How to properly flash Xiaomi.EU ROM, custom kernel and F2FS? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello,
It's been a while since I did any phone flashing - currently running on MIUI V11.0.3.0.PEIMIXM with unlocked bootloader, so I want to make sure not to screw anything:
- put phone on fastboot
- 'fastboot boot twrp.img'
- wipe system, data, dalvik, cache, vendor
- set data, cache to f2fs
- flash xiaomi.eu
- flash custom kernel (rad or panda maybe?)
- flash anything else (like GCam)
- reboot
Is that the correct way to do that?

Some changes are
1. After fastboot boot twrp u have to flash recovery zip file to make it permanent (orange fox is recommended)
2. Eu rom stock kernel is best (I am using it and gives good battery backup miui 11 v 20.3.26

Thanks for the response. Does Orange Fox and EU rom kernel support F2FS? Have you tried other kernels on EU rom?

Yes you can but there is no guarantee that the gsi/sgsi will boot or if booted will work properly. Only testing will tell.

Anyone tried yet?please try and let me know is it suitable for our realme2pro or not.
bliss rom gsi pie arm64 a only
link- https://www.xda-developers.com/bliss-roms-android-pie-gsi-project-treble-release/
it booted fine
Is fp working in this and the gcam??
No brother,fp not working
I tried A only using TWRP (latest version), but it just hangs at the realme logo then reboots back to recovery.
Note: even though I flashed the img to the system partition it complained no OS was installed.
Prior to that I had done a factory wipe and then a system wipe.

11.7 A-Only Build with Gapps built in
11.8 A-Only Build Stock (without Gapps)
Both versions failed!
Many a times brother due to vendoe problem this loop happens. When this loop happens try to boot to recovery and flash vendor.img and you will be able to boot to rom
Step For Flashing-
1.latest twrp or r2x2 recovery
2.then backup
3.wipe system, vendor.userdata, cache, delvik cache for clean install
4.flash vendor zip first link- https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397931146
5.unpack sytem image flash to system link- https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397933944
6.wipe cache and delvik cache
7.Swipe to reboot
8.wait for few minutes it booted to bliss rom
caution-
latest system color os a.17 build vendor not worked
flash only linked vendor zip from above
then you good to go
best of luck

The same problem persists. It loads the REALME logo, and immediately reboots into the Bootloader.
Is vendor.zip flashed using TWRP Install? Or does it have to be flashed to "boot"?
vendor only flashable from twrp recovery

whats the variants phone are you using?
4/64 or 128ufs
indian or others
are you flashing inside any mode?
just flash vendor zip & bliss img to system and reboot, wait some time
Got it to work after flashing vendor.img
Does this require a device specific kernel to already be installed from a previous ROM? When I checked the kernel in my Realme 2 Pro it was the same kernel as what is used by device specific ROMs: 4.4.78-perf+
Can I flash a different kernel from here?
https://github.com/BlissRoms-Kernels
i am not responsible for that, you may try but recommend-no,thanks a lot

I use a 4/64 model. Indian itself.
I did not flash inside any mode (that I know of at least).
I ended up bricking my phone completely somehow. It would show the RealMe logo, and then boot up into a blank white screen with an input bar, and keyboard. But nothing else. It refused to boot into the bootloader as well, saying that there was some error.
Also, I had tried flashing the vendor zip first, and then the bliss img. Whenever I did that though, it would show "No OS installed. Do you want to continue?"
Thanks for trying it but this isn't working on your device & I am also sorry, plz try stable rom from xda or stock rom that can be best for you, best of luck ?

Error 7 Twrp

I am Argentine and practically do not speak English, so I will use the translator and it will not be the most accurate.
I am one of the people who change the ROOM of my cell phone every week and until nothing, 1 month I almost get the "Error 7 updater" in TWRP when installing any ROOM AOSP, but in ROOMS xiaomi does not happen, I have seen videos on which said that I had to modify a text inside the room and others, which works and removes the error but at the time of using the device it does not work for me:
The flashlight, the camera, does not recognize the PC, has no audio and so on.
I can not find any way out of that error, and I'm a fan of pixel experience, I went back to Miui because I wanted to use the gestures they had a few days since I missed them when I had the buttons on the screen, but when I wanted to reinstall the pixel experience came out that error, and with any other room that is not MIUI, please the one that can help me I thank you :good:
You need to flash official twrp recovery. download recovery from https://dl.twrp.me/whyred/ and place it in you internal storage or sdcard et cetra and flash from your current recovery. I hope this will solve your problem.
But remember that the link i mentioned above is only for whyred (Note 5 Pro)
thanks your answer, but that does not solve the problem, in fact I already have installed the twrp 3.3.0.0

1. unlock bootloader
2. Boot twrp temporarily and then flash twrp.img from twrp recovery (always flash latest twrp recovery)
3. Format data
4. Wipe >> advanced wipe >> wipe system data cache and dalvik cache
5. Reboot to twrp recovery once again (very important)
6. Flash pixel experience ROM
7. Reboot to system
Do this and you are good to go
I followed the instructions but it doesn't work. all aosp roms cannot be installed by error 7 in twrp
A mí me pasó instale la ROM Havoc y volví a Miui... después me salió ese error 7 cuando quise instalar la pixel experience lo solucione haciendo el 'format data' borrando la memoria interna.
I performed the following instructions on my phone (360 hours of waiting)
1. unlock bootloader ok
2. from fastboot (fastboot boot twrp-3.3.0-0-whyred.img) boot twrp temporarily and then flash twrp-3.3.0-0-whyred.img from twrp recovery to recovery partition (always flash latest twrp recovery)
3. Format data
4. Wipe >> advanced wipe >> wipe system data cache and dalvik cache
5. Reboot to twrp recovery once again
6. Flash pixel experience ROM
but it does not work error 7
assert failed: whyred .verify_trustzone("tz.bf.4.0.7-00082") == "1"
updater process ended with ERROR: 7 error installing zip file ....
unfortunately I can't install custom rom aosp
if I install rom whyred miui.eu it works perfectly

Were you on MIUI pie beta before trying the flashing?
PE is based on Oreo firmware, if you flash it when you have Pie firmware, error 7 will come up.

Yes...you can flash easily.....goto recovery mode and format data then goto advance wipe and select dalvik, cache, system and data if vendor is present then vendor as well then swipe and then flash the rom file by using install option...

Question Downgrade from android 12 to 11 (ArrowOs)

HI all. Is it possible to downgrade from Arrow Os 12 to 11? I have 12 installed but i want to customize even more with gravity box. Also some things in tasker are not working, like brightness control on v12.
Thanks in advance.
