Today am sharing my gsi lineage 17.1 android 10 rom build for Arm64 B/A devices system as root stable on redmi 8 its generic system image could work perfectly on any arm64 bit a/b system as root device stable my another rom am sharing it is for aosp 10

I don't recommend it. This thread is a copy-paste, and not formatted. This GSI is just an aosp 10 one, and very unstable. The OP didnt even post screenshots of it. If you want to get an stable experience get havoc, lineage, or any other, but NOT this. This is fishy and don't put your trust in it.

Dude, I tried your rom but it can't install g-apps. I always have errors in twrp. And every time I flash your rom my phone storage will end up encrypted. I always have to format data and that's a hassle specially I don't have a pc or laptop. If you can fix the g-apps issue then perhaps I'd try your rom again.

You need flash permissive
And root it mgsitk and install gapps

1. First of all, learn to correctly format an post, this is just a copy paste from elsewhere.
2. This is a GSI, so, like its name, its a generic one, which is meant for all devices, not just the Redmi 8.
3. Tested it, and it's not stable at all, apps crashing, can't install gapps, and other bugs, why should i choose this GSI, which comes from an untrusted source, rather than the official Evolution X/Havoc/CrDroid etc? Who TF knows what malware did you put in it. Give us a reason to trust you!.

Hi, guys! Today, I looked on the S4 Active forum (just for fun) and I saw that this still great device is pratically no longer supported, so I tried to port the JASONRR's masterpatch for Marshmallow AOSP roms.
Before jumping of joy I have to tell you that THIS IS A BLIND MADE tool!
Yep, you got it. I don't own the S4A anymore, but I felt so bad when I bought it and realized that there were no support from anyone, so I tried this blind build of the tool. I hope it works, let me know!

So, for installing AOSP roms you should:
- Download any cm13 based S4 (I9505) ROM, the more "pure" it is, the more are the possibilities to boot up!
- Download the patch
- Wipe system, data, dalvik, cache
OR
- Flash in multiboot:
- Flash the ROM
- Flash the patch
- Reboot and let me know

Btw, did you encounter any error with the installation? Or doesn't it just boot? Try with any almost pure cm13 and let me know please.

The idea of the MasterPatch all started with the i537 for porting ROMs from the i9505. Then another MasterPatch was created to flash i9505 KK ROMs to the i9295. I suggest taking a look at the two threads below, they may have some additional information on which files need to be modified/replaced to get i9505 ROMs working on the i9295.

i think if you have other version of TWRP you need to flash 3.2.3 from your current Recovery and boot to Recovery again.

The brand new Pixel Experience version, is also Pie 9.0 and is more fluid . Plus has better battery life, and doesn't get so hot.

I haven't try other rom, but in AOKP can't install Instagram, said it's not compatible, chrome and other google apps also

As per my opinion lineage os is the best...it give huge battery....most stable rom

First take backup of all current used application using Titanium Backup with data.
Backup your existing ROM using TWRP.
Wipe Dalvik/Cache/System/Data(excluding internal)
Install any nougat rom.
First boot will take some time.
Restore all/selective application from Titanium backup.

As of now only GroovyAndroid is available for Z00T. No plan yet.

This rom isn't released to the public yet and is still in beta. In order to get the beta you have to be approved/invited by the creator. Some devs don't like to publicly released betas and want a small controlled testing group. Be patient they will release it when it's ready.
As we can tell by the dearth of ROMs listed for the 20x, some/any is good news.
RR is particularly good given support and features.
It may be useful to share some requirements, device official build required, TWRP version....., etc.

Glad to see folks are working on roms for this device. Was wondering what additional features this rom would have? What "good" features of stock would we loose? Would the pen and notepad still work? Anyways, should be interesting...
It'll come very soon, be patient - testing has already been finished. I just have to find some time to rebuild the rom with the latest fixes and security patches
some informations:
rom will be installed via fastboot, requires a factory reset in stock recovery after installation.
It passes safetynet out of the box and also includes the stock huawei camera aswell as all gapps not available through the playstore.

As one of the testers I can say Resurrection Remix by @OldDroid is running fantastic already! Excellent work on it sir :good:
You guys won't be disappointed, RR is fast and stable. The wait will be worth it.
I think he must be using testers he knows. I did message him but he didn't get back to me. It's all good. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. Hopefully in the meantime more people can get rooted.

How's the camera performance? Pictures come out nice and crisp making use of the 3 cameras?
I hope the proprietary blobs are used as one of the key things that makes this phone great is it's camera.

The default camera is baked in the rom, pictures look just as the would on EMUI.

Turilo is correct. Two of my friends both got Mate 20 X's (L29's) yesterday and we compared the camera (they're both on stock .192) and it's exactly the same on RR as it is on stock.

Everything I read is that all rr releases don't have gapps pre-installed. Is this rom going to be an unofficial release not supported by rr team?

I don't have the phone yet it's on its way but I'm sure putting the rom through a kitchen on a PC you could deodex it and go gapps-less.
I'll do a bit of experimenting when I have it in a couple weeks and maybe by then microg will have an update to support q

Why would anyone not build custom roms for this fantastic portable device? It's a no. 1 bestseller in amazon.in currently. Just needs to be patient for now.

For that reason exactly. You expect someone to build but remember that devs don't get paid to do this it's just a hobby so don't expect anything.
Any piece of free firmware you get is just a nice bonus.
People have this sense of entitlement here and expect everything to be done for them.
I myself have thought about building something for this device but might just make personal builds

You are right. People do not realise how hard devs have to work to mod and test firmwares. People just demand. I am gonna be patient and wait, hoping if some hobbyist devs who have a lot of time to play with their Mi A3s finally brings out something good for free. You also already have Android One out of the box so why worry? There is already a functioning TWRP and root. All is good already. But hey, please share your personal build with us if you are thinking to start modding for this device, by the way.
is there an official thread on other forums (or even here) for the beastrom 2.0 (android 10 based)... would like to see the development.

Flash Fastboot official rom to go in factory rom and try again to flash custom roms

Runs great with only a few minor bugs, VoLTE and everything works as expected. It's just a pain to install as you need to find a compatible vendor.img from another ROM, but not a big deal.
