Bluetooth keeps crashing - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Hi. I'm running Lineage OS on a Samsung S5 running Android 8.1. Bluetooth keeps crashing me on quite often. It works perfectly when it is running though. I have cleared out the caches in the bootloader. That made no difference. The rest of Android works perfectly.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Android 8.1 is lineageOS 15.1 that's no supported version.

Ok, thanks. That does mean I have to rebuild everything on my phone if I upgrade, which is a major pain.

Lineage 15.1 is just an older version, it doesn't mean that it doesn't work. Anyways my phone is a 900V (Verizon) phone and I am using Page Plus as a service provider. I put the latest version of the KLTE Lineage OS on my S5 and it works fine on the first boot. When you reboot it, it can no longer get cell service. I think it says Sim Status Not Connected or something like that. No matter what I try, I cannot get cell service.
In order to get the cell service working again, I have to use Odin to flash "COMBINATION_VZW_FA44_G900VVRU2APA1_VZW2APA1_257265 6_REV00_user_mid_noship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 "
Then I have run through the steps to unlock the bootloader again. (CID15) Then I had to install my Android 8.1
version that I was running before. (major pain to do all this) So I'm back to square one.
How can I get the cell service to work on my Verizon S5 in the newer version of LineageOS?
Thanks!

Hi,
I have the original rom 6.0.1 but it is unlocked with TWRP..., notification appeared to update to Nougat and the system restarted and went to TWRP.
Can I install over the current rom the file I just download via TWRP? (https://android.googleapis.com/packa...3e21e543c0.zip)
Thanks

AFAIK, you could NOT do it with custom recovery. It will brick your device.

This update has been really bad on all of my Robins. I've taken them all back to the last 6 build.
My issues experienced on four different robins:
Would not connect to LTE.
Random reboots.
Freezing and then reboots.
Phones would get extremely hot.

If this is true then I will not do the update (Nougat) until I check more reports about the same or the opposite.
I'll wait...!
I've been running the Nougat beta without issues for the last couple months. Now I'm on official 7.1.1 Beta and it's quite nice. No random reboots, no issue with LTE on T-mobile. Heat and the Snapdragon 808 basically go hand in hand though lol. I'm running Ghostpepper Interactive CPU profile and everything is even smoothier than stock lol.

I've only had my Robin for a few weeks, but I've definitely noticed 7.0 being buggy (at least in comparison to my previous Nexus 6P...) Glad to read about a beta for the Robin though. I may take a look at that before resorting to flashing a ROM like Lineage.

Beta builds are also buggy and laggy.
Lineage builds are buggy as hell and no longer maintained until the bugs are fixed.
I can recommend Omni.

Today I have received an update from Nextbit from Anroid 7.0 to Android 7.1.1 (I am not on beta channels or custom roms). Size was 540-560 MB. I did not notice change logs as I was excited to see the update suddenly. Android Security patch: April 2017

You are very welcome.
Just another update, the newest Lineage OS updates may cause Google Services to crash on your OP3.
If they do, go to opengapps.org, tick off ARM64, Android 7.1 and MINI and flash the updated GAPPS file to your OP3.
After it boots up you'll have the latest Google Mobile services software that the Play Store does not update.

Installing Lineage OS 14 from Android Oreo

Hi all!
Maybe it's a silly question or it has been answered somewhere else.
I upgraded my phone to Android 8.0 and I'm experiencing the same issues a lot of other users mentioned (zero RAM available, random app reboots, 10 seconds to open an app, and random reboots).
I was thinking to install Lineage OS but I don't know if it's possible, considering that it's based on Android Nougat and with Oreo I guess the radio, bootloader and other stuff have been upgraded too.
Is it safe to do? Can I downgrade it to Nougat or Lineage?
Thanks a lot!
Nico
I tried it a few days ago... Didn't work
First I had to install stock Nougat then install LOS

None... Just download the Stock ROM from here: https://developers.google.com/android/ota
and install using the instructions provided
then install the LOS :good:
I think the factory image would be more appropriate. Full, clean flash.
Btw, if you're experiencing issues with 8.0.0, just perform a clean install of the Oreo factory image(or at the very least a factory reset after the update).

Xposed on Nexus 5 and LineageOS 15?

So i recently re-installed Lineage OS on my old nexus 5 and i was wondering, how can i install Xposed on to it, with framework and app and all that? With the search results online i am not getting really far, i don't quite know what version to install , how to do it etc....
Note: i need Xposed specifically to install multiple custom watchfaces on a huawei watch GT2.
I tried installing a version, but it just reseted my phone, and when i check the Rooted sate of the phone i get "not rooted" or something like that.
I installed LineageOS via TWRP on the phone.
Can you guys help me out here? i did not root or install custom FW on a phone in a loong time and i am out of the loop of recent hacks and stuff.
Thanks in advance

What do you mean by difficult? Can you be more specific. We are using the same device with the same Android version but I doesn't have any problem with difficulty in opening applications. Can you elaborate more about your problem?

What I mean is that the phone runs smoothly for a few hours and then becomes heavy and loses flexibility and speed in performance. To solve this problem, I have to do a restart for the phone and then return again to the problem

Do you use gestures? I noticed that when I'm using the 3 button gesture, apps launched with a black screen and shortly after it loaded completely. This happen between two apps that I've been switching around and the black screen before the apps loaded happened frequently. After I used the new gesture navigation, the black screen rarely happened and the app always resume instantly. Maybe the 3 button gestures got some bug.
The newest update for the Mi A2 Lite is known to be unstable and heavy since there seems to be major mistakes that were included in that update. I recommend you to flash a custom ROM while you're at it, since that's the only way to move on from here.
To elaborate further on that: Install Something like an older version of LineageOS that is compatible with your Mi A2 Lite (LineageOS 17.1, Android Pie) or other ROMs that might even include GApps by default.

It doesnt do much, since the faulty code from the Android One ROM remains. A custom ROM or a downgraded version of Android One for the Mi A2 Lite (daisy) would be required for this to not happen anymore.

Well, it seems for me that LineageOS with Android 11 works just fine for me.
Custom rom means bootloader unkocked. If you use banking apps this may be a problem, fingerprint issues, push notifications etc. I switched to 8.1 and everything is fine....
