Does any got this wakelock BSS_indisplaysensorhelper under system is draining tons of battery everyday? I can't find any info about it online
Is this from better battery stats?, I sometimes used it, but, as per some reports over here about the kernel memory leaks when ADB permissions are granted, I uninstalled it along with Gsam battery

Last night, around 2am, I unplugged my phone from the charger before i went to sleep (it had WiFi on) and now when I woke up and checked it at 1:30pm the next day, I had 35% battery left! WHAT!? checked battery stats and Android OS ate up 51%! with phone idle at 12%
anyone have any idea what's going on? I have everything except WiFi turned off, GPS, Location Services, Auto-Sync, Auto-Backup, everything. I also underclocked everything via cpu master and trickster mod. I greenified facebook, viber, skype and any other app that could potentially wake my phone from deep sleep.
I checked trickster mod, deep sleep was at around 5hrs with 162mhz at around 7hrs. don't have any screenies of those since I rebooted my device right after I plugged in the charger (helps with displaying correct percentage)
I've attached a screenshot. I've never seen that kind of downar plunge in my battery stats. ever. this is the first time it's ever happened.
I'll install wakelock detector and give it a few hours. I know my phone drains around 1%/hr while idle, maybe even less.
EDIT: I already started when I took the second screenshot. I forgot to take a screenshot of the rest of my battery stats. so don't mind the time and the difference in battery percentage.
that's kernel problem. I meet that problem before, while I'm using AK-kernel with Vanir ROM. Kernel make screen always on to increase respond for S2W and Double Tap to Wake, but also cause this problem. In Android 4.4.2 also have this issues ( Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 is an example, you can search Google for this ).
You can install Better Battery Stats to check wakelock issues, but you can't do nothing, unless you have to changed to another kernel

don't have S2W and knock on enabled on my kernel. I also tried those and their battery drain is nothing compared to this!
I've charged my device and now it's showing Google Search as the culprit. now looking for a solution.

Solid Kernel + Stock 4.1.2 with a few xposed modules. I've solved the problem. Had to completely turn off Google Now and blocked wakelocks from Google Play Services.
I'll give this 3 hours and see if it goes back to the 1%-1hr idle drain. Battery stats seems to have improved, I'll post my post-fix battery stats in around 5 hours just to check if the problem comes back.
aaaaaaaaaaand it's back. This time it's not Android OS but Google Play Services that's eating the battery up. I now get 2%/hr with this new problem.
I checked trickster mod and my phone is not entering deep sleep. checked wakelock detector and it showed GCMSEND as keeping the phone awake. (1h 52m out of 2h)
Anyone know a fix for this? I've currently filtered it in Wakelock Terminator and I'll see how it goes from there.
UPDATE:
22 mins in and phone is in Deep Sleep 84% of the time. filtered GCMSEND and added 2 lines to build.prop that supposedly improves deep sleep.

Will leave it overnight to see if it stays this way.
yeah, noway to fix it because it was an issues of kernel.
If GCMSEND always running, you can downlod app called Disable Services, and Open it to disable some service in Google Play Store and another system app. Try it and will see if it's working.
This is my third thread about battery drain (standby).
Now I'm on RR and I've been also on aicp but both unlike cm are showing *alarm*, *launch*, and lcing wakelocks on random apps.
And I'm wondering do you get same wakelocks graphs in BBS?
And that is 7% drain over night.
But...
I'd didn't happen when my phone was in my pocket...
Does that mean that doze is the problem?
Still no help?

Hi,
I have an unrooted Note 4 that is updated to the latest marshmallow. Lately I have been having battery drain issues. I have GSam Battery Monitor to see if I could figure out what was going on. The only thing that it is telling me is that my phone is pretty much staying awake all the time. Unfortunately I cannot tell much more than that.
My question - is there any way at all for me to figure out the culprit? I looked online for a while and saw references to using Wakelock Detector on unrooted phones with a couple of ADB commands, but that doesn't seem to be an option with Marshmallow.
So, short of rooting, is there any way for me to figure out my battery issues and what's keeping it awake?
Ha! I'll answer my own question. It turns out that you can do this with GSam Battery monitor and a few ADB commands. I updated the app to the latest and went through the settings and it had a little tutorial built in. It took me just a couple of minutes and now I can view wakelocks, both app and kernel, in the app.
If only I could do this with wakelock detector. Still, I'm happy with GSam Battery Monitor.
I'm assuming that I'll have to redo this after every reboot, but that's cool

did you calibrate your battery since your last update? is that when issue began ?im not on stock, but ive had major battery issues in the past. the issue was caused from flash . the solution ended up being charging phone to full then calibrating battery via an app i used root essentials but not applicable in your case
Can someone please help? I bought the phone 2-3 days ago and yesterday was my first full charge to 100% but i noticed when i play a game, and one match of 3 minutes already reduces 1% battery drain everytime, I bought the phone for its praise for battery life (Lenovo P2) and yet i noticed battery is keeps draining, i even turned off bluetooth/locationse/etc/ and restricted ALL apps except for whatsapp, and the apps im running are: Poweramp Pro - Nova launcher prime and facebook/skype etc but rarely use those two., Is there someting wrong with my phone? install wakelock detector and GSam Battery Monitor and post results from those, maybe we have the same problem (mine is SIM card draining battery)

How do you know that yours was a sim card battery draining issue maybe mines the same? and when i installd gsam it got stuck on "calculating..." and wouldn't show any result even after 2+ hours...
It calculates since last full charge so you need to charge it fully and then leave for some time. If you you want information on which processes use most of battery you need to give it permission for BATTERY_STATS (tutorial is in the application itself, pretty straightforward). Wakelock detector give similar information, it tells you which processes and apps wake your phone the most (set it to show also system processes). Anyway, I returned my phone and went back to Samsung, no more chinese crap for me.
Hello,
for the past 2-3 months or so the battery life on my OP3 is just awful. It loses about 4%/hour doing nothing and I just can't find the cause of it.
In short here are the details:
OnePlus 3 with LineageOS 15.1 and latest Firmware
No Gapps (so no wakelock there)!
Minimal amount of apps installed, System is unmodded except for:
I tested stock kernel and Boeffla kernel.
Tried Greenify
The thing is I looked everywhere but even BetterBatteryStats doesn't give me any indication of where the problem is.
The only thing that seems strange the me is
a) The android settings tell me that signal is the problem but that's obviously wrong as none of the other apps show any kind of issue with it and uninstalling Signal doesn't help.
b) GSam shows high usage by "Android System" and "Kernel" however this doesn't help me narrow down the problem.
Can some take a look at the screenshots from BBS and GSam and help me out with this problem?

I had the same issue once and I narrowed it down to battery degradation.
I checked the actual capacity left with an app (accubattery) and it told me that the actual capacity left was around 2000mAh which is 30% degradation.
So I got my battery swapped out, it cost me 1300 rupees, but after that my battery drain was fixed. Maybe you should try the app too:laugh:

Screenshots will not help. Visit the BBS thread, learn how to take an idle dump and post the dump in that thread for help.
My suspicion is regarding your mobile signal. So after taking a BBS dump, take screenshots of the battery details page in the phone's Settings and post them also.
