I'm from Brazil and my G7 is branded to TIM operator. Can I gange to a unbranded firmware, using LGUP and official firmware from sabe group? Actual frirmware is V20a from TIM and I want to change it to V20c unbranded...

Which country are you located? If you buy from Sony Mobile there wasn't any carrier and its Unlock. So, no branding at all. It just came with Sony preloaded software.
Otherwise, you could get it here and shipped to you.

Hi, Italy here. The Italians Carrier wil brand devices with the StartUp logo and some bookmarks.
Same issue for me.
I've ordered an Z1 Compact and I got a TIM branded device, now I need to understand if I should ask for a replacement or I can debrand without any risk.
You could flash an unbranded firmware to get rid of any software branding. Just make sure your device doesn't have a SIM lock or similar: dial *#*#7378423#*#* (*#*#service#*#*), then go to Service info, SIM lock.
Read (!! not just browse) the Resource Thread for further instructions.

hello guys, i am a newbie on these forums. i can't use vodafone uk sim on my xperia, but if i flash the phone with flashtool could i use vodafone uk sim? and if i can could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE guys, give me a link to a xperia s firmware file (ftf file), where i can use vodafone........

It's an Xperia S right? Did you buy it in the UK? What carrier is it locked to? Call that carrier and ask for the unlock code if you're the one who bought it from them. If you aren't, well good luck.
Flashing a global firmware won't do you any good, it'll just debrand the phone but that's it.
Using an unbranded 32gb d855 in the UK. Got no ota update from eur 10a so flashed v10f. Now on v10f global.
Questions...
Modem appears to be the same, so don't kdl files include modem/radio's?
What is the best firmware to be on, EUR or global? Does it even matter?
How do I know if firmware is for web d855?
Man, do I need custom recovery, screwed the phone and had to start all over sigh!

I'm not sure that everybody agrees with me but I think your original carrier stuff is in data/.OP which is not touched by a kdz flash and I believe that they are all the same.

you download the 10c update for you device (see kdz tread in general) and flash it with THIS
just a suggestion don'tt flash 10c but go with 10E if available for your device(same model number)

Im interested in answers to the same questions, except i need one with gsm/WCDMA/Lte in the settings that would work with Tmobile in the US... So i can root this thing already.

My model suffix is A6FR (france?) does that mean there is no 10E ?
or should find another country 10E? I am ok taking anything that will work
and after 1.5 hours of digging helplessly would appreciate if you can help me finding the proper 10E (if there is one).

I'm going nuts soon...
This is my first LG device and I'd like to get it back to stock on Vodafone. Yes, I know - I should read and I DID.
What I would like to achieve is the full shebang with all the Voda bloatware and bootimage.
I looking for this for 5 hours now and done 3 full flashes but all of them turns out to be international roms which works fine but missing all the aforementioned stuff...
I have tried these from different xda and other threads:
UK Vodafone 16G D85510A_00 from storagecow.eu
D85520h_00.kdz from csmgdl.lgmobile.com
D85520T_00.kdz (with A6VFKG suffix) from devtester.ro
Could anybody provide me a link please to a UK Vodafone fully branded ROM for D855 please?!? :crying:

Yeah, I did and I downloaded the ROM as well but NONE of them has all the bloatware & boot animation
Anyway I gave it up and will send it back with the 20t ROM from LG site.
I have it if somebody interested as LG sent back the phone with that sh*t flashed on it
I am searching for kdz version 10d from itanly unbranded (ITA)
I have tried with imei and serial but there is no download link.
Any help will be appreciated.

its normal when its unbranded is not italy but european then if you search italy on google you can find only branded italian . if you search european its good
like here open europe etc etc
