Hi.
The issue I have is that I'm on the latest stock firmware and everything went fine until I flashed TWRP and was going to boot in to recovery. Nothing happened and the phone got stuck at the Samsung boot with the usual message "The phone is not running Samsung's official software......." This could be easily fixed if I only could in some way get in to recover (that most be damaged) or in download mode. But instead all I can do is restart the phone over and over again and get stuck at the beginning. No solution that I have found works. So if there is no solution my phone will end up with "burn in" from the logo and still when the battery is drained I will not be available to do anything.
Ps. Please let's skip did you flash this and that first. I know how to flash but sometimes things just go sideways. Now I only need a solution how to get in to download/recovery mode. Thanks.
Any crazy ideas? :crying:

It is a long story, started with wanting Photoshare App. After rooting using Odin got into all sort of process stopped error. Desperate, downloaded and tried to flash CM10 using CWM. All I got was CM logo circling endlessly for 30 minutes. Pulled the plug and now, I seem to have a brick, can't even boot to recovery or download mode. When I try to boot to downlad mode, the warning screen appears for just a second and goes away. When I try recovery mode Samsumg log appears and then blank.
Is there anything I can do at this point? I appreciate any help I can get.

Hm. if you boot up your phone are you stuck at the cm bootup? If you are im sorry bro you cant fix it for free by sending it to samsung. JTAG for 60 bucks or samsung for 60 bucks. Reason being that it shows that you have rooted and modded your device. If you were hardbricked and nothing would turn on at all you would be able to send it to samsung and get it fixed for free!
Well if it shows Download mode then it might be working, just not showing, if you see a blue ID:COM number in Odin its working. Try to flash a stock ROM in Odin while in Download mode and make sure its in PDA or you will brick. Check only Auto-Reboot and F. Reset time.
If it works congrats if not search this forum for a service called JTAG which repairs bricks.

A little update ...
I was able to get to download mode after many trys and got back to stock -- unrooted. I should have stopped when I was ahead, but I was feeling invincible after this feat of reviving the phone and that was really stupid.
I wanted to root and flash CM10 nightly. I followed the instructions from http://rootzwiki.com/topic/32486-gu...m10-nightlies-without-k-exec-updated-8-18-12/. After unlocking the bootloader step, I wanted to backup the stock ROM I had on the phone -- I don't know why I wanted to do that as I had just flashed the stock and didn't have anything customized. Anyway, when I clicked backup from CWM everything died, kaput, nothing. I have been desperately holding the power button, reovery combination of buttons, download mode combination, anything I can think of, the phone is giving me the total silent treatment, which BTW I am used from a more human source.
Let me know if there is anything I can do, perhaps stand on one leg and try switching it on perhaps. http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/redface.gif
Sorry for the dumb jokes, I am a little frustrated, but I am sure I will get over it.
Thanks for those who took interest to read my question and those who cared to respond, I appreciate it....
Cheers!
are you getting any signs of life with the phone plugged in with or without the battery in?

Best advice...take out the battery, leave for 1-2 hours, insert battery, try to access download, flash stock in odin, reboot, don't flash any more Jelly Bean roms. lol
Dear XDA,
I have tried all I can to fix this problem. Let me explain how it all started.
I was using my phone normally, running the same custom rom ive been running for the past 6 months. I went to turn on wifi then turned off the screen. Later when i went to check my phone the screen would not turn on, so i performed a battery pull. After that i saw the normal google boot screen and then the custom rom boot screen. It stayed on that screen for a few seconds and then went back to the google boot screen. It then did this over and over, ive left it on for an hour once and it kept doing the same thing. Only way to stop this is with battery pull.
So what can i do with the phone:
I can access fastboot
I can access download mode
What have i tried:
I tried the following methods:
1) Flashing a Back Up
2) Wiping data, flashing a rom and gapps
3) fastboot adb http://rootzwiki.com/topic/13819-how-tovzw-return-to-factory-state-unroot-and-relock/
4) ODIN http://rootzwiki.com/topic/27050-vzwodin-files-needed-for-odin-winstructions/
The same issue continues even after successfully completing these methods. Im now down to my last strand and hoping the great xda community can help me.

Fastboot seems the best solution to me. What exactly went wrong? Also you could try a OMAP flash.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
To be honest I have no idea what happened. It happened out of no where didn't flash a new rom or anything. OMAP flash? Never heard of it but I'll definitely look into it and try it. I've tried fastboot method and still got the same problem sadly
Really hoping this isn't a hardware issue
I just tried an OMAP Flash and still have the same problem. Ive moved on to a new phone but I still want to get this one working. Any other ideas to fix this problem?
Got into the same problem as yours. I googled around, and most people fix this problem by flashing stock image. Basically wipe your phone clean, e.g system, data, cache etc. and then flash in the stock image u downloaded from google website throught fastboot mode. I tried that method, but my phone is still stuck in bootloop. You can give it a try and see if it works
Hello,
Here is what led to my issue:
I rooted my phone using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38886073#post38886073
Downloaded clockwork rom manager.
Here comes the thing I don't remember. At least i know that the last thing i did was to click on 'backup current rom'
After this the phone reset itself and this message came up:
Secure booting error!
Cause: boot certification verify
Then i tried to reset using the power button, which led me to the 'battery full' screen - afterwards i was able to reboot. As stupid as I am I just tried the same thing again. And ever since i am stuck at the 'Secure booting error!' screen.
I am unable to enter download mode. I get to the 'Hard factory reset' screen, but if i accept doing so, it says 'Secure booting error!' again.
I also remember clicking on 'restart into recovery mode' at some point, but this is not the last thing i did.
I am really desperate. Please, help me!
Well i had the same issue today... It happened after i did two changes. One of them was to to try to relock from freegee and flash twrp again from freegee. In my case i was able to go in download mode and flash original kk rom with lg flash tool.
Unfortunatly, trying to boot in downloadmode, i still get the same error :/

How are you trying to boot into download mode? And what factory reset screen? It seems as though you did not unlock the bootloader using freegee, if you make any changes and relock the boot loader you will get that error. But it seems that it has not been unlocked. If you hold power and volume up what happens? Same thing when power and volume down, one of them is recovery (possibly factory reset you are seeing) and the other is download mode. I don't remember right now but you should read the whole softbrick thread and see if you are missing something. You may need to use LGPNST to go back to stock, you can also use that program to flash a new recovery so read carefully and follow all steps.
When this happened to me I was able to flash an unlocked bootloader and it allowed me to use my phone again as it was before doing something stupid (for me it was an attempt to re lock the bootloader).
well, i managed to get into download mode. Obviously i used the wrong method to get into download mode...
I used this method and everything worked fine, so far. : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249500
My phone doesn't boot now. Fast Boot doesnt work aswell.
All that happens is a white battery showing on the screen and when i try to fastboot all that happens is that the LED is blinking or glowing red after some while.

What do you mean when you try to fastboot? Fastboot is basically the bootloader and allows you to select recovery or download mode. What you should have done after following that thread is go to recovery and wipe everything and flash a new ROM.
If you are saying that the bootloader is not coming up and allowing you into recovery then I believe something was missed.
After trying out some varioants of this it worked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40274560&highlight=red+led#post40274560
I wiped the phone, but since I had to leave over the weekend i just turned it off and went away.
Now that I am back, nothing works now :/ The Phone doesnt react to anything, not even donwload-mode.
Is the battery too low maybe? It's on the wall now for a few hours, but it still doesn't react. It's not warm either.
edit:
when i charge the phone, i will get a 'watchdog bark' after some time allowing me to get into recovery. accesing downloadmode from there doesn't do anything. strangely, the recovery isnt trwp although it should be because teenybin comes with it. it's 'bbs.gaodi.net' which doesn't have a sideload feature. what do i do now?
edit2:
after 10000 tries i got into download mode. i don't want to **** up now so i won't do anything until i know exactly what to do.
any advice?
edit3:
got it working by flashing another teenybin which included trwp - then i installed miui via sideload. i don't have signal though, but i will open another thread for this since this is another issue.
Hello guys,
A few months ago, I rooted my phone using kingroot. After a few weeks, i tried to install TWRP custom recover to unlock bootloader. I accidently downloaded a wrong version of it and flashed it using flashify app, after which i booted into recovery to check the new recover mode. But, something awkward happened. THE BOOT MODE DIDN'T OPEN AND THE SCREEN GOT STUCK AT "Booting into recovery". I read on the internet and realised that my device has got soft-bricked. Also, phone wasn't rebooting. So, i found a solution atleast start my phone. I took out my battery, pressed the buttons for download mode and then placed the battery back in and pressed the buttons for download mode and somewhow rebooted my phone (i read about this technique in xda forums). Now, although my phone works but i cannot access the recovery mode as it has got soft-bricked. Thus, i cannot perform a hard reset as it gets caught in that "recovery booting stuck cycle". So, can anyone tell me how to fix this? PLS QUICKLY. aLSO, i don't know much about ADB, so pls explain that too as my friend suggested me to use ADB to fix softbrick but im not sure!!
:crying:
I am having a real problem with my LG G3 at the moment, right now i am unable to enter the download mode and it has a bootloop problem. I can try and enter recovery mode but since there is no recovery mode like twrp for instance, i cant do much there either.
Now the bootloop problem is basically the lg logo showing for about 10 minutes, when you finally see android is starting and setting up apps, it will just turn of and on again, i checked and the battery is fine and so is the power button so its not a hardware problem.
As for what happened, a friend of mine was going to flash a kernel onto it, but flashed the wrong one for i believe a different model, which is the reason these problems started happening.
I have tried fastboot, download mode and recovery mode, but all do not seem to be working.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could fix this? Please let me know.
And i know people might want to know the model but thats kinda hard to figure out when it wont properly boot.

So you didn't know what variant you have. Hmm, check this site for ways to ID your model...

Try to connect the charger during the bootloop and wait (it will continue in bootloop for some minutes) to see if it initializes corretly. Then you can try to enter download mode.
I have once got sutck on the bootloop screen and wasn't able to go to download mode. When I tried to connect the phone to the pc with volume up pressed, It showed 'download mode' for some seconds and then, it turned black again (no 'firmware upgrade' as it is supposed to happen).
Then I tried just connecting the charger as I mentioned above and, eventually It turned on correctly.
Hope this work to you.
