Hi, I updated to RealmeUI on my X2. I am on Europe (RMX1993EX_11_C.02). Now when I shoot a video using the camera app, the video has no audio. I made sure my phone is not silent, and media volume is turned up. I tried to shoot video with other apps, e.g. like in Instagram stories or Snapchat, but still same issue. I checked my microphone with the recorder app, it's totally fine. I don't have issues with audio playback as well.
What would be the solution for this?

Last night I was video taping my son. But when I played the video back (on phone or PC ), there's no audio. It doesn't seem to be one of those "codec not installed" issues because even the phone itself can't play any sound and I was able to record/play audio before. In fact after I reboot the phone I was able to record the audio. So here are my questions:
1. Is there a setting in gnex that allows recording video without audio? Is it possible I toggled that setting but wasn't aware of it?
2. Is there a way to show the audio input volume while recording? At least I know there's no audio input so that I can do something about it.
I was pretty frustrated to find out the whole clip was muted. Now every time I record something I am worried the audio may be lost.
Thank you.
Were u using some other media at the same time? Like listening to music? Something running on your phone must have conflicted with it
Hello!
Alright so here's the deal. When I go to record videos on apps such as keek or vine or even now instagram - the videos all have such low audio it's like there is no audio unless I like yell in the video. Now when recording with the standard camera app everything is just fine - no audio problems. The volume is the same both times - at it's highest but I just can't seem to figure out what kind of problem this is. My mic is fine in phone calls etc etc - but any apps from google play = terrible audio! So... tell me people - what shall I do?

i have the same problem. Couldn't find the fix
I've had the N7 (stock) for about a month. I guess I never recorded a video because I just noticed lots of static when recording. In both Vine and the stock video camera, front and rear cameras, the audio from those vids is filled with static, although you can still hear everything else. I tried a video Hangout and there was no static.
Am I alone in this? Any fixes?
Hi,
I have very annoying issue in my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
I'm running LiquidSmooth 3.1 (4.4.4 KitKat) ROM.
Cutting to the chase, when I'm recording video (through stock app or google camera from Play store) my phone records right channel audio very well (bottom microphone). Unfortunately audio recorded by top mic (left channel; camcorder mic) is very looooow on volume.
Example: I record a video, then I upload it on my computer, starts playing it - I can hear audio in right speaker, left one seems totally quiet. When turning volume up to the max, I can hear audio in left speaker but it's still very quiet.
I thought it's just video recording problem, but I tested it with Easy Voice Recorder Pro - when recording mono, everything is fine. When recording stereo - same issue as while recording videos.
Does anybody encountered same issue? Is it software issue, maybe whole ROM related? Or is it hardware issue?
Thanks

Well, not especially rom related, but all AOSP, CM etc. seem to have those sound issues atm. If it is important for you, consider a TW rom.

Okay, thanks for answer.
Is it happening to everyone or just some unlucky people?

It is very common issue for all users, as I said: atm=at the moment. Even phone calls can suffer from mic troubles.
One important thing: It might be solved already lately or in the next hours or days. Read in the threads
Just recently I have experienced a strange issue that whenever I record the video, afterward, I get no audio when I play it back.
The mic works flawlessly when I make or receive a call no there's no issue with the mic.
Here's what I've tried so far:
1. Flashing Stock ROM and the LineageOS 14.1 .
2. Changing many camera apps on playstore to record the video.
I have never used a Bluetooth headset with my phone so that also eliminates the possibility.
Can anyone figure this issue out as I am kinda confused whats wrong with this device...
Thanks!
