I've got a stock SM-G960W (Snapdragon) running android 10 and want to switch to a custom rom, preferably something more privacy oriented. What are some good options? I've seen lots of guides on rooting+flashing the Exnyos variant of the S9, but not the one I have. Thanks!
I do not believe the (SM-G960W) can be rooted, has not changed so there are no options for custom roms

Newbish post. As the title states, I'm hoping us 910V users can get some love and start seeing some RR Builds
I wish to but there is no public Marshmallow or nougat device tree and there's only one person with one and that's @hsbadr he does not share.
---------- Post added at 04:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:40 AM ----------
I have heard of flashing N910F resurrection remix and it works but data doesn't work can't really confirm.
I would LOVE if some love could be giving to N910V our device, I did install the N910F RR which work ok but had issue with data at times and more so in call issues, not hearing the person I am calling and them not hearing me. if WE COULD GET THIS AWESOME ON OUR DEVICE I WOULD BE HAPP
I wonder if Master Dev @hsbadr could do this for our devices, bring the RR to our devices.
Added poll to possibly persuade dev interest
considering hsbards affiliation with team emotroid it is most likely not his property to hand out .
.

it is my firm belief he's just using the 910f device tree listing .....I'm basing that on his affiliation with emotroid who pretty much exclusively dev for the international varient . the 910f device tree is on github so is multisystem kernel . off u go then. PS : any 910f ROM will install/load/run on the 910v as long as you are on the same firmware/bootloader combination . you cannot have updated the firmware beyond BL however to maintain compatability. as far as the data is concerned the data fix from Dr ketans 6.0.1 ROM should fix (might be necessary to manually enter APN given the international varient isn't carrier branded)
Any Update On Note 3 Neo Lineage Os 14.1
Does anyone working on it to make it stable?
I had a chat on IRC #lineageos some days ago : nothing is even started for Exynos 5260, and nothing will start (too old, and as these devices are/were very common, if no one has yet started working on them at Lineage, then there is very-very little hope it will happen later, and even less as time passes).

No one is working on these bcos the phone is old now. The company has started the project for newer phones & are not doing anything to stabilize this.

Hi,
Last month (December 2018), I purchased a US carrier unlocked AT & T version of a Samsung S9 (SM-G960U) . I am currently residing in a different country, and everything works fine - except there are no updates! The last security patch level update is July 1, 2018. Everytime I check for software updates, it says the software is up to date. Is there any way to update to the latest firmware?
If you aren't/won't use any of the AT&T features you can flash your device to run the unlocked firmware(which pulls it's updates from Samsung). Look at this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9/how-to/how-to-flash-u1-firmware-to-device-t3765200

Thank you so much! I think I will do just that, as long as the firmware gets updated. I had one more question if that's okay, does the PDA/CSC version matter? If I install for example the G960U1UEU3ARL1 version, will it cause any problems?

Hey I have the same exact issue, can you tell me the steps you took to switch to the U1 version? Not sure if flashing to the U1 version has the same steps as just flashing to another U firmware

Hi, I just recently updated to the U1 version, and it works like magic. I'm getting all the updates (finally), and it works smooth as butter. I download the firmware and followed this tutorial -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVhR0E9ACnY
Remember to flash Home_CSC if you want to keep your previous data/apps.
Can you tell me which version of odin you used?
I've tried two versions but it's not working for me

no links work at all
Its been almost 2 weeks to the launch of the phone but theres been little to No development happening. Are there any developers interested in this phone..when are we going to see the forum happening..
COLOR OS is so buggy, we need custom roms . Developers its time to start your magic :victory: .
Hit like :good: if u guys agree .
Don't need to ask at this moment, because the BL can't even be unlocked.

I found this on google
https://myphoneupdate.com/unlock-bootloader-on-realme-x/
Even f you unlock bootloader you wont be able to do much. Kernel sources are not yet released for Realme X. Unless kernel sources are released, you guys wont get TWRP. If there is no TWRP and Kernel Source, then you cant have any custom roms built from source.
I was gonna buy Redmi K20 pro. But dont see any extra benefit spending another 14K just for SD 855. Realme X is a great device and has everything i need.
1) Fairly good chipset for 15k. SD 710
2) AMOLED Display
3) Amazing camera ( once we have root and custom rom, we can start using GCAM in this phone )
I really hope they release kernel source for this phone asap, so devs can start modding and compiling the **** out of it.
We can still use Gcam there is a link in forums .
When the roms will come
u can use gcam out of the box. cam2api is enable by default.
Plz provide us the custom roms
Where is most desirable Custom Rom of realme X Developers, Please do something for realme X.
Still waiting for realme os?
Realme is sending phones to famous developers. You guys can expect stable custom Roms and kernels soon!
Good news ?

Please no realme OS. Better this https://www.xda-developers.com/realme-x-custom-rom-kernel-lineageos-developers/amp/
realme should partner with lineageos or havoc to ship units with that os
If u want custom rom, u should choose Xiaomi or OnePlus.
Even Xiaomi, some devices doesn’t have official custom rom, such as k20
Yup good news

Is there any way to downgrade from 9 to 8.1? considering I've updated my bootloader I see no way back. I'm currently on SF4 hoping to go back to ARK4 any help is greatly appreciated.
as far as i know, once you upgrade the "U1" to another version ( liked me, upgrade from U1ARK4 to U3BSG4). There is No Way to downgrade to lower U version.
just like downgrade the ios i think.
---------- Post added at 01:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:31 PM ----------
but I found some clue about downgrade that thing.
some people say that you need something called 'Roll-back package android 9 to 8 model T835' to odin flash before flash the lower zu firmware.

The only 8.1 firmware I've found on revision 3 is a combination rom. I find it pretty stupid that OEM Unlocking doesn't disable these checks. Im not the biggest fan of OneUI on a tablet. I would prefer Samsung Experience. Thanks for your help though.
I believe it depends on the botloader version you have.
Usually a new version of Android means a new bootloader version too. Not always though and if the lower version of Android (8.1) supports the bootloader you have installed in the newer firmware (9), then you should be able to regress.
If the bootloader isn't the same then you will end up with an error when flashing and need to reflash the newer firmware to get up and running again...
