Hey guys. Just bought myself a Galaxy SII, but when I try to open the Samsung Apps store, it keeps telling me I need to update. After accepting the update, Samsung Apps doesn't install the update and I'm stuck in this annoying loop.
I'm located in Hong Kong.
I believe it is the UNAServices update.
I am unable to find any info on how to fix this.
If anyone has a solution or can point me in the right direct, that'd be awesome.

Remember to allow non-market apps to be installed in settings->applications
For me 1st time, it didn't take very long to download, but that should be in the statusbar anyway..
Or else you can try to reboot your phone, but sometimes it goes away with waiting..
I have the exact same problem with my Galaxy Note (rooted and using Rocket Rom 2.3.6). Any solution?
I use this ROM for my N7105:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541860
All Samsung Apps are upgradable within the Samsung App-app (kind of funny but you know what mean) unless S-Note 3. It fails to update. It´s the April update... Is there anyway to download this manually and push it to the phone? I have searched around the web but I can´t find anything.
Since S-Note 3 is compatible with our Note 2 it shouldn´t be any problem, but I guess I'm wrong.
Ideas anyone?
Hello,
first - I am from Germany, so my English is probably not the best. But I hope you will understand me. I came here because nobody can help me in German forums.
I use the S4 Mini with CM13, root included. What I want is installing an app which is only for Android 5 and higher, exactly the "Seat Connect App". First I tried to find an APK for this APP, but there is no APK to find, although I try as hard as I can.
The Market Helper APK also not help, I tried to switch my phone into an S5 with it. The Play Store via Computer allows me to install the app, but the phone says the app does not confirm with my device (error code 940).
I also tried to edit the build.prob, I think it was the only way to install apps for higher android systems on old phones before the Market Helper App launches. But that old descriptions from a few years ago also do not help to fix my problem.
So I see no way to solve my problem, as it-specialist it makes me poor not finding a way to do what I want. So I hope you as absolutely experts can help me. Has anyone an idea what is to do to get the app on my phone?
Thanks and greets - spider2MW
I'm not sure how to get your phone download it from the phone's playstore, but if you want apks from apps that is in the playstore (free and not paid), you could go find them at websites that mirror the apk. Websites like apkpure dot com will do.
Here, I found the apk you needed, you could just download it. It's not modified, just a mirror. And it's the latest version, just the same as the one you'll get from playstore
(I can't post links I'm just a lurker and silent reader, so I insert spaces)
apkpure . com/ seat-connectapp/ com.seat.connectedcar.samsung
⊙︿⊙ Sorry, download failed, the APK does not support our device.
This is what I get when I try...
Of course there are many sites to download the newest version of the APK, but there is always another problem. Some sites go to an endless loop by preparing the download, other sides give me the wrong apk, and so on. I tried just about 20 or more links, but there is always another problem. So I would say an APK is not an opinion to solve my problem. Maybe a different handling of Market Helper or the build.prop helps, but I do not know how to do. Maybe someone of you?
Edit: Maybe someone of you can download the APK for me and send it to me on another way? Is that possible? Maybe the link works on your computer.
Hi guys, so I heard the news and looks like the ECG is only enabled on Samsung phone.
I was wondering if in the near future you believe there will be a way to bypass it (unable to sideload with tizen 5) and sideload to a non samsung phone.
I just bought my active 2 and I wonder if there is a point to keep it and wait or return.
Thank you.

I just sent a nice long tweet to Samsung because of this. Thats kinda shady.
Can't say I'm surprised really... not gonna buy any samsung stuff from now on. I guess well have to wait and see.
Hopefully someone (probably addfree) will figure out a way to bypass that. For now, no dice. Really upsetting
Same old Samsung...?
Works on my Pixel 4a
I got this to work on my Pixel 4a. This is more difficult due to the usual sideloading methods not working...
Here is my post from the other thread about it. That thread was a bit hard to navigate for me (newcomer to the forum, hundreds of pages, and easier to follow with a Samsung device), so let me know if I missed anything key there. In summary you need to install a modified Samsung Health Monitor app since we can't access the galaxy app store. Similarly, you need to install a modified ECG app. With this method (I couldn't use the standard sdb install ecg.tpk) you need to generate a certificate specifically for your watch through the Tizen Studio application, and then use the Tizen Device Manager to push the install.
Here's a reddit thread with detailed steps and screenshots to install the necessary tools to generate a certificate, sign your ecg.tpk file with the new certificate, and install it to the watch.
Here's the link to the tool that will sign your certificate. It has instructions there, but you basically put an unsigned ecg.tpk into the "sign_me" folder, run the sign.bat file, and a signed ecg.tpk will be in your "install_me" folder. You then use the device manager (steps and pictures are part of the reddit post above) to connect to your watch, and install the ecg.tpk file.
I used this ECG.tpk from adfree: https://ufile.io/pzd1qmw0
I used this SHM .apk file from Caravana: https://ufile.io/d9yxknv1
Edit: to clarify to someone reading this, it doesn't work for blood pressure. It shows up in the samsung monitoring app on the phone but I can't get it installed on the watch. I believe this is because it isn't approved in the US.1

Is there any risk of voiding warranty of the watch with this? And is there any risk of bricking the watch? Will it work for GW3 as well?
Thank you!
I think there is always some inherent risk in bricking devices or voiding warranties when you do this stuff, but it's not on the same level as doing something like a firmware flash.
So I was able to get the app on the watch. The only issue is that when I run the app on my rooted phone (S9 running lineage) I get an error saying it cant run on rooted phones (even though I have magisk hide enabled). Anyone know a way around this? Samsung health works just fine though (had to change my fingerprints to that of a oneplus to get it to work)

I have magisk hide enabled and it works well, try to uncheck and recheck the app in magisk hide.

Not sure why is that, you using SHM1.1.0.175.mod4.apk (Located here https://ufile.io/d9yxknv1)? Maybe try to uncheck Magisk hide delete the app, reinstall the app and before you open it check magisk hide again and open app..

What version of magisk? Do you use custom rom? any other magisk modules installed? custom kernel?
Dear all,
I´m struggling since I moved back from mainland China to Hong Kong. I needed to work there for a few months so I also bought a TV.
Sony KD-55X9500H (EU Version Sony KD-55XH9005).
Now since I´m finally back I hoped that I can somehow flash the original Firmware from the Sony Hong Kong website as it includes the google playstore.
But I´m failing with the following Message while I try to flash over USB "Software cannot be updated using this USB device".
I did format the USB Stick to NTFS, FAT32, exFAT, but it´s still showing the error message.
Is there any trick how to flash the firmware?
https://www.sony.com.hk/en/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xh95xx_x95xxh-series-55-65-75-/kd-55x9500h/downloads/00017082
Please let me know, if you need more details. I would really appreciate and be happy, if it would be somehow possible to make it work.
Worst case I would need to buy something like a fire TV stick.
Kind regards
Hi,
I don't know if it is possible to flash the firmware from a different country, flashing the EU firmware on my KD-55XH9005 did not even work for me. Somehow my tv did not recognise the flash file.
The error message you received when you tried to flash your tv sounds indeed like a partition format mistake. According to Sony it should be fat32, I would try a different USB stick, both USB 2 and 3 maybe that works.
If not, a couple of years ago I managed to install the playstore on a xiaomi tv from china so that should also work on yours.
Let me know if flashing still doesn't work, I can try to extract the playstore apk from my tv.
Good luck
edit: just double checked, I have the XF not the XH.. but I don't think that really matters for the playstore apk.
Hi thx for your answer,
I tried to flash it with different sticks and formats. Not working with the Hong Kong firmware.
Then I put the newest Chinese Firmware Update on the stick and it worked directly.
I wonder if it would work if I just rename the Firmware file to the Hong Kong Name one, it is slightly different.
But anyways I worry to brick the TV. Probably it will be better to buy a shield TV or Amazon TV Stick.
I also tried to sideload the Playstore APK but there is more needed like the playservices and other stuff. :/
Just when I thought I was the only person having this problem. I purchased the exact same tv you have.
I bought the KD-55X9500H last month and seem to have the same issue, no Google Play Store.
There are other ways to install apps without buying the FireStick.
Get a USB Drive, download all the apps you want to install on the SonyTV as you would on a FireStick.
Insert the USB Drive
Open App Assistant, you have to enable it incase its disabled.
Once you launch App Assistant, it will detect all the APK Files you have on the USB Drive.
To make things easier for me, I downloaded the Aptoide TV apk file, this has a marketplace for many apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney + and much more.
Once the Aptoide Marketplace is installed, you can install all the Apps you need, or you can install your apks manually if you dont trust the apps on Aptoide.
In the meantime, thats how I'm installing apps on my Sony 55" X9500H ,
Until a solution is found to get playstore, i guess we can install our apps manually.
Caution: Switching Firmwares could brick your new Sony TV, I would stay away from it until a viable solution comes out.
Any resolution to this. Any new workaround to get the playstore?
Also where can I find Android tv side loaded apps?
Thanks!
I am having the same issue, for the past couple of years I am trying to find a solution to fix KD-65X7500F Taiwan version. It doesn't include any google support and since I live in Bangladesh there's simply no connection between china mainland. So the tv is so wasted but Aptoide helps. Still I would like to have a benefit of getting a stock Asia Pacific firmware in this metal.
made the biggest mistake updating my Bravia X9000H last night.
The replaced the android launcher with the stupid Chinese launcher they preinstall on ALL Chinese devices.
super bummed about it. I think there is no way to install a different region firmware. so I wanna go back to Android 9.0. but I cant find the firmware for android 9.0
can anyone guide me where to download it ?
