Having a hard time finding which 1 app I have set for quick launch (maybe accidentally). Can't think of an obvious way besides opening up every single app I have installed and see if there is a lock icon. Really weird that you can 'clear all' an app locked in memory.
rebooting the phone also doesn't clear the 'quick launch' app from that status.

Hold the Power button for a few seconds and "side key settings" will appear at the bottom of the screen... if that's what you mean...

not telling me anything useful . No items appear even the 'quick launch' apps that I know of.

Guys
My titanium backup pretty much gets stuck on different apps every week. This time, it's hung up at 73% on shopsavvy 5.0.5, an app which I barely use and was definitely not open.I could start removing apps but it hangs on a different app each week
Anybody else seen these problems?
Thx

I have. Not sure why but it will just randomly get stuck on an app until I force close it.
How do you force close it?

On some ROMs you can go into Developer Options and enable long press back to force close which is the easiest way. Or just go into your phone's Settings --> Apps then find Titanium and select force close. Or if using the stock launcher just drag it from your app drawer to your home screen where it says App Info.
It looks like they may have fixed it.

NFC quick toggle is by default not on your drop down notification panel. So to put it the or modify the list given to you by Samsung, you can do the following:
Settings>Display>Notification Panel.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You can only place 10 on the panel, so you tap-hold-drag-and-drop into the active buttons area you will likely replace something else, so chose wisely those that you want.
Now the question. If you put the NFC shortcut button on the panel. Can you toggle it on/off or does your UI freezes like mines?
mine freezes and says "System UI has stopped", then I'll wait for the status bar to regenerate and I'll try the button again and it worked the 2nd time.

I don't use NFC much so it doesn't bother me but when the logo disappears, that is when the problem starts(NFC off). I just hold the shortcut down which takes me to the NFC settings, turn NFC on then go back home & click on the shortcut in my "Quick toggles." It freezes my phone for a but, then "System UI Stopped Responding" come us and it starts back up again. I realize this is not a long term solution but without rooting and getting a custom rom or waiting for the 4.3 update I don't see any other option. This only started happening recently, or i have only noticed a quite a few months after the 4.1.2 update
Sorry
Basically if you are getting the "unfortunately system UI has stopped" message, what you want to do is go to your applications manager, go down to system UI, press it, and then press force stop. Then it should go back to normal... it worked for me
Hello friends, I have DN3 5.2 rom on N7100 and this notification of birthday of my friends is killing me. It does not show every day, but sometimes, and i just can not turn it off. I unchecked options for birthday in callendar, even greenify this app which is called "homescreenfestivaleffect", and it is no good. I can force close it but after some time it shows again. Eventually I uninstalled app, and no effect. This app came with rom so i suggest that somebody must have same problem. Thx

Long hold will give you a menu with app info. That will give you the exact application. That one can be removed or maybe these notifications can be removed.
Maybe you can revoke the right to notifications to that app, effectively removing all notifications for that app.
You can't long hold on this, nothing happens

Ok, you can try to find the correct app by long-pressing on a notification, or going into Settings > Apps and then selecting the app for which you want to disable notifications. Tap on the check mark box next to Show Notifications and accept the warning. Going forward, you'll no longer receive notifications for that specific app.
Google Play Services battery drain fix
Original thread
Thanks to @timmaaa, only the second step work (the one quoted in this thread) for our Galaxy Young. After testing this method, the battery drain problem was fixed and noticed that the Play Store is faster ! You have only to follow the instructions.
Please note: everything below this point requires root! This will not affect the running of your device!
Next you need to download Android Tuner. Open it and pull out the side menu, scroll down to the Apps Manager section and select Application Startups. Open the box at the top and change it to All, click the button in the bottom-right until it says System, scroll to Google Play Services and select it, a huge list will open, scroll to very near the bottom and find the Wakeup option, uncheck the box.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Go back to the main menu of Android Tuner and pull out the side menu on the left, scroll down to the Apps Manager section and select Application Manager. Click the right box at the bottom until it says System, scroll to find Google Play Services and long press it, a menu will pop up, select Permissions. This should bring you to the Perms tab, swipe across to the Services tab. In this list you want to uncheck anything that starts with Ads or Analytics, you also want to uncheck anything that starts with com.Google.android.location.reporting as well.

I have sen this before, on other device. It was a setting in deveolper options call "draw-over" but i do not see it on this device. I will look for it and update you when i find it.
in the mean-time, think about what apps you have that are allowed to show notifications, change theme, keyboard apps, other modifications away from stock.
edit (2 minutes later)
look here ==> https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75863435&postcount=4
settings > apps and notification > apps > setting icon (lower left, gear) > special access > draw over othe apps > top right 3 dots menu (show system process) >
that list has the likely app causing the trouble on it.
I had the same thing. It was because of Dimly, an app that can make your brightness go REALLY dim. Something similar to this that changes the display in some way will be the cause. Do as @mrmazak says.
