Hello everyone,
First of all, to all Moderators, please forgive me for posting about Xiaomi Redmi 1S in Xiaomi Mi 3 thread but I was desperate to find help from XDA community, and there were no threads or Forum dedicated to Xiaomi Redmi 1S.
Coming to my problem, I am stuck at Fastboot screen on my new Xiaomi Redmi 1S (Indian version, bought from Flipkart).
Reasons for the problem:
1. I tried rooting my Redmi 1S, and it worked fine.
2. Tried installing Xposed apk and it got installed, then while updated the count when I restarted the mobile, Redmi 1S got stuck at boot logo.
3. Fearing something might happen, I switched off the mobile after waiting for almost 35minutes, and wiped everything through recovery mode.
4. Then tried flashing the official rom from MIUI forums in the ways specified (http://en.miui.com/thread-38688-1-1.html). But nothing worked and the mobile remained in fastboot screen.
Can anyone please help me bring back my Redmi 1S??? Please.
THIS ISSUE IS SOLVED NOW
(Follow this Solution at your own risk. It worked for me, may not work for you)
Reason for bricking my Redmi 1S:
1. Trying to install Xposed app after rooting my Redmi 1S.
My Mobile condition before resolving the issue:
1. Stuck at Fastboot screen even when I plugged it for charging.
2. Mi-Recovery was still working.
Important Links that I followed:
i. http://en.miui.com/thread-38688-1-1.html
ii. http://en.miui.com/thread-38687-1-1.html
The way I solved it:
1. USing "http://en.miui.com/thread-38688-1-1.html" I installed fastboot drivers.
2. Downloaded the latest Official ROM for Redmi 1S from "http://en.miui.com/download-226.html"
3. Then, rather than flashing a Fastboot ROM, I flashed a Custom recovery (I used CWM), because Mi-Recovery doesn't have an option to Flash from External Memory Card.
4. I opened the custom recovery and flashed the Official ROM from my External Memory card, and bang, it worked
5. Once again go back to MI-Recovery and Wipe everything before using it normally, because few MI apps and Keyboard were frequently crashing.
Amusing & Inconvenient things that I found after my device was working fine:
1. I got more storage space after flashing the Official MIUI ROM (It was only around 370MB)
2. There was no System 1 and System 2 after going back to Mi-Recovery and try to reboot from there. (I dont know if that will create any problem in future, so I am a bit worried).
3. The Official ROM is completely in Chinese. I mean, the Mi-Store is completely in Chinese and I miss my Official Indian ROM which I got when the device was delivered, because I am unable to read what I was seeing
If anyone has the Official Indian ROM for Redmi 1S, please share it with me here and the only reason I want to go back to Indian version is for English, or else the Official MIUI ROM for Redmi 1S is AWESOME and also occupies less storage space.

Xiaomi phones are much more easy to mod, develop, and to fiddle with. They themselves encourage development.
It is usually nothing to be worried about if your Recovery or Fastboot is accessible.. You can always flash a new ROM and revive it...
As far as Chinese apps are concerned just remove them using Titanium back up or link2sd (I am assuming u have the v37 installed that is prerooted).
And then flash gapps for your version of MIUI (it will be a zip file that has to be flashed thru CWM.)
NOW you should have a condition somewhat similar to your stock ROM. You will still have some traces of Chinese text in the system.
So at present the best option is to wait for v37 ment for India. It should be released in a few days. Or flash v37 Global version.
Remember XPOSED is not ment to work on MIUI. For MIUI we have WSM tools which shall serve the purpose.
Good luck :good:
I have also flashed cwm recovery by using fastboot and then reinstalled rom again

Hey thanks a lot... I did not see those three notations as tabs to move around "Redmi 1S-WCDMA/CDMA China" "Redmi 1S-TD" and "Redmi 1S-WCDMA Global", but I thought those were just indications to use the ROM for all those variants. Now I will flash the official Global ROM for my Redmi 1S. But to be honest, the official Chinese ROM is very less in size and gives more space for apps to download compared to Global version. And in the Chinese version many apps crash a lot, and the frequent crashing aps are the keyboards like Swiftkey, Touchpal but for now Go Keyboard is working extremely good and did not crash till now from past two days.
But thanks anyway.

problem with Recovery Mode
Hello Friends help me,
I've been using Red mi 1s for past 2 years, but a few days back it stopped working showing Mi icon blinking on the screen. I went to nearby MI store to get my phone repaired but i was told that it was a motherboard failure and costs up to 4000/-. I told them not to repair that phone. Later, whenever I charge my mobile, it was blinking showing FastBoot image. I did not know what to do with that mobile. Then I've decided to do some experiment with my phone. I tried to go with recovey mode. It has entered to recovery mode but it blinks continuosly, when I try to select the language my screen goes off. Everytime I need to put charging to go to recovery mode and it blinks before I select language and further. But now the problem is all my personal data and contacts are stored and in sync with MI cloud, only some of my contacts are in sim card. The worst part is I forgot my cloud password and I want atleast my contacts back. Please help me out..
Thanks in advance

Here's my story,
I was using Android 10 with TWRP before and then I bricked my phone by installing some magisk module and was stuck in bootloop. I was going to re-flash A10 global fastboot rom but I accidentally installed A9 instead and thus, my phone was hard bricked. Dead screen and only led notification light is on.
Here are the steps on how to unbrick your phone. (Not 100% sure if it works but we've got nothing to lose since our phone is already hard bricked.)
1. Try to install any A9 stock rom on your phone through "flash_all.bat" inside your A9 stock rom and wait for it to finish or at least long enough when you feel like it's stuck. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn5F12ixLB8)
You can download stock roms here (https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/begonia/)
2. Assuming you have installed most of A9 stock rom including preloader, try to flash "preloader_begonia.bin" and "lk.img" found here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-8-pro/how-to/guide-redmi-note-8-pro-megathread-t4056527) and follow instructions on how to flash both files.
3. Download and install MiFlash Pro (https://mega.nz/folder/xZtzjRQI#p24N5i5Xi1S_KXPGK4Hk4w)
4. (https://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/how-to-unbrick-redmi-note-8-pro/) Follow this tutorial starting from step 3 and wait for around 5 mins until "Download OK" shows up and then reboot your phone.
PS: If your having a hard time trying to detect your phone on your pc, don't connect your phone yet. Click the "download" button on SP Flashtool first and then connect your phone. Press all 3 buttons (Vol+, Vol-, Power button) until your pc detects your phone and SP Flashtool will automatically flash your device.
5. DONE!
Tell me if it works or not so that I can try to help each and every one of you. Cheers!

How can you even brick if you rollback to older Android version accidentally via fastboot ? This phone doesn't even have ARB
Anyway, it's possible to unbrick since you able to flash factory preloader and lk

That's the problem. I didn't know why I bricked my phone while flashing A9. It just didn't boot after rebooting my phone. I think as long as you flashed A9, you can proceed to flash the preloader and lk and unbrick it.

My RN8P don't have recovery or fastboot.

In soft bricks, you can access recovery or fastboot or both, and easily flash the stock ROM, but you have mentioned above that your phone was hard bricked, there is almost no way to unbrick a hard bricked RN8P without authorized account, even if you do, its very likely it was once in a million chance that it got flashed, best way to recover a hard bricked RN8P is to not mess it up more and take it to service center right away.
Help please!!
I'm Stuck.. idk what it is.
I flashed my RN8 with Google PE using TWRP. But now I'm stuck in some sort of boot-loop where I'm neither able to access Recovery menu nor the Fast-boot page.

there are ways to unlock the RN8Pro, even after a hard brick. Either you buy the UFI Box and do it yourself (180 €) or you call someone who does it using the team viewer, the call was cheaper and more successful for me. I would love to share the phone number with you guys, but I think the moderators will mind ?!

)
Cheers!

Can you guide me from beginning?

there are ways to unlock the RN8Pro, even after a hard brick. Either you buy the UFI Box and do it yourself (180 €) or you call someone who does it using the team viewer, the call was cheaper and more successful for me. I would love to share the phone number with you guys, but I think the moderators will mind ?!

Well I see it looks good, just tell me if you had a really HARDBRICK or just a SOFTBRICK?
I usually leave my phone charging overnight and today when I woke up the phone already was off, when i tried starting the phone it was stuck on the Redmi Logo and I also tried fastbooting but that is also stuck on the Fastboot logo. Its not even switching off now stuck on the logos, only turning off after 5 mins or so only on fastboot logo screen.
I have not rooted my phone and it had the MI update they gave by system updates, I think it was MI11 but not sure.
Is there a way to fix the phone?

Hi there,
I recently bricked my Redmi Note 9 Pro trying to reflash the original rom under TWRP. It was a Global version (joyeuse) originally.
It simply is stuck on a bootloop (Redmi logo showing up for 1sec then rebooting) so can't access fastboot or recovery mode.
After many hours of research, I kinda came to the conclusion that there is no way of flashing the rom in EDL mode without an authorized MI account for MI Flash Tool.
I'm still asking though : is there any trick to bypass it or flash the original rom without using an authorized account on a Qualcomm-based device ?
Cheers !

There's no trick and it cannot be unbrick as of now even mi service center can't flash fw through edl. Your only option are: 1.)Mi Service Center (they'll replace the board it'll cost you $120 USD like you bought a second hand of the same unit). 2.) Sell the parts to make profit and buy a new phone. 3.) Set aside and wait for available unbrick solution. You cannot avail services from indian and russian guys almost all their services are scam. That's all you can do and I can share.
Facing s similar issue. Looking forward to a solution..
I'm able to access both recovery and fastboot. Only issue is that i accidentally locked the bootloader while tinkering with it on mi flash unlock.
Apparently accessing EDL mode is the only way to get past this (based on hours of extensive google research, lol).
As of now I couldn't find any solution.
In my theory it can be unbrick in two methods:
1st method is bypassing authentication (server hack or modified mi flashtool).
2nd method is modified firehose programmer file.
We can use other flashtool programs like (Xiaomi Fire Tool, Chimera, and other paid apps to flash) but we need a modified firehose for that.
If someone else has the solution please help us unbrick our phones. May be we can donate instead of buying from someone else we don't even trust and letting them access our computer that's too risky.
Moreover, I asked xiaomi support, In our case they won't help us for them our bricked phones are trash. We are helpless.
In case someone has time to help patch these files for us. I got these files from latest firmware: (Joyeuse Global). I will donate my money instead of availing service.
Firmware:
joyeuse_global_images_V13.0.1.0.SJZMIXM_20220804.0000.00_12.0_global

Hello, I have my redmi note 9 pro (joyeuse) working again. After days of deep searching in the web for fix I almost got out of my mind.
If you have no other choice you can pay someone for authorized flash just make sure your phone can enter into edl mode stably. I was very skeptical and have trust issues but my only choice is: give it a try.

Hi, have you tried holding lower volume button and power button at the same time, that will make the phone go to fastboot mode. After that download XiaomiAdbFastbootTools and open it. It should automatically point you to Fastboot tab. In Fastboot tab under Image: 1. select ROM folder( oh forgot to mention to download FASTBOOT image for your phone's model before this) and for method put clean install and then just click on flash ROM and done.
Good luck from someone who has bricked a phone like you for at least 20 times lmao

Hey,
My phone is hard bricked, meaning that I don't have access to fastboot or recovery anymore. My only option was getting rid of the back cover, unplug the battery and short-circuit the pins with a pair of tweezers to access edl mode (which I did), then install the original rom with an authorized account (don't have + cannot find) or bypass the authorization or mayber with a modified firehose (I tried to find one, but didn't succeed as mentionned by gfchhhh earlier).
So I my brother gave me a spare phone that will clompetely do (redmi note 10 pro actually) !
Thanks for your time tho !
This happened to me in 2020 when I bought the phone after the release and I tried to install the Curtana ROM on a Joyeuse device, so I bricked the phone by mistake!
Thankfully, I found some shady Telegram group with people that offered EDL service from India (I think...) with official MI Flash tool from authorized service provider (supposedly they were the owners of the account). At first, I was skeptical and I tried different ways to service the phone, but couldn't find any so I delved into the shady realm of a remote service provider.
From my experience, the dude in question that offered the service seemed very rude because he probably didn't speak English very well. I paid him 30€ through PayPal beforehand, which I know it was a risky move. We agreed on a date to fix the phone remotely, but he wasn't punctual and I had to wait a couple of days for him to respond.
He connected via TeamViewer, he asked to download the MI Flash Tool (I don't remember the name fully), and asked me to put the phone in EDL with a paperclip or tweezers. Then I remember him logging in his Mi service account, sending a repair request (i think), and after a couple of minutes, he copied and pasted what looked to be a very long 2FA single use code (two factor authentication) to begin the flashing.
The process took about 30~60 min or so, of which I didn't remove my eyes from the computer at any moment to check if he was going to do pesky things through the remote access. After the long wait, the phone booted and I got my phone working.
I have never again tried to root the phone until today, because I have a severe problem with the audio interface and I need to modify some system files.
Wish me luck!
Hello guys,
I have an Issue with my Xiaomi RN8P begonia. It somehow managed to brick itself over the night,
the only thing that it does is, to restart in a bootloop and that's it.
Sadly the recovery is gone..
I've tried to reflash miui or the twrp.img but ... the bootloader is locked. nicen't.
Atleast it gets detected in fastboot mode..
This phone had been in this state for over a year now and since then, I've tried to find a way to safe it. Even contacted the xiaomi support to ask if they could reflash a new Image, but they want some
money for that ofc (since it is out of the warranty)..
Does anyone have a legit way to somehow safe that phone?
I really want it to work again.
Thanks for any further replies to this Post.
Hey,
Fastboot is working but you can't flash stock MIUI with the Mi Flash tool?
I have seen there is a way to unlock your Device in EvoX Telegram , maybe that may help you?

Sounds like your phone's internal Storage is dead anyways, I don't have another Idea.

Sad. I saw many results (5 guys):
- 2 was successful recover (lucky guys)
- 2 was successful boot but recognize that they had volume up issue (stuck or something like that inside)
- 1 buy a second hand rmn8p. He can boot in TWRP. But when he boot in system, just show boot screen 1s and bootloop. He gave up.

The second time I chosen the other method in mitool v2 and it flashed the 2gb firmware, again booted in miui recovery and still couldnt boot, then did the wipe and BOOM ii succesfully booted in 12.15 global
