SM-N975U1 Change to EU Help - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hi everyone.
I have bought from eBay(Israel) an Sm-N975u1.
On first boot languages was limited and no Greek on it. So I choose it later at setting. But settings menu remains on English whatever I've tried to switch it to Greek. Do you know any firmware compatible to my N975u1 has Greek from the start?

Hi,
My phone was bought in Israel (not ebay) and I think it has greek language interface. Try the following steps:
1. Open Settings and search for Language and Input settings
2. Press first option Language
3. Press Add language
4. Scroll down to greek
See attached pics. Hope this helps. If it is a US model, then you'll probably won't find greek language interface in list.

I have done this. It has Greek Language interface b, but it's half translated. All settings menu is in English. Maybe I will try some locale software to check what is done

the EU software won't work with a US phone unfortunately, the phones are as different as you can get on the same phone as they on entirely different chips, so the software for Europe will all be for the Exynos phones and the US phone is a Snapdragon and their software is keyed to that, so unless you can find a region with Snapdragon and speaks Greek you are unlikely to find any hardware that will work for you.
it's the unfortunate fact of a device that is considerably different across different regions, so you would likely need a custom firmware with Greek added but I'm not sure that is even possible as the Snapdragon phones are more locked down.

Maybe N975w firmware contains Greek Language Completely?

probably not as it's Canadian. really on a phone from the Americas best you can likely hope on Euro languages is French, Spanish and Portuguese as those languages are quite common over there. but unfortunately I can't think of a country outside Greece that uses Greek as a main language.

Maybe the XAA firmware will have Greek language better integrated.

Solution: How do I change language for IPAQ 110?

Hi all,
New to the forum. Can anyone suggest how to change the language on an IPAQ 110 Classic to english? I have the french model.
Thanks.
Maybe with this solution here
Of course you have to change the speeches/files... ;-)
I try it tomorrow when i get my device...
Good luck. Maybe you inform me about your success?!
Greetings - Thomas
Solution found
OK. I got it. This is a re-post of what I found on another thread. Thanks. By the way!!

I renamed the folders to English and French, in my case, so that I wouldn't get confused.
Running the HPRUU Utility
Run the HPRUU utility of your device's language, the program should tell you that the SKU is correct for the language ROM you're updating. Don't hit continue yet.
Copying the HPImage.nbf In Place.
You're going to copy the HPImage.nbf file of your language to the folder of the program you're running after you hit continue. Don't worry. You have about 5 seconds to do so but have the copy dialog box in place so that you're ready. I had my Yes button close by. (See example below)

OK. Go ahead. Click the continue button and click Yes to copy the file. The update will continue with no warnings.
The device will perform a "CLEAN BOOT" in green letters and... your device will be ready to go in your language.
Any future ROM updates will still need to be run using the "native" language of the device. I tried it out.
change language ipaq 114 FR to NL or EN
didnt' work for me (ipaq 114)...no problems to do all of the things described in the post but after reboot same language (fr). Is there an other way to force the ROM image uploading? Or any other tool to change the rom image on the ipaq? HELP
regards and thx Georges
Did the same and now it is ok... I suppose I did something wrong!
thx a lot
I followed the instructions above......and with a little help from Google Translate, I was able to convert my Ipaq 110 from French to English.
The vendor, CDW Canada, did not distinguish between the French and English versions on their website or the confirmation email, so the customer service rep said I could send it back. He said on many occasions that CDW would send me an RMA number and return shipping label, but after 2 months of waiting, I gave up. I won't be dealing with CDW anymore.
Just followed the instuction from littlemonkey and it worked like a charm!
it was more easy than expected, changed my american ipaq 111 to an italian ipaq 110 !
wow! thanks again for the great information posted above!!!
Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:d:d:d:d

New N920A Full MM Odin package *N920AUCS3BPH4*

I know it is to late.....Espacially the latest OTA N920AUCU3CPHA has been released...
But people outside US can flash this firmwork and use OTA package to keep ATT Note5 at latest model...
Mega: https://mega.nz/#!oFIRXJ6J!A9iUa8eyHEvwPrD531ECmjLobeC_d7YOVaRTChN0gNE
PS: As you all know,Chinese offical limits my network to connecting XDA, so I coundn't answer your question immediately. What more, all of my full odin packages are downloaded at http://romup.com/ ,but it is not for free. Everybody can search ROMs by phone model in the searching box(with VPN to China).
The method can consult http://forum.xda-developers.com/att.../n920a-mm-odin-package-n920aucu2bpe6-t3415938 , Odin up on 3.12.4. And this firmwork don't Contain Pit files. Just flash first four files and waiting five minutes...

Hi, can i update from an unlocked AT&T N920AUCU2APB2 directly to this using Odin? Will that cause any issues?
hey guys, not trying to hijack the thread but i have a USCellular Note 5 which is unlocked and everything works but MMS and 4G is flakey, usually bouncing between 4G and H and H+ (on the signal)
i dont feel data speeds suffer but speed tests show it so fear signal reception could be different that an AT&T note 5.
anyways, does anyone know if it is possible to odin flash this rom into my USCellular phone and make it run properly on AT&T.
the NOTE 5 is of course unlocked and when looked at the specs is only missing 2 cellular bands and has more bands in 3G than the AT&T variant.
anyone have a clue, i would not like to brick this phone beyond repair but am willing to flash it with an AT&T rom if that will fix it.
the APN's area ll correct, but i did install KIK messaging and when setting MMS to manual APN it immediately came up with a uscellular APN which really makes me believe somewhere in the phone its still holding a USCellular APN and not using the AT&T one even though it is set in the Network settings of the phone.

date problem (there is nothing "/" or ".") :(

Hello everyone. i got a problem with date. as you see that my attachment pic, the date on home screen is next to next. so i mean before there was a "/" symbol but there is nothing now can you help me what should i do to fix this. Try to change the language which has different date format on your phone(to US english for example) and sync the band - keep trying until you see MM/DD. Then change it back to your previous language and sync again.
At the worst case - use some 3rd party watch face, they have hard coded date format. There is a plenty to choose from, even almost identical to the stock one

It sounds like a bug in Mi Band FW. The most simple solution would be using a 3rd party watch face as it ignores the phone/band language and uses hard coded format instead.

I see. there is no problem in other themes like watchface or something. Is there any stock settings or stok theme I can install for this situation?

Try this theme, it even has Turkish week days [emoji846] https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/mi-band-4/view/4787
You can install it with Notify & Fitness app (you can then uninstall N&F or keep it along Mi Fit).

Good to know I am not alone. Got this phone some little while ago and I have been trying to see if I can flash any other firmware apart from this one here. I see the service provider of mine is KTC and I am unable to choose only 3g network. The options on this one is just 5G/lte and lte. More so I am unable to download updates using mobile data. I can't equally send more 160 words sms, it will turn automatically to mms at 161 words. I am a sort of drowning with this phone and I need help too. I equally get this annoying switching mobile data off and on crazy notification. Help pls.
I am attaching the screen shot of my firmware

To solve those issues you need to flash CSC KOO. But you will still have lots of stuff in Korean language. I would like to flash European firmware but apparently is not possible

Question What model should I choose?

Hello. I'm little confused by how much fold4 models available on market. This post gives a description of some of available models but I really don't know what version is more suitable for me. Is there any difference between all rootable versions like SM-F936B EUX, SM-F936N and SM-F936B(/DS)?
I want to buy a device without any disabled features or mobile carrier locking. I tried to google for differences between these models but haven't find something. Can you please tell me what is the deference between these models of the same phone?
Also, should I take device AP, CP and CSC into account while choosing device to buy? Could it affect available device features?
Thank you in advance.
I Don't know it eather (otherwise the thread you mentionted would be more clear).
https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_z_fold4-11737.php says:
SM-F936B, SM-F936B/DS, SM-F936U, SM-F936U1, SM-F936N, SM-F936W
You can download firmware for diffirent models on samfw.com
Search for SM-F936, choose one from the list and you can see from which country they are.
I think the biggest diffirence is from which region they are.
In this thread you can see that the F936N will lock the camera if unlocking the bootloader.

Different region models... U/U1 are generallry US models,
W seem to be Canadian, N is Korean(I think, sorry Covid brain and low oxygen while writing this) and then the B and B/DS models are global with the DS being the dual sim version...
Alll models are then fed other conditions of use by the CSC. Some countries allow recording of calls while others don't, this will be setup by the CSC.
In all honesty, the B model is probably the easiest to find ROMs for as they tend to use OXM ROMS and you can us another countries ROM instead of waiting for anything to come to yours, especially good for where I live in Australia as we don't tend to get things fast. If you don't like the ROM you are using its easy to change to another countries ROM.
The W, U/U1 and N ROMS are region specific and depending how Samsung decides to do updates have to wait until region specific versions of ROM's are available.
Hope this helps...
Sorry, forgot to add, region models CAN'T flash any other region ROMs... You can't flash a W rom on a B, N or U/U1 model and vice versa and any other way you might want to try.. Best case the ROM won't flash, worst case you end up with a brick (if you somehow force the flash)...
Just an update that the U/U1 and W versions are often the exact same phone with some bands disabled for the US/Canada regions. People have flashed U/U1 ROMs successfully on the W and I've just gone the other way around. Straightforward flash and works without issues so far. Will update if something comes up.
Do the dual sim models have actual hardware differences? Other than the sim tray itself? Like can I use a dual sim tray in a single sim phone if I flash different software onto it?
