Problem flashing via Odin...always stuck... - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hello there... Fairly new owner of note 19 plus 5g
I originally rooted etc etc via guides and successfully flashed root, recovery and Dr ketan rom....thrn I flashed a original firmware via Odin and all flashed correctly....
But after rerooting , I can't flash any other file completely via Odin... I tried flashing a bootloader file from Dr Ketan , that gets stuck at odin stuck on domdbg, even when I try to flash the original file, it freezes at flashing recovery.img
I have tried several leads etc in usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports...I am not a noob in flashing either...
Can anyone help?

Bump

Quite confusing what you describe there. You flash only original roms with ODIN. If you want to flash Dr Ketan bootloader or anything custom, use TWRP . You have to switch recovery again.
Not sure you can flash custom bootloader over Samsung rom though.

Hi my friend, I was originally on stock, buyt flashed twrp, kernal and finally Dr Ketan.
I then decided to flash back to stock firmware with Odin, and returned to stock.
I again did the same thing, that was flashing twrp herbal and Ketan rom, the Ketan bootloader zip contains bl ap and co and has to be flagged by Odin, the zip removes the warning message when phone starts up.
But Odin stops flashing half way through this operation.
I decided to give up custom ROMs and rub the official firmware I downloaded earlier, but it starts flashing via Odin, but gets stuck at flashing recovery.img

Just trying to help here.
First, if you can flash twrp , do it ! , and format data , then reboot to download mode from there
Use Odin3_v3.14.4
Run it as administrator
Use an original cable that you know that always works , and this is very important , ALWAYS use a direct connection to PC ( no usb hubs in between )
I had a similar problem like yours, and managed to solved it using those steps
Good luck
Cheers

Possible brick after flash stock rom ? I need help.

I need urgent help:
I was with Custom Rom, 4.4, MK4, etc.
Turns out I tried to change the recovery, and had a system error.
So I decided to flash the Stock Rom with Odin v3.09 (India stock Rom 4.3)
And now my phone does not pass the logo of Samsung, does not start.
Any hints what I should do to get my device ? I need help.

Edit:
I read in other post: enter in recovery (before flashed stock rom) and wipe all.
I did, and phone restart. All ok now.
Thanks XDA.

[Q] CUSTOM ROM flashing via Odin?

Hello,
my samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (p5210) for some reason reports various errors when I try to install custom ROM's using recovery menu. I already many of the ways of fixing these issues, Tried a few recovery menus, hard to find for this model as they are not officially supported. I'm currently downloading a stock ROM and I'm going to flash it usiing Odin.
Is it possible to bypass the recovery menu and flash a CUSTOM ROM (not a stock one) using Odin or some other program, connecting my tablet to pc in the bootloader mode?
There are a few posts regarding this issue but in every post people are getting answers where to get official stock firmware files for Odin. I want to flash a custom ROM that came in a .zip package.

Sending 8$ on pp for de-brick on Teamviewer

Title says all, i have an att SGH-I747 and i tried to install a custom rom without the phone being rooted (didnt know that was a requirement) and the original stock was 4.3 and i was trying to get it to 4.1 . after doing extensive research ive tried countless different files and such to restock the phone but nothing has helped because on odin, when i hit start, it goes unsuccessful to do auth being bad or something like that. so if someone wants to help a fellow brother out please dont hesitate. add me on skype godlypk101
Can you get into download mode or recovery?
FYI: if you were on stock 4.3 bootloader, trying to get back to stock 4.1.1 can brick your phone.
yes i can
Here's what I would do to at least get a working ROM on the phone:
1) copy the latest version of d2lte cm11 to your external SD card: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d2lte;
2) flash the latest tar.md5 version of Philz Touch from here: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_...Edition/d2lte/ in the PDA box of Odin;
3) reboot to recovery and flash CM11.
ok, now what if i dont have an ext sd card :S
You had the stock 4.3 ROM on your phone before attempting to downgrade to 4.1.1, correct?
If that's the case, this may help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2722660
yes, will try that method to see if it fixes anything.
in that pack theres 5 files and they start with, AP, BL, CP, CSC, D2 (Pit) where i put these on odin?
UPDATE: Put all the files in the correct spot, started the fix in odin and lets hope it works
ok so now that the phone is working, what are the steps im supposed to take in order to unlock this bad boy? should i refer to a method on xda on custom roms or should i go buy a code from a third party website?
So your phone booted on stock 4.3?
If the phone ever had the 4.3 bootloader, you cannot unlock the phone for free. You will have to purchase an unlock code.
I haven't tried but I think of your rooted then use cm boot loader then mount all partition and wipe then use cm to load new or old system. Think of it like a pc format then install. Simple

[SOS] only download mode, read please

Hi, sorry for my english.I ll try to explain my situation:
1 flash cf-root with odin, it work ok
2 flash twrp with odin and then (my friend suggest me) flash newest bootloader with odin beacouse he want install a newest mod.
Now phone stuk on galaxy note 2 logo at startup.
But there is a big problem, i can go only in download mode and when i try to flash a stock rom odin stops at system.img and don t go...
I tried with kies too but it stops to work at the same
Any idea?
Thank you all
I tried other usb cable and other odin version and all work...

T700 stuck after updating to 6.0.1 and running cf-autoroot.

So something I did went wrong and I'm at a lost to what to do. I tried searching google and here but if someone could point me in the right direction, I would be most greatful.
So I install 6.0.1 using smartswitch which went just fine, but I decided to root it using odin and cf-autoroot, but that seemed to fail and I was stuck in download mode. I manage to exit download mode but it just remains stuck on the samsung logo. I am able to boot into twrp recovery (had installed already from 5.01. root) and I did a factory reset but I'm still stuck.
Any ideas? Any hope?
Update: Got it working buy downloading henklbr stock rom located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...firmware-selection-sm-t700-sm-t2960225/page18 I think I screwed up odin the first time by not having auto-reboot checked. And can I say samsung-updates needs a better download provider, I did not want to wait 8 hours for their download to complete.
If you are reading this because you ran into the same issue, rooting with cf-autoroot still didn't work for me, I ended flashing twrp via odin and and then going into twrp and flashing superuser. Now I have root again.
Just saw you fixed the problem.. may my time wasted rest in peace
Yeah uh last I and others I know checked cf-autoroot does not work with android 6.0.1
Feel free to try this though:
Okay so here is how you can MAYBE fix your T700.
1. Download a firmware or ROM from here or other source: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T700/
2. Download Odin v3.10.6 on your PC.
3. Use Odin to flash the firmware or ROM on your T700. (Don't know how? Try to find a general guide on flashing firmware)
Once you do that feel free to use this root method that works on the T700 running 6.0.1:
http://android-rooters.blogspot.com/2016/10/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-tab-s-84_27.html
yep, just download a TWRP with a TAR extension for ODIN and happy flashing... You can root after installing your Rom. The same can be done if you install the stock ROM before installing TWRP and rooting for debloating.
Thanks anyways ZimriTech, Google lead me to be leave CT auto root would work, lesson learned.
