Which Android 9 Pie Firmware is Best for A70 i am still on the 1st one ever since i bought the A70
Download the last android 9 for your device.
xxxSL4 version with January update.
Do note that sl4 updates your bootloader so you wouldn't be able to downgrade anymore after that update.
The the K4 or E4 versions can be downgraded

Actually fontonyour phone and find your build number on about phone
Then go to Sam firmware > latest firmware> input your device model e.g mine is A705FN version, there are other versions too. You can check yours in about phone >software info >build number.
After inputting your model, input your country code which can be found via phone info app for Samsung on play store.
This way you can check all version available for your phone

Yes mine is also A705FN Pak Variant and this time I'm on the SE4 so SE4 is better or SL4 is better..? And if i update on SL4 so why would i not be able to downgrade..? would i not be able to downgrade by Odin..?
And if i try to downgrade after updated so is there chances to bricked?

Basically in order to downgrade, your current and new firmware must have same bootloader version
In sl4 the bootloader got updated so now you can't downgrade to older version of firmware, as doing so even through odin will most likely brick your phone.
Sl4 is stable. I am currently using it on mine A70 fn pak varient
Do note that you will need to register fingerprint in sl4

Your images haven't properly uploaded. I can't open them in xda labs app or on browser.
But for time being go to settings >notification >status bar > check show battery %age.
Are you using any nicelock/goodlock module for themeing status bar icons

If this is not working use nau screenshot app fro. Play store. Make sure that your image format is jpeg in the app settings.
If thst doesn't work then maybe use another phone to take picture of A70 screen with flash off
This was SE4 screenshot u can see charged fully icon on the top of status bar 100 along with Time when battery was charged fully it was shown icon 100% and its helped to make sure that charger is connected and working fine
And this one SL4 i have connected charger battery fully charged but Icon is disappeared
For check that charger connected or not i have to go to Devices Care then battery option then it shows charger connected and fully charged why This icon is disappeared from when i have came to SL4 is this Icon missing in SL4 Firmware..?

What you mean is that on E4 when your battery fully charged and you were still plugged in you could see battery full charge icon on status bar along with indication that your charger is still plugged in, but you can't see that on l4.
On l4 when you get full charged, only 100% appears with battery, no indication for whether the charger in plugged in or not or that baterry is fully charged or not appears
Is that right?
Cuz on mine the following icons appear when plugged in charging and fully charged and plugged in
Slide done your quick tiles to reveal fully charged and plugged in icon
You can also see fully charged message on lock screen

Yeah it's not a big deal but for me it is because i have a habit of using my mobile in the same way to plug in charger and my mobile charger keeps moving from the switch so whenever my charger moved from the switch so i used to know that charger has disconnected because of Battery fully charged icon disappear from the top of status bar because i keep use mobile after 100% by chargee plug in since i bought my 1st mobile in my life and because of this I've damaged lots of my mobiles batteries and after to know that everyone has getting this icon in SL4 and you too after updated on SL4 i saw in your screenshot and just I'm not getting this icon the one who need more is not receiving it so you can understand my pain and i can't go back to SE4 as u said so i have to prepare me to jump another Samsung device and sale it A70

Having updated the phone for a few days for now,it's time to review this latest update from Sony,so let's get going
First of all,
THE GOOD
- update came sooner than we all
expected
- transparent navbar/notification bar and improvised quick settings look beautiful
- Lockscreen now has customizable screens(pre configured)
- Task manager now looks more like the stock jellybean, but now small apps can be customized as per one's need also uninstalled from task manager itself, also widgets can now be converted into small apps
- Display now changes brightness more quickly resulting in better contrast in all lighting conditions (Sony changed the algorithms)
- Camera now gives better performance, that is it focuses more easily and quickly at the subjects, also the camera app now launches in less than a couple of seconds rather than 3-4 secs taken by previous firmwares (no mention of quality here)
- Messaging UI is tweaked a lil bit
- My Xperia, is added incase the handset gets lost, support for dualshock3
- 64gb SD card is now supported
- Stamina mode now works brilliantly and can save some serious juice for the device, overall the battery now lasts a little longer.
New feature, named magnification gestures is added for magnifying anything on the screen by tripple-tapping the screen, daydream is added
- UI for Movies is tweaked
- Wi-Fi connectivity issue is now fixed and does not loose signal at its will
- More options are added in smart connect app
And now,,,ofcourse
THE BAD(includes known bugs)
- Update came with more bugs then we expected
- Though the lockscreen is meant to be customizable,,it has a limited number of screens to choose from and we can't have screen of our choice(customizable, huh?)
- The keypad tones are still inaudible,& hands-free volume can still be annoying
- The swipe up/down to unlock message does not disappear on touching the screen and is annoying as it spoils the beautiful lockscreen
- Camera quality is not improved overall( I mentioned about performance earlier not quality, remember?),,though the camera now takes some decent shots(better than burst mode, now),,it still does not do justice to the hardware provided.. The photos look good in the mobile because of the Bravia engine but once viewed on other devices or computers, the shortcomings are clearly evident...noise is less here but photos come with too much softness for everyone's liking,,in low light and indoors this becomes worse..HDR needs some serious improvement, also photos are over-compressed resulting in a mere 2-2.5 mb/photo which is ridiculous for a 13mp camera.same can be said for capturing videos, which still allows us to take a 1mp photo while recording
- My Xperia can find your handset if it's lost.but it requires both GPS and mobile network to work simultaneously,, and there's no provision for doing it remotely,,meaning it's pretty much useless at this point.
- Though stamina mode now works more effectively,,there is a serious bug which makes the battery die almost suddenly making it reboot the device, and once it's rebooted it gains 15-20% battery,,which can make any layman laugh at your ZL :-S
- Also once a photo is taken from the camera app,,and you preview it from the thumbnail provided there,,doing a pinch to zoom will result in a bad lag(last for 10-12 seconds)
- And talking about lag,,the device now laggs in homescreen swipes(though mere,it's quite evident) and also in applications, and while browsing webpages. The device now scores less than the previous firmwares in almost every benchmark(some suggest benchmarks don't tell anything, but they can surely tell the difference due to the firmwares on the same device)
- Through systemcontrol app I found out that the first core now works more harder in standby mode(12-15% now, from the previous 2-5%) this suggests that the New firmware is more heavier on the hardware then the previous one's,transparent navbar and other visual tweaks can be the culprit here..this overall gives us an idea of the lag faced during homescreen swipes.
-More bugs to be found out soon
In all we can say that Sony did do a great job getting this firmware ready early as promised, but they could've done a better job, if they released it a little late(- the bugs)..
But we can be sure about one thing that there are a hell lot of firmware updates coming soon for us,,hope that'll get us rid of these serious bugs.
These were compiled over a set period of time and bugs mentioned here have been reported by multiple users. If you find anything inappropriate here kindly let me know
If you feel that I've helped you in any way,,please hit the thanks button

so will you stay on 4.2.2 instead of 4.1.2?
Also the scrool is so much laggy now.... In 4.1 it was very much smooth.
The lockscreen is much worst both in look and performance.
Sent from my C6502 using xda app-developers app
Hmmm, I'm on 4.2.2 and I'm not having any lag issues on my home screen, lock screen, camera pinch and zoom, and as well my scrolling xD but I am rooted so I made some modifications battery wise removing similar bloat ware and wake locks from 4.1.2 and my battery lasts 7% = 25-30 minutes as well I've been keeping intense watches on partial wakelocks and other apps that disturb deep sleep. Anyways nice post though, I've been seeing these problems everywhere but I haven't encountered one other than Apollo freaking out on my lock screen when I went to change songs and unlock quickly.
Oh a quick fix to your battery dying then restarting with 15-20% is to download batterycalibrator wait for 100% then calibrate, in better battery stats make a custom ref and use your phone regularly after your battery is almost dead check out wakelock detector and betterbatterystats to be aware of your battery drainers. As well the only lag I get is when I try making a long word and the phone keeps trying to suggest what I'm writing and if I write a huge 1 word it lags a bit. Otherwise I'm happy as hell froze a ton of apps in titanium backup btw to avoid drain xD also Greenify/hibernate now is a glorious app.
Edit 2: if anybody knows how to insert a personal dictionary for the Xperia keyboard I'd be a happy camper xD
I also don't have any lag issues. Guys, what are you doing with your phones. You can't load every apps from play stores. Not every app is a good app. A lot of them cause lags, slow performance, battery drains, etc. Be smart, less is more!

Sorry, my misunderstanding
This is a pretty good list, but something tells me it is not complete. I've noticed a lot of things that make me scratch my head.
No any lag issues on mine at all. But I gotta face to the bug of time without signal always more 20%, never ever been on previous 4.1.2. anyone else on c6502 got this? except that, 4.2.2 is a deserved choice still.
Some UI things I didn't like at all...
This "platform" is really strange...

Color of semi-transparency is terrible.
Should be as the app drawer...
Terrible white... Should be black or semi-transparency though, with smaller size and smaller icons, closer with each other...
What the hell is this blue strip at the top when selecting things...
Nevertheless, the scroll overall is terrible. Using Tapatalk, for example, scrolling in a 20 post page with some pictures or YT videos, it gaps as hell.
The wifi here is the same ****. Already dropped sometimes and the signal is the same... Terrible (comparing with S3, for example).
Battery is the same.
Sony lacks on UI friendly. Even though they want to do as close as possible to stock, with lots of things calling stock pop-ups, different from Samsung, they lack on unifying the theme, colors, animations,...

Almost forgot, the backlight shortcut on notification drawer have a bug. It doesn't go back to the previous brightness that you set, before active it to full brightness.
I just noticed something for the first time after the 4.2.2 upgrade. My screen flickers, I can see it very clearly when viewing pictures/apps that are dominated by medium to dark gray background. It's so annoying.
After running into this, and getting fed up with the new lockscreen (hated it on my Galaxy Nexus), I just said screw it and flashed back to 253. Phone is smoother and no flickr issue. I'll wait until Sony releases an update to address all these issues before updating again.
Now is a new update via OTA??I hope they fix the problems

Easy. Back up your phone completely, then download the appropriate 253 stock FTF for your specific model (e.g. C6506 US Generic). Search the forum, users posted them back in May. Then flash the FTF with Flashtool (version 0.9.10.2beta6).
Worth noting you don't need an unlocked bootloader (and will obviously remain locked).

The 253 update (Android 4.1.2) has been available since the middle of May, where as the 423 (Android 4.2.2) started rolling out via PCC/SUS last week, and generally takes about 5-7 days before being made available via OTA, which happened to be today So, the problems that everyone is reporting are related to the 423 update they have been installing since last week.

Hi all, I need help with this rom that I just flashed. Basically these are the problems I faced;
1. Battery percentage does not show after restart. I can only show it in display>show battery percentage. After restart, gone.
2. Activating Multi window really slows down my device. Like really TURTLE slow. yes, I am on tablet mode.
3. No option shown after power button is pressed. What do I get? "shutting down..."
4. Theres no rom control in settings! I know it sounds ridiculous if anyone of you have it, but nope it's not there.
5. In tablet mode, no status bar, no notification bar because systemUI is not working and I have no idea why. test.zip is flashed from the developer.
6. There's this translucent box with some phone details on it; it has PDA, phone firmware, RF cal date, SMD, RearCAM, FrontCAM and all other stuff that I have no idea wat it is.
Lastly, I really do wanna believe that this is a great rom to try out, but I'm not convinced with all the issues I faced. Nonetheless, if anyone can help me out, I really appreciate it.
Help anyone?

I tried briefly the beta app and works ok.
If you open it from the watch the app does not ask for the phone and you're ready to go.
Sadly there are no options to change the display and its exactly the same like when you run with your phone. You can see distance, time and pace.
The only issue I can see is that GPS only starts to work when you press start the running activity. The problem is that the watch needs about 30 seconds to get accurate data so during these first moments you get crazy speeds and distances...
At least is a good start. I didn't try the music at the same time. I'll post when I try it.

It would be nice to be able to edit the fields displayed on the watch.
I wear glasse but do not like to wear them when I run so I like the way Endomondo lets you display only speed...or distance...or pace.
Runkeeper has all three on the watch face which makes them to small to see without my glasses.

Did you try to use a cardiofrequencemeter directly connected on the watch ?
how do you sign up for the beta? or can someone post the apk?
Is there any voice feedback with using headphones such as coaching, lap, pace, distance etc. or is it only displayed on the watch? I'm afraid we won't get these features with or without music playback. I hope I'm wrong.
No voice feedback at the moment. Only the information of time, distance and pace.
There aren't options to change anything.
Heart rate monitor connected to the watch makes no sense today. There are no apps to show the info without the phone...

The beta was opened last Thursday, but I think they closed it two days later.
But they promised it will be very soon in next update in Google play.
Don't expect much, though. Just that, basic info leaving the phone at home.

No voice feedback at the moment. Only the information of time, distance and pace.
There aren't options to change anything.
Heart rate monitor connected to the watch makes no sense today. There are no apps to show the info without the phone...

ahhh ok, thanks for the reply!
battery
How bad is the battery drain when running? I know without GPS I can go 2.5hrs and have 30% left. That is with screen on the whole time.

Are you able to see your SW 3 on the Settings page? When I click on "Connect a Device" it keeps searching for devices, but nothing shows up on "Available Devices"

The battery use seems no different then myTracks at the moment.
I was able to run both runkeeper and myTracks simultaneously as well

The only issue I can see is that GPS only starts to work when you press start the running activity. The problem is that the watch needs about 30 seconds to get accurate data so during these first moments you get crazy speeds and distances...

The update today makes it go to the start screen by default now instead of the activity
It still has some small bugs, but the app is getting there! It works great with Bluetooth audio as well, no skipping while tracks causes audio skipping.
If they can add in some features like being able to change what fields to show, wait for gps lock, history stats, and some of the SW3 specific items like dimming and such, this could really be a great app. If they managed to put music controls as well it would be killer.
Soo soo close to have me replace my garmin running watch, but without HRM pairing, ability to change fields, GPS lock its still not fully ready
New Android Pie update came up, might be stable this time and hopefully not like the Max Pro M1
For Oreo users = 1.6GB
For Pie Beta users = 410MB
Screenshot Attached.
Will provide the feedback ASAP.
Can anyone from Europe with the ZB631KL model confirm the receipt of the update?

Gcam is working perfectly fine even after update. No issues. Seems like camera2api is enabled.

I dont see a pill itself, my nav buttons are same like old.
I have updated. Looks a lot buggy. I cannot find Digital Wellbeing in my settings. There is a circle on the home button which looks ugly. Animations looks laggy at times.

Forgot to Enable it in the settings maybe ?
Update done.
Home screen is a bit laggy, ASUS keyboard is also glitching. Its picking the letter below the one being pressed if clicked anywhere other than top most border.
edit : compatibility issue with asus keyboard app. key press is a bit messed up. no issue with stock google keyboard. sony album app compatibility issue. unable to delete images. nothing happens after pressing delete. sony music is working nicely though.

They didn't add digital wellbeing as a system app, but you can install it using apk. Install Pixel Shortcut from play store to open the app
Edit: Wind Down feature does not work
