Hello,
I have a Renault Twingo 2017 with R-Link updated to the last firmware version available that supports Android auto via usb cable (11.344 renault firmware) and I am on the last EU miui firmware 11.0.3 stable PGGEUXM with android 9 (01-11-2019 patch).
When I connect the phone to the usb port with the original phone's usb cable the car's system will tell 'usb device not supported'. I tried to dowgrade the android auto version by downloading it from apk mirror but it will automatically apdate the first time I open the app. Any suggestion to make it work?
hello it works well for me and what I did was remove the usb debugging. try
I found out it was not an issue with the phone but it's the car.. Renault enabled smartphone mirroring in the ECU only after a certain date so my car don't have it available (with the same firmware as mine later cars have it enabled by factory) . I ordered an obd adapter and I will check after enabling it with a guide I found on gps-rlink website and some related youtube videos about ddt4all program (I can't link external sites).
Probably this is not an issue with the phone itself.
This thread may be useful for people trying to use it on various renault models from 2017 and early 2018 advertised as compatible with android auto but without the mirroring icon available.
I confirm it is working fine after enabling it in the ECU of my car.
Bought a Ford Elm-327 bluetooth adapter with CAN switch, soldered pin 3 to 13 and pin 11 to 12, and with DDT4ALL wrote the "android auto enabled" flag into the ECU. Everything fine on note 8 pro, just updated yesterday to android 10.

Hi,
I noticed that Bluetooth Serial Port Profile got broken on my HTC One M8 after Eye Experience / Android 4.4.4 update. (Android 4.4.4 / Sense 6.0 / 3.28.401.6 / SDK API level 6.25 / kernel [email protected] #1 / build no 3.28.401.6 CL3...)
More specifically, I can pair bluetooth devices and establish SPP (client) connection, but data transfer to either direction (tx/rx) does not work. Has anyone experienced same?
The other end does not seem to matter, I have tested my phone against normal desktop Linux systems and various microcontrollers with BT/SPP modules.
I managed to solve this. HTC One M8 with Android 4.4.4 does not like if master-slave role is swapped in the middle of connection.
After role swapping the Bluetooth goes into some strange mode and nothing works. If you do the role swapping at the beginning of the connection, everything is ok.
Hey guys
I was told by Philips that my type of Android TV is not being supported with new Android 8 update. Is there any possibility to upgrade to higher version than 4.2.2? It is really making me crazy.
Eventually no apps working properly and no apps to download and above that the TV is bloody slow like snail....
would be greatful for any help.

Hi,
there does exist a hardware upgrade kit for your TV: https://toengel.net/philipsblog/201...pgrade-kit-fuer-2013er-2014er-und-2015er-tvs/ (officially with Nougat, but Oreo is possible)

My now rooted Xiaomi Redmi 7 comes by default with Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, but as far as I know the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 has support for Bluetooth 5.0, I've been doing some research and cannot find a proper answer to my question, also checked some similar posts to this one but none were the same, were all different questions, so I wanted to ask if it's possible to upgrade from Bluetooth 4.2 to 5.0 without any hardware update? or is needed to update the internal Bluetooth Adapter to actually update the Bluetooth Version? Thanks in advance, and sorry for any mistake that I may had.
no bro , hardware is required to upgrade to 5.0 and that too is not normally possible

Hi, I just received the MIUI 13.0.6 on my Pad 5 in India. Since then the pen drives arent being detected by the Pad 5.
Have some settings changed after the update? I tried a few things like changing the default USB behaviour, but nothing worked.
Any help would be appreciated.
