Hello!
I have searched everywhere for Monitor Mode capability used for WiFi scanning, but haven't been able to find the answer. Has anyone tested if this phone/chip-set is capable?
If anyone knows your response is greatly appreciated :highfive:

If the s20 can go into monitor mode, that would truly make up for all the other idiosyncrasies this phone has. Kali on a s20 ? We need root for Snap dragon s20 first?

It's your phone and if you are interested in pen-testing for mobile devices so be it. I would rather be the tester than testee.

Hiya folks. I've had Xperia phones since 2010 and I'm thinking of replacing my broken Z3c with an XA1. However I really don't want to be tied into a 2 year contract for a handset that's unsupported.
So I was just wondering..I know it's early days..but is anybody else thinking of getting one of these?
If you're browsing this forum and considering a purchase, reply and let me know! :good:

I'm really curious with this phone. Instead of mediatek processor, do you ever experience any lag/error during multitasking? And I wonder how long this 2.300 ma power battery can stand for a day. Maybe you can share your screen on time with list of applications installed.

Hello, could you confirm one exciting feature of android 7 (atleast for me) that it works on this phone software.
As of Android 7.0 phone can read 2G/3G/LTE frequency without ROOT. Easiest way is to install app Cellmapper(mapping cell towers to map) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cellmapper.net.cellmapper
Could anyone run this app(enable "Use new Android 4.2 Cell ID API" in settings) and post screenshot while connected to LTE only or 3G when 4G not available(no wifi)? Also, maybe send debug report from settings menu to developer([email protected]) with screenshot.
Thank you

Well, I've got this phone now. Got it this afternoon. Initial impressions are good. Yes it's not a powerhouse but, for a mid range device, it's really not bad.
Hopefully I can get it rooted soon then I can mod the hell out of it.

I've had it less than a day so I can't really comment. But I haven't noticed any significant battery issues so far. I've come from the Z3 Compact and this seems to do everything I need it to do at the moment. The sound is good, picture quality is decent (yes, it's not full HD or whatever but it's a phone..if I really need amazing picture quality on my videos I'll use my TV) and the battery seems okay.
Like everything, it depends what you're using it for. If you spend your whole day playing Pokémon Go at full brightness while listening to music, your battery is going to be annihilated..

The device has the potential but Samsung security and exynos processor are making it hard to be on full loose. But, as is evident from the history of other Samsung devices with exynos like j7 prime and many others, and also pretty good specs, we can expect a good number of developers to grab this one.

Still, all of this depends on how many people will go with redmi note 7 pro. I hope people realize that this time (and probably for the first time), Samsung is providing a better option than xiaomi at a little higher price.

Yes Brother.. hope they will push new update for A50.
I would like to start development on Galaxy A50. Currently waiting for open source kernel, I recently requested Samsung to release source code lets see. Need some testers maybe who can take risk of unlocking bootloader and installing custom ROMs, recoveries, kernels.
I am happy with camera, gaming particularly pubg(made for pubg) and display.
But fingerprint sensor needs lot of work.
They already gave one update for fp.
Hello Friends,
Just got my hands on the A50. Great display and good specs. Waiting for devs to pour in some goodies. Especially no HAL3 support

How is the public response in Europe?
Moved from ASUS Max Pro M2 to this beauty yesterday. Amazing device and I'm loving it.
I'm getting mine on Monday, really excited to get this one! just a question, does anyone know if in Europe (I live in Portugal) it comes with a rubber cover for the a50 inside the box?

I very much want to retain call recording on my next phone (which I need to buy asap before my old one dies). I was going to go with the OP7T since I have read it is still possibly with a rooted phone and it is one of the very few with for still possible.
Rooting without a idiot-proof tool-program is a bit off-putting though. And call-recording is the only reason I am interested in rooting (haven't felt the need for many years).
I have read that OnePlus phones have call recording enabled anyhow depending upon where the phone is purchased. What places would those be? UK or anywhere in the EU? USA? Gearbest?
Thanks in advance! I've just read the Asus ZenFone makes rooting incredibly easy so I guess that's also an option?

How well is the call-recording working for the those of you enabling it with jOnePlus Tools w/o root?
I have read mixed reviews. So whats your experience?
I assume there is no other way enabling call-recording w/o root?
it's a shame that this core feature is hidden by the corporate.
however the function is there with every device i had since this option was hid.
that's why i prefer rooting to enable it.
rooting OnePlus is the easiest of all brands.
plus, the external apps are rarely working, and you have to pay to play.
Nevermind...
Hi to all crew, sorry for the silly question but I totally newbie in the smartwatch world.
I bought a Samsung galaxy active 2 and at the moment I'm waiting for it.
I had looked at all possible videos on the internet but the only result tath I have archive is that now I'm really confused...
by the way, the question is this:
I own a Huawei p20 lite and I'm not sure that active 2 is really compatible with this smartphone!
I'm gonna able to use all functions?
like for eg Samsung pay, activity and phone synchronizations and so on?
is the active 2 the best choice if someone owned a P20 light or i can choose better?
ty for all who have the patient for answer...

Hello, would there be something in the works to enable esim on a custom rom?
Thanks
Hello nobody interested in having their z fold 3 dual sim enabled?
I think this is more at the FIRMWARE level and not the ROM level. If people were able to just flip a switch in a ROM, then this would have been put to bed a while ago?
Yeah, I don't think it's that easy, but if functional there would be tons of people on US and Canada (like me) who would love to.

I have a S22 Ultra and just added my TMO esim and it was flawless...
The only reason why I even have the damn (S22 Ultra) is because of that feature!
The Fold 3 is the best phone but without (esim) it's far worse than castrated!
