[Fixed] OnePlus 5t keep rebooting into recovery - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

As mention in the title, i have unlocked bootloader & OOS 9.0.11 with magisk + xXx No Verity 4.0.zip "downloaded from here, i wanted to try Pixel Experience custom rom, so i backed up everything using twrp backup, wiped every thing including internal storage, installed Pixel Experience Full package "Android 10 plus edition 14/3/2020", cleared cache then its never boot to system. when i click "Reboot system" it reboots then show me that bootloader warning then oneplus logo powered by android then reboot again automatically to recovery, so i tried the following:
Wiped EVERYTHING then restore backup = same problem
Wiped EVERYTHING then Clean Flash [OFFICIAL] OxygenOS 9.0.11 (Android Pie 9.0) OTA = same problem
I can access to twrp recovery and its working fine, but i can't reboot to system
FIX: Wiped EVERYTHING, flashed stock recovery using twrp, locked bootloader, flashed OxygenOS 9.0.11 using adb sideloader from stock recovery "install from adb" = booted into system successfully
can anyone tell me where was the problem? :/

You forgot to flash the firmware (9.0.11), flash it before you flash the ROM and it should work without any problems.
If you need the file check the crDroid thread links and download it from there.

Weird problem while flashing Official Nougat on my op3.

I was on
OOS 3.2.8 with official twrp.
I flashed modified twrp (.28 ) in official twrp .
After that i wiped everything except internal.
Flashed official 4.0 full zip.
Wiped cache & dalvik
Flashed Supersu v79
Flashed official twrp img file in modified twrp (assuming that I will get official twrp after booting to 4.0)
Again wiped cache & dalvik
Clicked on reboot system, msg appeared that No Os Installed sure to reboot?
I rebooted, after that device successful booted but then stucked on this screen---- not moving forward from here.
My recovery is also replaced with Stock Oxygen recovery, I went to Stock recovery > wiped cache & settings data & then again tried to reboot but same problem.
Then I again wiped same things in Stock recovery & tried to install 4.0 from there but Stock recovery showed Install failed.

Then i thought nothing can be done from here, so I booted into fastboot mode & tried to flash twrp.
But in pc it showed "can't load recovery "
Now I am confused.
I can't lose internal storage at any cost, so keeping this in mind what can be done to get on official OOS 4.0 with root & twrp.
Help me please.

Flash modified TWRP 1.28 (That is the only recovery you'll need!)
Try to boot and into TWRP, connect the device to your computer and BACKUP your storage. Once done we can proceed.
The OS is indeed installed, so the screen shot you posted. Was your screen hanged there or were you stuck on the step?
Hello to all. for the problem is the recovery that says that there is no os installed, I resolved not doing wipe system

Hi,
Your entire partion map is broken now, you don't have any recovery now.
Getting data at this point is somehow boot to ROM. Your hope is to recover the ROM.I think fastboot is working for you.
Try to flash 3.2.8 through oxygen recovery
If it's not working, try below
Proceed with caution(no 100% Guarantee):
1.Download unbrick kit from forum
2.open fastboot and try to flashing only system
3. Dont try storage
4.boot to ROM and recover data
5.do a complete unbrick
6.sideload oxygen 4.0
7.flash twrp28 from fastboot
8. Goto recovery and flash supersu
9.done
Data files for system is there in unbrick kit(oxygen os older version).
Fastboot commands:
flash system system.img

What stock recovery you have ? I think you need Ver 2.0 . Ver 1.0 is for MM ROM, and Ver 2.0 is for Nougat one. Find them on the XDA forum

Go here:
http://oneplusroms.s3.amazonaws.com...694818&Signature=DSUZrSJyV46Dd/JKBmI3Z1Dri5Q=
That should link to the recovery.
It has to be sideloaded through fastboot:
fastboot flash recovery filename.img

Yesterday night I flashed modified twrp using fastboot, after that I tried to clean flash 4.0 again using modified twrp, but same pattern repeated again.
Then I flashed stock recovery (downloaded from google) & then tried to flash 4.0 through stock but again it showed install failed.
Then I again flashed twrp & then took backup of my internal storage & moved 4.0 to desktop.
After that
Fastboot format userdata
Then flashed twrp to transfer internal storage to my phone & this time pc showd can't move this ffile (or similar msg)
Then I flashed oxygen Recovery & then tried to sideload the rom (idk full steps to sideload, didn't find any detailed tutorial on youTube )
Attaching image of the it.
I placed 4.0 zip on desktop & then in stock recovery Clicked on adb and then entered command "adb sideload four.zip" but it failed again
Now I am fuc*ing confused what happened & what to do.
Current status is oxygen Recovery Installed with everything erased.
But even after formatting, phone is in same condition like before.
Someone confirm it that when I l successfully flashed modified twrp & then booted in to it, the version in twrp screen was written as 3.0.2-1 & not 3.0.2-1.28...... Is it normal?
Someone help me please with easiest way.
edit: fail^^

Dude, don't worry
First Twrp28 looks 3.0.1-1 only when you boot to it.
2.This issue happens when your partion table got lost(means corrupted, that's why not able to transfer)
best way to recover is
Download unbrick kit from xda
1.power of and press volume up button, then connect to Qualcomm mode
2.recover to 3.2.6
3.then start again
Issue solved.
Booted on 3.2.8

First I used fastboot erase recovery & then flashed stock recovery again but again nothing was happening.
Then formated everything, then flashed modified twrp .
Flashed oos3.2.8 in twrp then flashed modtwrp.img in twrp , after that rebooted in twrp before rebooting system (this is what I did wrong earlier).
After rebooting to twrp , rebooted to system.
Previous error was gone now but now new error came : encryption issue.
Then used tool kit to force decrypt the op3.
After that rebooted to oos3.2.8

Help!! My Pixel 2 XL is stuck in the bootloader!

Hello, I was just trying to install a custom ROM (Resurrection Remix) on my phone, but now I can't get out of the bootloader.
The steps I took were:
Install TWRP
Root with Magisk (for Titanium Backup)
Factory Reset in TWRP
Flash the RR rom zip file
and now when I turn my phone on, it goes through the bootloader unlock notice and the Google screen, but then it just goes into the bootloader.
I tried going into LineageOS recovery and doing an OEM sideload, but when I go into Apply Update --> Apply from ADB, on my computer, adb devices shows nothing.
Someone please help me.

So fastboot should work. You can always flash the stock ROM first and continue from there.
Instructions: https://developers.google.com/android/images
Try the following,
Go back to stock
Boot twrp
Swipe to factory reset in twrp
Flash RR ROM zip
Flash TWRP zip
Boot to system (it should go to OS)
reboot back to TWRP
Flash custom kernel (optional)
Flash Magisk for root
Boot back to system

crashing and failed to reboot into system, boot loop into recovery

my oneplus 5t already unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP.
yesterday i saw the oneplus 5t open beta 19, so i downloaded it and click setting→system update→local, and click the downloaded update files...
it reboot into twrp and flashing, after flashed, my phone boot loop into twrp only, cannot boot into system. So i click wipe→advanced→ tick dalvik, cache, system and data. next i download the stock rom from official (oos 5.1.7 and open beta 19). after flashing, it also boot loop into twrp... i tried download and install the stock recovery from official, but it black screen when i boot into recovery, so flashed back to the TWRP...
Pls help me to solve the problem pls........... :crying: :crying:

Format Data and then flash the rom. Formatting will wipe even your internal storage so once formatting is done, transfer the files to phone and then flash

Fastboot bootlooping after trying to flash custom ROM

Hey everyone. Tried to flash a custom ROM for the first (and maybe last time) on the Mi5s from China Stable V10.2 to Lineage OS16. I think i did everything correctly at first
Unlocked the bootloader with Mi Unlock, put the SDK tools into ADB folder, flashed TWRP with command prompt, made a backup, wiped data, disabled force encryption, MAGISK root, flashed Mi5s firmware (although I could only find Oreo), LOS16 (Pie), and OpenGApps
I did all of that and got stuck on the LOS boot animation. Then I wiped data + cache partitions and tried again (didn't work). I quit trying with LOS but instead tried to flash the MIUI Global Stable recovery ROM with TWRP, also only made it to the boot animation. I then did a factory wipe on TWRP and tried to restore my backup but now it would only boot to the fastboot (not even trying to load the ROM)....... I can still access TWRP so maybe I'm not so screwed but what do I do? I just want a functioning device and don't mind if I go back to China Stable although advice on trying to flash a custom ROM would be appreciated. Thanks!

Confirmed working steps to install Magisk on Realme X2

A couple months ago I once tried to install Magisk on RMX1991 by following official guide (on non-rooted phones), [Magisk 20.4, stock ROM C14, TWRP 3.3.1-19]. It failed and went into "the current image(boot/recovery) have been destroyed and cannot boot" screen, but I managed to restore to stock ROM and stock recovery. Today, I went for another attempt since new version of stock ROM and TWRP have been released [Magisk 20.4, stock ROM C17, TWRP 3.4.0], it failed and went into the same screen again.
I believed that someone must had installed Magisk on their X2 successfully, what steps did you followed to be able to achieve that?
How did you managed to restore the stock after the "the current image(boot/recovery) have been destroyed and cannot boot" screen?

I had exactly the same issue, so I followed this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2/how-to/to-stock-rom-howto-t4014773
My phone was bootloader unlocked, with custom recovery flashed, and bootlooped. I downloaded the stock recovery image from the thread above (second post contains dl links), and flashed it using fastboot. I now lost TWRP but got the stock recovery back. I downloaded the latest original rom for my china edition RMX1991, and put it on an sd card (internal storage is also fine)
Latest RMX1991 china:
https://www.realme.com/cn/support/software-update
Latest RMX1993 EU:
https://www.realme.com/eu/support/software-update
Full original rom repo:
https://realmeupdater.com/downloads/archive/
You can't flash these with TWRP, but since we have the original recovery back in place we can now flash it. After installing the rom, do a wipe from recovery and you should be good.
After that, I started experimenting with lineageos again, and indeed confirmed that installing magisk 7.3 or 7.2 cause a bootloop, and using their magisk uninstaller makes the phone usable again.. I'm very interested if someone knows how to get magisk to run properly on the X2
Steps I followed to get root:
Unlocked bootloader
Flashed twrp
Rebooted device. (this step is important, or else you'll get stuck in bootloop)
Booted back into twrp again.
Flashed latest magisk
Reboot.
