I have recently purchased the Smart Flip Cover from Huawei hoping that I could use it to view notifications (i.e. missed calls, weather and messages). However, despite all my efforts, I could not manage to show anything but the time and date through the cover's window. Can anybody help? Has anybody experienced the same issue and maybe even resolved it?

So I recently got a sony SW2 at a firesale price, I've been trying a couple of notification apps - I was basically happy with Informer for my sms, whatsapp & email notifications but it was annoying that if I didn't notice my watch buzz at the time (eg I was riding along on my bike...) there was no visual indication that anything had happened as it dropped back to the clock face with no indication that notifications were waiting.
I've since been using the Augmented Smartwatch Pro trial, and it seems to do what I want - if I get a notification through it, instead of dropping the SW2 all the way back into it's official watchface, it runs in a low power mode showing it's custom watchface, and at the top I get a line with the latest notification (eg SMS from whoever). Once i've seen that I can then put the watch back fully to sleep with the power button (otherwise it seems like it might hammer the battery a bit more).
Unfortunately I'm not exactly wild about the Augmented Smartwatch Interface - it seems to want to do it's own thing which isn't very consistent with the smartwatch the rest of the time, and pretty ugly.
I'm just wondering if anyone is aware of/using any other apps that have similar features? All the ones I've seen seem to pop up notifications but then drop back to the sony watchface within a minute, which is less than ideal (I do a lot of bike riding and don't necessarily notice the watch vibrating when I'm riding, but will occasionally get the chance to glance at it!)

There are a Sony widget with a counter for reiceived (not read) notification. So if you put the widget on your face you can see if you have unread notification.

i wanted to find out if it is possible to disable notifications on the watch when you are using the phone/phone screen is on?
another question, is it possible to not show whatsapp profile pictures when we get notified on the watch?
last question, is there anyway to dismiss the notification from our watch? if I swipe left to dismiss on the watch, the phone does not get dismissed. presumably I do not wish to reply.

I think the first two isn't possible ,
about the third one : it supposed to dismiss the notification on phone when you dismiss on watch .
Hi all. I noticed the last few days that when im using the clear view cover it started to have AOD. Before I had to press the on/off button with the case closed if i wanted to see any info through the case. Now it always shows the clock but its a bit darker then the clock shown when the you press the on/off button. It also doesnt show notifications in AOD when the case is closed whereas when i oress the button it shows all notifications.
So im wondering is this some update to the case or somwthing is not working as designed, tho i dont mind.
Anoyone had similiar things happen or knows some more information about this?
I just found an answer to this. There is a new option under the always on display that allows it to be used with the clear view cover which is great news because i know a lot of people wwee complaining about the lack of this feature.
I've installed the update and configured the new AOD settings, but I’m having some problems getting the 6/1/2017 [Samsung] Always On Display (v2.6.77.4) update to work properly on my S8+ with my Clear View case.
I have the new option in the AOD settings and have set the “Show Always” toggle to “on.” I have tried setting the “Clear View Cover” toggle to both “on” and “off,” yet whenever the cover is closed the AOD display remains off (shows the default clock).
To be clear, when the cover is open the AOD clock display always shows per the settings. I really would like to see my personalized AOD clock display through the cover when the cover is closed.
What might I be missing?

Have had this phone since December and love it. Only have one issue - notifications.
Having followed the advice given in previous threads I have not had any problems receiving notifications (Gmail, messaging, WhatsApp). And now I have EMU 9.1. they even show as icons on my 'always on' lock screen (when the phone is out of its case). But I use a smart cover/case and although I still receive a sound notification the phone does not show any lock screen notification icon in the smart case window.
Can't find any relevant setting to address this so maybe its just something that I will have to live with but is this something that other AL00 users experience?
Has anyone found a way to keep notifications shown on the 'View' display for this case. Currently when closing the case, notifications and the clock are shown for a few seconds and then only the clock stays on indefinitly. Seems a bit of a let down for a £50 case.
