Hello, good evening to everyone!
Someone can help me? I am looking for a easy mode to install a stock Global ROM on my Mi 9SE, because I am using a custom ROM.
I Tried use Mi flash tool, but when I will install it tell me to install some another drivers on my computer, however I have the device driver, ADB drivers already installed.
Someone can help me?
Thanks!
Sorry for my bad English...
@marcelo_jake19: and what happens if you allow MiFlash to install its drivers?
Download global stock image for your device, extract it in c:\miui
Make sure you have adb enabled in your phone.
Make sure your computer detects your phone in adb and fastboot.
Connect your phone in fastboot to your computer. I suggest using a laptop.
If you have Ryzen pc, you need a USB 2.0 hub.
After you extract and connect your phone, in the c:\miui folder, run flash_all.bat
This will flash stock rom on your device without locking bootloader.
Make a backup of your data. This will erase everything.
Make sure the phone is 100% charged.
This will take a very long time. Over 1 hour.

Please help me. I've accidentally deleted and wiped everything in my phone include rom and nand backup. Right now my phone only can boot into recovery and fastboot.
How do I transfer a zip rom into twrp?
My pc did not recognize my phone (in recovery and fastboot mode) although driver has been installed. I can't use ADB, GNex toolkit or what so ever tool. I have search in previous thread but with no solution.

You will have to get the correct drivers installed on your pc. Then you can either push a rom to the sdcard with adb or use a factory image and fastboot. Installing the driver correctly is your only option.

Get the fastboot drivers right and flash stock ROM..
Beamed from my Maguro
I have install the driver from toolkit. But I think its useless when my pc show no response (not detect) my phone when connected. BTW I've tried it in ubuntu and XP(installed in virtualbox).
Any other solution on how to make my pc detect the phone?
Perhaps you need to change the udev rules in Ubuntu?
SOLVED!
The culprit is micro usb cable. The cable that one I used are partially function. It can be use to charge but can't transfer data.
Change to another cable and follow the step as video tutorial below and my phone revive again. Thanks all.
Hi, I have a rooted Desire 816 currently running unofficial CM12. Before this, it will detect my phone, and thats how I root it and install custom recovery, but now, I tried to go back to stock but I couldn't get adb to work. It kept saying ADB error no device found.
Any help? I've already installed the HTC driver, same. Went to fastboot mode, on the phone it says fastboot USB but nothing happened.
In CM12 did you go into developer settings and enable adb?
yes i did. and it even showed up in the status bar. but still the same.

Then you don't have the proper drivers. You know adb and fastboot are different right? The rooting process doesn't involve adb, only fastboot. They're separate things and require separate programs to work.
Yes. But fastboot not working either. It's stuck at <waiting for device> and I can't lock the bootloader or flash the firmware.

Try to redownload fastboot, and uninstall then reinstall the HTC drivers. If that doesn't work your screwed.
Try this, its a program that tethers internet from your phone to your pc. It has all the drivers you can possibly need. I use it when I cant find the drivers to my phone online. Friends use this when adb devices dosnt show up with anything. Its worked for me 100% of the time. http://pdanet.co/ (just download the windows exe file and follow the directions. I believe you have to keep your phone plugged in during installation but I cant remember)

How about this. Put a nandroid of stock on your device. Plug it in the PC and create a folder called "clockworkmod" then inside there create one called "backup" now usually you have to move your nandroid to the root of your phone but if you use Philz Recovery, you can change the directory it searches for backups so it will be on your regular internal memory.
Drew recommended a flashing program for recoveries before. It was called Rashr.
Use that to flash Philz recovery.
Then just flash the nandroid and boot up.
Now remove root, flash a stock recovery, then relock your bootloader. Factory restore afterwards and your done.
Also, make sure if you factory restore that your nandroid backup never used titanium backup to remove any system apps as it might make your device act out with force closes. If you have done that either find a full stock with just root backup or use an RUU.
Done.

I have used one very seemed to pdanet and it has given me good result, is called AdbDriverInstaller and is so simple as the telephone connects to pc route usb, to open AdbDriverInstaller and to install the drivers
My computers don't recognize my Asus Zenfone 2 Ze551ml. I've installed the intel drivers, the asus drivers, the google android drivers. I've restarted, tried different USB ports, tried different computers, and tried different USB wires but to no avail.
I originally wanted to unroot so that I could apply OTA updates but I couldn't get into recovery, all the phone does is restart into bootloader again. All the solutions I read require me to use ADB or get into recovery and since I can't get into recovery or get any computer to recognize the phone I seem to be stuck.
I haven't updated the OTA since 2.18.40.12 version. Can anyone help me figure out how to update my phone or get my computer to recognize it?

Thanks for the reply Asus_USA,
Unfortunately, both the links you sent me don't work on my phone. For the first link (hardware reset/wipe cache partition) it asks me to go into fastboot mode, which I can do no problem, it then tells me to go into recovery mode. I can scroll down with my volume keys to the 'recovery mode' option but when I hit the power key to reboot the phone into recovery mode, it just reboots back into fastboot mode.
The second link (manual firmware update) asks me to download the update from the ASUS website, which I can do with no problem and then attach the phone to the computer and transfer the zip file to the root of my internal storage, I can't do this because the computer doesn't recognize my phone and therefore doesn't allow me to copy anything into it.
Let me know if you have any other ideas!
Thanks,

You can download the file directly to your phone from chrome by going to the download site on your phone. Also try setting your phone to PTP mode when it is plugged in and see if anything changes in device manager.
Or take out the sd card and copy to that, once back in phone you can then copy or move...

Tried it this way and then rebooted the phone. The phone recognized that there was an update file, and when I allowed it to install it rebooted into the Fastboot screen and then did nothing. I waited a half hour before touching the phone. When I rebooted the phone it didn't update and nothing had changed.

I tried downloading the file from online and the same thing happened as with the SD Card. When I restarted the phone it recognized that there was an update file and asked me if I wanted to install it. I clicked yes, it thought for about 30 seconds and then rebooted the phone into fastboot mode. Nothing happened after that and I had to choose the 'Reboot' option to start the phone back up; nothing had changed and the update did not work.
PTP mode doesn't seem to affect anything. My computer still doesn't recognize the phone.
I should also mention that the phone *does* charge when plugged into the computer.

Your PC won't recognize it, even in fastboot mode?
If it does you can flash a new recovery in fast boot by using the adb tools. To test attach phone in fastboot mode to pc and type in "fastboot devices".
If it detects the phone you will see your serial number come up. Then reflash the pre-rooted image. it might replace the screwed up files in your recovery.
Instead of the ADB drivers only though, use the flashtools found here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3301263&d=1431011927 Say thankyou to Shakalaka... I was having trouble using ADB, you might need to update to the latest drivers, but the flashboot tools worked with no problem...
You need to put the pre-root.img file in the folder and after connecting phone via usb hold shift, rightclick inside flashtools folder and select "open command window here" from drop down menu.
Then try the fastboot devices command.
Afterwards you can either flash the recovery again back to stock or flash the pre-rooted image and see if that fixes it.
You can find stock recovery, droidboot.img files and boot.img files here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/orig-development/rom-pre-root-img-t3079590
Again, BIG thanks to Shakalaka.

Sorry for such a delayed response, I haven't logged in and checked my messages in a while. This issue was fixed for me randomly. I kept plugging my phone into my computer and it eventually recognized it (after about 60 different tries). I quickly added adb, unlocked, rooted and have been having no issues since then. I appreciate your link! Hopefully it helps others in the future.

Hi everyone;
I'm on MIUI11 hybridOS now, and want to get back to the stock rom.
My bootloader is unlocked (by "fastboot oem unlock" command), the drivers are installed on my PC, I'm using mi flash tool 20191206 (i think it's the latest version), i copied mi flash on drive C, and there is no space in the directory of the rom, and i run mi flash as administrator;
but when i connect my phone (in the bootloader mode) to the computer, mi flash doesn't detect it and shows the error "Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: length"
Even i tried EDL mode, when in fastboot mode typed "fastboot oem edl", but after that the phone turns off and led light blinks and nothing happens and PC doesn't detect the phone, then i have to restart it by holding the power button.
Could anyone help me?
Thank you

The alternative way! (My solution )
Finally I found a way to flash my phone without Mi flash tool!
It's so simple,
You boot into fastboot mode and connect the phone to your PC, in the ROM folder (after extracting) there are some files in .bat format (flash_all.bat , flash_all_lock.bat , etc), you just need to double click the appropriate file to run and flash your phone! No need to Mi flash tool!
The Mi flash tool provides the drivers and then basically does what you have done (as I read Xaiomi geek)

Yea you're right, but despite i installed the drivers it gave me the error, so i installed the rom manually!
For fastboot oem edl , you need to have installed Qualcomm drivers, and if u are in miui is more safe edl mode, that is why mi flash don't flash the rom.

I want to try this and manually have found both the .bat files for Windows and .sh files of the same name for Android, but I need to know, from which location of them did you flash the phone: I have downloaded stock ROMs both on my phone SD card and on my PC, both in zip and unzipped. Even with developer mode unlocked, the update function from Settings sees only zipped versions on SD, but only tries to get file info and stops. Tapping on either bat or sh files in the phone's File Explorer opens them for reading as text files instead of executing either. In fastboot mode, the phone attached over usb to my laptop is reflected in Device Manager of Windows as Android Adb Device, if I remember correctly, but no files on it are visible in computer's File Explorer or Total Commander or MiFlash or MiPCsuite, the latter in usual work mode of the smartphone shows its internal memory folders all right, but not the SD as such in its File Explorer, though it opens the phone's media, set to be stored on the SD. The original problem is that despite storage of media and downloads on the external SD card and use of CleanMaster frequently, even after deinstallation of all external apps my Redmi says it has only up to 23 mb of disk space. I was recommended resetting to factory settings, but this function says if fails to switch off device search even after I log out of my Mi account and switch off Google device search as an administrator in Privacy settings. I then tried Recovery button in MiPCsuite,, but it did not work, requiring to back up the device on the PC , but saying backup is impossible when I press its Backup button, and Update\Flash buttons on the suite don't give any results either, as update says there are no updates, which is false. Redmi 3, if it is necessary to know, xiaomi.eu , never changed. So my question is, where from did you flash your phone? Where were the ROM\bat files? On th phone or computer?
