Hi y'all how you guys doing in these times it's sure interesting... I hope all I'd safe and cozy.
My question is is there a way to unlock the huawei nova 3 "PAR-LX1M" bootloader I have searched and it seems like I cannot find a way?... I have even contacted one of the paid services was listed here called ministry of Solutions and they told me that it's not available and it's impossible to unlock because of the new security measures ? so is this true and there is no way to actually do this and root my device.
Thank you and stay safe.
You cannot on a lot of modern devices unfortunately. FunkyHuawei charges a lot to unlock the device, I don't know if they're legit. Either way, there's no TWRP for this device. So there's not a way to root the device as far as I know.
Just buy a Xiaomi, they let you officially unlock the devices and their phone's are just better for the price.

I'm curious how FunkeyHuawei can do this? did they find a way to generate the codes needed to unlock the bootloader based on the IMEI ?
Below they claim on Twitter that their methods now work for Mate 20, I'm also curious if all of this official BL unlock ban and unofficial unlock method are killing the ROM development? It seems so based on the limited amount of ROMs available for the Mate 10.
I'm only asking for some info here, not trying to prove points or sway opinions, I loved my nexus 6P

I think you need to pay for that - which means Rip Huawei for us. There is no way to pay for something like bootloader unlock... it's not Apple with broken MIUI

I disagree. We had the same thing with HTC and getting s-off. And people - including me - payed for it, cause it was worth it. I'm not sure, though whether it's worth 55 bucks
Yeah but you and the other which pay for that are the 1%. HTC is almost dead...
here is the price
lets just say i wont pay that for a unlocked bootloader
Is it money back guarantee?
Meh, pay $41 more to get the unlock code. I wonder if this service belongs to Huawei as well.
I know the situation with Huawei and bootloader unlocking has been back and forth a little bit... with my searching, I'm not 100% sure where the situation stands.
I've been looking for a giant screen device with minimal bezels, one that works on AT&T (for the most part anyways), and the rest of the specs are nice too, so this phone seems almost perfect.
Except I absolutely require the ability to root.
Does anyone know if the Huawei Mate 20 X will be able to unlock the bootloader? Any announcement or news related to it?
I heard the unlock section in the developer options is greyed out in the UK variants.

Can you tell me im detail how that works. Why is it closed. Im new to Huawei and very interested in mate 20 X, but needed working twrp and root. Does one need to pay to rooted phone.

FunkyHuawei can get the bootloader unlock codes. We just need to figure out why the option is grey'd out.
Once we can enable that, BL can be unlocked.
Hi everyone, someone knows how to root honor9x, it seems to me first I need to unlock the bootloader, thanks ( I translated this)

I just purchased this cellphone. There is no current way to unlock it's bootloader. So your correct that means no custom recovery no root access an no custom ROMs are possible.
I guess you can thank Donald Trump for that. Last year he decided that the only country allowed to use cellphones to gather consumer data was America.
Long story short after Huawei could not run a multi billion dollar business 90 days at a time which was the only way he allowed Huawei to use Google an Android: Huawei went with it's own propriatory operating system an dumped it's relationship with America Google an Android.
As a result this cellphone being after these events this cellphone is completely locked in every way.
You can install google play services (with some difficulty ) an you can install things like themes an apks.
But that's all for now unless Trump realises that America lost billions of dollars in business when it forced Huawei to walk.
Can you really see Trump the utter narcissist going to Huawei an apologising an removing 90 day business operations permissions from them?
I don't think so lol

I understand what your saying. But my friend these cellphones are awesome stock. In my country New Zealand you can buy them with google play services preinstalled. Ram an battery management is superb. Its the perfect reliable cellphone for work.
Only thing annoying about it is a weakness in many Chinese cellphones. And that is what I call the 'micro status bar'.
Us older folks like large status bars.
If you want to play with roms kernels root etc then its not for you.
If you want the perfect relaible workphone then please buy it.
If you want a bit more power an performance the get the pro version. About 40% more powerful chip.
But yes not for tinkerers as they will get no fun with a locked bootloader.
Wow I didn't know root ended back then in 2018. Thanks for the info ?

Here in India, you can get the 9X Pro for around 10$-15$ more for the 6+256gb variant but the pro doesn't come with google apps whereas the regular 9X comes with it.People who have used 9X Pro had a terrible user experience as some apps like swiggy (app like ubereats) and Uber don't work as they need google play services plus a locked bootloader is like icing on the cake.
Huawei back then in 2018 used to provide developers their phone so that they can develop custom roms ad mods. Then i don't know why they did a full 180 on the community. They also sponsered XDA developers

It has to be because of Trump. I very much hope he is voted out in 2020 by americans before he starts a war. He has attacked Huawei or been part of 3 attacks on them in the last 2 years that I know of. Accuses them of all kinds of crazy things.
I am feeling the loss of privilages developers used to have with Huawei like the ones you mentioned.
We can only wish for a brighter future my friend.
Thanks for the clarification of the 9x an 9x pro.
Why should a cellphone company cooperate with developers in a country with a leader bent on destroying them?
Or it could be by demand of the Chinese government?
Time will tell I guess?

Huawei is not stupid. They saw the writing on the wall. They knew that Trump was shutting them out. While I disagree with their decision. It is understandable considering Trump's actions. I have owned a mate 9 for three years. Never felt the need to root it. At least while the themes app was still working.
Unfourtanley, even that is dead now. Yes, I understand that XDA is all about OWNING your phone. When I look at the specs of this phone and the price. God, I wish we still had Honor as competition to other brands here in the US. Other brands with similar specs start at 500 or more...Sorry, Bit I miss the competitive pricing they once brought to the market.
True that, but those expensive Samsungs have been locked down for years, and so-called "Flagship killers" like Oneplus , have become Flag ships themselves, i was the list for one of the first One plus fones it was awesone, but theyve gotten like the rest of em , $600+. , i dont really need to unlock this phone, anymore than i need to unlock my $80,000 Raptor or my $35000 Harley, it works and it keeps working, good enough
Anyone,
please help me unlock bootloader on huawei matepad pro 10.8.
Huawei stopped providing bootloader unlock codes in 2018. Some (probably) leaked codes were sold by third parties until early 2019, but those have been stopped. There is no known method to defeat bootloader locking without the manufacturer provided unlock code, so Huawei have effectively shut down custom ROM development. What a sad waste of great hardware engineering.

totally agree with you, the hardware is so good, and if only they let the devs to use it, they would have a community like xiaomi.eu carrying their tab and phones for free, doing better than would do google himself.
But they choose to lock, and nobody care about these very good tab.

Fake. Actually there is no known way, how to unlock bootloader, make downgrade, etc... I read something about big data leak from one devs site and Huawei bootloader codes was in leaked data, so I hope somebody find a way.
That stinks its fake but least on the other hand my samsung galaxy tab s7+ is a beast! and allows bootloader unlock and custom os
Hi guys. I came across this website that says its possible to unlock the bootloader of huawei phones. Is this possiblefor the mate 20 x?
https://pcwindowsdownload.com/windows/unlock-bootloader-of-huawei-phones-free.html
No because the site is down, and it looks like a scam anyway. I would not trust that scam site.

Appreciate that. One question.. do you know if phone manufacturers in the past unlocked their bootloaders at some point when their phones became irrelevant? It would be cool if huawei would unlock it knowing that the phone is 4 years old. What do you think? Have phone companies done this before?

Huawei will not unlock it. What we have to do is first downgrade the OS to Android 9, which I am trying to do the Kirin 980 chip requires Android 9 to unlock the bootloader, because Huawei removed the option in Android 10+. After that, we have to use a third party to unlock the bootloader.

Yes I understand that. But that was not my question. I had asked if phone manufactures have in the past unlocked their phones.
