. I work in The Bay Area, and the train I take home is crowded as hell. So, I'd rather not be reaching in my pocket to see what the deal is if there is nothing on the phone.
The thing is: It's always worked before these new builds. Stock 2.2 for the phone worked, CM 7.1.0 Final worked, and every build after that worked up until 210. I just want it to work like it used to.
I'll get on Cyanogen's Bug Tracker and post something on this. In the meantime, I guess I'll have to find an old build and flash back.

Have you tried to going to "Music Settings" and check the box saying "Focus loss ducking"? Its very simple so maybe you have but how do I know, right?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
That option doesn't exist in the Music player that syncs with Google Music, however; it's in Music.apk (The normal stock one). I'll try that out. That's the option I was trying to remember where it was. I'll try now. Ty
EDiT: Nope from stock Music App.
Trying from the other one.
EDiT: Nope.
Couldn't find it or didn't work? What rom are you running? And when you say pause do you mean it just completely stops and you have to press play to restart music? Or do you mean it pauses temporarily and then continues to play after the notification? I know quite a few questions. Lol
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Didn't work. Running CM7 Build #227. It worked on ROMS > 210. And I mean it pauses to play the notification then resumes music.
Maybe totally off, but you could try MIUI, it has this option. Maybe you will like it more than CM

[Q] Any ROMs that deal with the bad Sprint implementation of Driving Mode?

I've been perusing the 'request for ROM threads' for the last handful of days or so, but haven't seen any Driving Mode pros/cons stuff mentioned.
I'm guessing I might have to try a few ROMs, just wondering if any Sprint or other peeps have noticed any that fix the Sprint Driving Mode issues.
And I'm not looking for movie reviews on which ROM is the best or etc. or else I'd post in those threads.
I want to specifically know if someone has developed a ROM that deals with any driving mode tweaks, because Sprint/Samsung/Android is goofy in how they collectively work or deal with Car Mode and specifically Driving Mode.
Do any of you out there have a Driving Mode toggle in your custom ROM notifications? If so, does it get the TTS text readouts to function when engaged?
The Sprint stock ROM doesn't implement this well, and the only way to get Driving Mode on when getting into my car the first time is via S-Voice (which stinks, because I then have to use my NFC tag to toggle 5 things but only S-Voice will toggle Driving Mode)
And, I'm not sure if the Verizon Driving Mode is a nice add-on after Android/Samsung gave it to them or did Sprint delete it/mask it?
If you're wondering about the Sprint Driving Mode issues, I have a deadish thread here that no one has seemed to notice (because either I'm delusional or else not many Sprint rooted tweakers on here that want Driving Mode on in their car with ease)

Newbie trying to find features

So I've just got a OP3, moving from a Lumia 930 and several years with Microsoft mobile OS's and am trying to find a few answers about my new toy. I've searched Google but can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for.
Here goes, please don't flame me:
1. WP allowed me to automatically set quiet hours so only select contacts could get through and I wasn't bothered by notifications at night. I can't seem to find this option despite several walk throughs, the options listed aren't there. I know I can use the slider but sometimes when you go to bed tired you forget
2. Also looking for driving mode, when connected to Bluetooth the phone would only allow calls and texts to notify to stop distractions from other notifications.
3. Music player randomly opens, bit embarrassing when it fires up in the middle of a meeting
4. Phone screen doesn't always go off when taking a call, though this only seems to happen if I was using an app at the time the call came in.
5. I want to be able to block calls without installing an app, surely this should be a standard feature?
Think that's it currently, still getting my head around how to do things on Android and I'm sure there'll be more questions though hopefully I'll be able to find the answers myself
Thank you in advance
I can give you a few answers / recommendations. First take a look at an app called Silence Premium in the app store. This provides similar functionality to the slider but also allows the function to be time based. For example I have it set to silence all and only allow calls to come through after 11pm. At 6am I have it automatically un-silence all. This way I eliminate all the dings and beeps from Email or texts once I go to bed. The slider still functions normally as well. This should cover your first question. Note the trial version of the app is called Do not Disturb. Not sure why they chose different names for the paid and free versions.
For your second option, I use an app called Tasker to automatically enable an auto-reply to any texts that come in while driving. This feature is automatically enabled and disabled upon connecting to the Bluetooth in the car. Tasker is a pretty powerful app and can do a ton of different things. However it does have a bit of a learning curve and can definitely be intimidating. A similar app exists called Automate that might provide similar functionality. I haven't used it yet so can't really comment.
Hope this helps.
