SM-A505X LDU OEM unlock? - Samsung Galaxy A50 Guides, News, & Discussion

I've been trying to figure out how to unlock bootloader on a A50 Live Demo Unit, but haven't been able to get the 'OEM unlock' switch to show on developer menu. Has anyone else succeeded? Android build on the device is A505XDDU1ASB8.

It was on by default.

Howdy, if you still need guide here it is:
1.Download the official firmware ( you can select any region ) and flash it ( if you do not want to change the bootloader version do not flash the BL file );
2. Do the steps to get oem unlock like on normal a505f.
that is all

Nubia z11 Bootloader locked?

Hi,
is anybody here able to confirm whether the bootloader of the nubia z11 is locked or unlocked or at least unlockable?
I saw an ROM with a custom kernel so I assume it is unlockable?
Greetings and thanks
Hi
My phone arrived with the bootloader blocked, this can be seen running:
(reboot in bootloader mode, install android adb drivers then
fastboot oem device-info
DEVICE-UNLOCKED: false
To unlock my bootloader update to the Chinese ROM STOCK that has Android 7.1.1, enable the debugging options and in the same options appears PERMIT OEM UNLOCK, after enabling this option I was able to unlock the bootloader using:
Fastboot oem unlock
Now my bootloader is unlocked, since Android 6 I did not find a method
can you give me the link to the cinese rom? i'm unable to find it...

hi ! my first post on xda ...
i own a nubia z11 nx531j, and read all infos here, but can't find answer to my problem :
my android version is 7.1.1 and i would to install custom rom (for sure a rom with no google services ...)
i know for sure that i have to flash twrp , but before this i have to unlock the bootloader, and this is MY PROBLEM
it is 3 hours i'm looking for answers but can't find anything good
indeed , the fastboot command "oem unlock" is not allowed, maybe due to my 7.1.1 version ? i'm not sure i ll be allowed to downgrade, risks of losing imei ?
please, help , and sorry for my poor english

U dont need to downgrade, adb fastboot works with Nubia Z11. Make sure you download latest zte driver for your windows/mac os, only after that you'll be able to unlock it.
thx for your reading
but .. i found how to unlock the bootloader ..
the key point is that when you click on "allow oem unlock", the toggle becomes green but don't stay green if you're going out and re-enter dev options !
you have to click on the line and not on the toggle itself, and then you have to enter your pin !
then go back to bootloader and i have to type "fastboot oem unlock-go "
and voila !

In my case allow oem unlock 'toggle' worked normally, it asked for the pin as soon as i tap it and it stayed green after re-enterring in dev option.

Update options not listed in config, and no OEM unlock listed in Dev Options

The title pretty much describe the whole issue: I get a persistent notification that there's an OTA update to install, but touching the notification does nothing.
There seem to be no way of manually installing it either, because there is no update option listed in the configuration.
Can't unlock the bootloader either, because there is no OEM unlock listed in the dev tools.
I've never seen anything like this. Spent days researching, but found nothing. So here I'm hoping someone might have a clue about how to enable updates and OEM unlock in a situation like this.
Any help is appreciated.
This phone is a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite model M1805D1SG, running Android 8.1 (OPM 1.171019.019.V9.6.6.0ODLMIFF)

for unlocking the bootloader you have to use ADB tools. you can't just unlock it in developer setting.
for your problem i would recommend you too check the forums on how to unlock the bootloader with adb and then grab the latest official A2 lite rom (10.0.40. or something i guess) and flash it with the MiFlashTool.
this procedure will upgrade your device without any loss of data.
I'm telling you this because that's how i update my device (which is rooted and kernel modified) with no problems.

True. We usually need to run 'fastboot oem unlock' to actually unlock the bootloader. Problem is, the command needs one to enable OEM unlocking in the developer options beforehand, otherwise it fails. And I dont have any means to enable OEM unlocking in the dev options, because it is not listed at all!
And without that I'm unable of doing any flashing.
The only report I found regarding a missing an OEM unlock option in the dev tools concern Samsung S9. Apparently one needs to wait 7 days for it to appear. But such a thing is unheard of concerning a Xiaomi phone.

Strange
I'm on 9.6.11.0 version and it's there. You're on 9.6.6.0 version. Maybe there's someone who had experience with 9.6.6.0 and OEM unlocking but if not there's always the option to do an OTA update to a newer firmware version.
Just don't update to a 10.x.x.x version (Pie) if you want to keep Oreo

It's illegal to XDA mods for me to post the link, but if you search techmesto bootloader unlock and downgrade for Nokia should get the info u need.
Try this
1. Turn off developer option
2. Choose cancel
3. Enable oem unlock
Enabled but greyed option.. try if bootloader is unlock..see attachement

unlock bootloader SM-J260A

Does anyone know how to root or unlock the bootloader of this phone? I can't find anywhere else on how to do it.
It seems to be pretty similar in all Samsung phones
- Go to settings
- Go to About Phone
- Go to Software information
- Tap Build number 7 times to activate developer options
- Return to settings
- Select developer options
- Activate OEM Unlock
And you should now have an unlocked bootloader

There are two possible reasons why OEM unlock is not on your phone
1) Either the bootloader is not unlockable for this phone (very common for U.S. phones)
or
2) You have RMM lock.
What is this?
You can read all about it here:

How to know if you are locked
There are 3 things at this chapter:
1. "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" message shows up and now you know for sure you got locked outside your phone
2. Missing OEM unlock toggle in developer settings, if your device has FRP
3. "RMM state = Prenormal" in download mode

Then most likely your bootloader will always be locked and no way of unlocking
Too bad

What was the "old" solution?
Try this:
Boot into system, skip through the setup, connect to WiFi. Go to system settings, enable developer options. OEM Unlocking will not be visible. Force an update check, then go back and check to see if OEM Unlocking became visible. If it has, KG/RMM state should be OK or COMPLETED, and you should be able to flash custom firmware.
