I got the update!!!!

Hey everyone, I got the update. It is updating now.
I'm from UK!!!!!

I can confirm the update from Italy: i'm flashing now (i've take some pictures from my HD2): few minuts and i can post the images).

Mines showing as available but as I am on a steam train connectivity is less than perfect so it will have to wait till I get home.

I really love how they released it in the begining of August instead of the end of the end of the last month.

[Q] Origin of my galaxy note 2

I purchased my phone from a electeonix shop as it was cheaper compare to the main retailers. What I would like to know is which country it originates from and is this important as I would like to update it to 4.1.2 as ota update is still n/a

Isn't important at all. Mine's from Saudi Arabia and I'm using it in New Zealand on a French 4.1.2 build.

Many thanks for the answer, So I take it its ok for me to install 4.1.2 official rom....
But i would still like to know where my phone originates from, is there a way ?

HI! I have exactly the same software as you do!
I bought it in a "brand" MOBITEL in SLOVENIA!
and still no OTA or Kies update!

Hi, if you want to know the csc code, open the dialer and enter *#1234#.
The csc code is the three letter code following the model number.
For example, mine says n7100dbtxxxxx. The csc here is "dbt", which stands for Germany (although I live in the Netherlands).
Then look up what region your csc stands for. You can Google that.

As far as i know your says dbt becouse you have single csc firmware.
Sometimes firmware is multicsc and you will not know csc using this code. For example if i enter *#1234# i get n7100OXXALJ4. OXX indicates multi csc, to find what csc is phone using you must run this app:

When u connect to kies u can see origin of phone. E.g. my phone origin is kenya (afr) i bought it from thailand and using it in Turkey. I can update it but only via kies. Ota update thing is not working for me checking update from phone says no update but when i connect it to kies starts to update, very funny

[Q] Firmware region update

Hey. This may be a bit of a weird question, but what if for example I'm using my phone in Lithuania with a local carrier, but i have a flashed firmware from Italy, so who provides my updates? I mean will I get my update depending when it arrives in Italy or Lithuania?

I think it's italy.
You said that you flashed Italian frimware that mean you have Italian kernel , so you will got Intalian update.

Yeah, I saw it.
However when writing above post I though that .324 could be somekind of update made only for Far East countries, as it was available about 2 weeks earlier for Dual SIMs from Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, that for Single SIM devices.

Yes they changed the number of bars....

Still 4 bars on India Exynos version on Sept update.
