All cameras behave like this

looks like extreme lense flare, generally happens when you point at a high light source.

Yes you are right but this was too extreme. So I could not believe it.
I used cleaning alcohol on the lens glass and now it's totally gone

No your camera is not defective. That is what happens when you point a camera at a very bright light source.

My Note 10+ dont behave like this if i shoot direct sun, neither all of my gadgets with CMOS sensors. This behaviour are very common on CCD sensors.

Rooted camera quality

Does anyone else notice a degradation in picture quality after rooting and putting custom roms on? I remember when I was unroot when I first bought my evo and I thought the camera was great, but lately it's completely washed out by light and can't take a picture without blurring even in good daylight.
I've tried it on 3 different roms, flipz, damage, and nonsense. All fairly similar with being washed out.
Any reasoning or is this known? It's starting to bug me.
I've been on Fresh's ROMs for about a week now, first 0.3 and now 0.5. I haven't noticed a change, but then again I don't use the camera much. I never had really high expectations for the camera anyway since it's just a phone, but I have to admit that it's much better than I expected.

Hey, I have a Hero. I noticed the same thing until I cleaned the camera lens with alcohol and a q-tip. Picture quality improved greatly.

I have a feeling my camera lens shield may be throwing it off.I'm going to clean and remove it to see if that helps

Turns out it was the shield for the camera lens that turned it to crap. I took it off and wiped the lens and its 20x better.
i dont know why they got resized so small. you might not be able to tell at this size but the top one is much clearer

Hiding scratches/chips in the bezel

Back in the days of the iPhone 5 (I didn't have one, it's just for reference) many people complained about the black one scratching and chipping easily, and silver metal being visible underneath, there was a fix discovered. "Birchwood Casey Super Black Touch Up Pen". Since I chipped the bezel on my 360, you think this would work? If so, which pen would it be? Flat, Gloss, or Matt, I doubt it would be Matt. I'll leave pictures of the damage to my watch below.

I tripped and it hit the ground before my hand. I tried marker too, it came out almost a purpley colour. Gonna order that marker soon, hopefully it'll work.

Problem with camera.

Hi,this is very weird. When I took picture to "lights" like a lamp, or a screen, i have this problem. Is this normal? If not, is there any way to repair it..

Well, firstly, have you tried using IPA to clean the camera lens? Has the phone gotten wet recently? Looks like oil smudges on camera lens. Or water underneath camera lens.

Hi, no this is not a problem of water or dust, the phone take great photos to close objects, this only happens in low light conditions, or when taking a photo to a light
It's actually natural... very few cameras won't do this

High brightness... most cameras cant handle it

Question What does the Pixel 6 Pro screen look like under UV?...

Because no one asked....Well it looks like this. Wonder what's the tech behind this screen. Maybe that whole section is more "translucent"?.

That whole section is where adhesive doesn't reach hence the hollow sound it's edge glued display

Yeahhh, iv heard that hallowish sound sometimes when I tap, like there's nothing under it lol, yeah it's just the adhesive going around it, cool though
That's perfectly normal my s8,s9,note10plus,note20 ultra,s21ultra all was the same when installing Whitestone dome glass under uv light
Reinforces that adhesive bezel whereabouts.
Looked like that on my 2XL when I was doing Whitestone as well. I assume it's the LOCA/adhesive they use to adhere the display/digitizer to the glass etc.

Question Xiaomi 12X LED Flash

Hi, I received my new Xiaomi 12X today and noticed that the LED flash on the camera works only upper side as you can see in the photo. It is normal? Shouldn't both LEDs be lit? Maybe someone can check on its 12X does it work in the same way?

Almost became blind while checking it here, but mine seems to use both of them, the lower one seems weaker. Tested with the camera flash and with flashlight on too.
As far as I know, most dual flash setups comes with a white led and a yellow one, so you can get a smoother white balance in your pics. Maybe the camera AI choose how much of each one is used depending on the light of the environment you're taking pictures, just a guess.
When looking with the naked eye, it is difficult to distinguish whether both LEDs are lit. Try cover the flash with a piece of paper and try again. Or zoom in with other phone camera.
Yup, seems that only the top one is on, like yours! (my old Redmi struggled a little to take this picture)
I found a Xiaomi 12 disassembly video and there is only one LED! There is a some kind of sensor next to it.
So everything works as it should, thanks for your time
