Flashing from SM-G986N to SM-G986U1? - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Hi Guys,
I have a korean variant S20+ from KTC, unlocked phone. Been trying to flash KOO on this phone and it does not get rid of the Bloatwares and the KTC booting screen, tried both HOME_CSC and CSC with no luck. I mean, Flashing has been successful but the bloatwares remain.
I want to try and flash the U1 XAA firmware on this one, I just want to know if that would cause any issue or if there's any chance to brick my device?
Has anyone tried this? Please share your ideas.
Thank you,
Jet

There is no way yet to debrand

I see, thanks for the quick response.

I just used a bat file to switch my 986N from KOO to SKC so I don't see why it wouldn't work the other way around. KOO is multiCSC so it has CSC for KT, SKT, LGU+.. so I think this is possible for you too.

Debranding Samsung Galaxy S20 5G (SM-G981B) phone

Hi All,
I have read that to debrand a Samsung Galaxy S20 phone (mine is SM-G981B) you can't just do a straight flash with Odin using debranded firmware and that you instead need to first change the CSC using SamKey. However my issue is that the CSC for the carrier my phone is currently on (United Kingdom EE) seems to be the same as debranded firmware (United Kingdom BTU). You can see here: sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s20/firmware/SM-G981B/BTU they both have the same CSC (G981BOXM1ATCT).
I also came across this guide: samsungsfour.com/tutorials/how-to-install-stock-rom-on-galaxy-s20-s20-plus-s20-ultra-s20-5g.html for debranding, however without any other sources to back it up, I am a bit reluctant to try it out in case it causes any issues.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Mate, all you need to do is change the csc to BTU in order to debrand. EVR and BTU csc are part of the same multi csc, however change your csc to BTU if you do not want any carrier bloatware or boot image etc.
So the only way to debrand is to use samkey? There is not a free/not payed alternative?

Denzel09, you can buy a single SamKey credit on eBay for £2.25 just to let you know. Search for SamKey, sort by cheapest and set "Item Location" to Worldwide.

I downloaded patched ODIN and flashed the latest KOO firmware available for SM-F926N. Nothing changed at all. The phone still has all the bloat and SK Telecom settings menu options.
Not sure where I am going wrong.

This is not possible now AFAIK, I have tried to change the same on s21 ultra nothing worked. I even tried samkey ...money waste.
Only solution is root and change using phone info.
You can change csc to KOO however I am still facing network issues in India. Trying to find if somehow I can get to INU csc without root.

Change CSC/different region note 10+

Hello, I currently have an SM-N976N.
I bought refurbished and live in Ireland.
I am looking for a compatible firmware that's not Korean but not having much luck. I can't flash anything in Odin except n976n firmware, and even that didn't seem to get rid of the sky telecom provider bloatware and branding.
I can provide CSC etc if anyone thinks they can help! Looking for something like a global or UK Ireland Unlocked like the B...
tried to flag KOO firmware...I used CSC as opposed to home Csc but I also used userdata file in Odin as well.
The sk splash screen and bloatware is still present.. There was a warning or info message on phone after I flashed, and then it rebooted again. I couldn't read it as it was in Korean.
Also, if there's no way to change to a euro firmware, is there any way to change bootloader/recovery/download language?

Hello, try this firmware, you can convert your N976N to N976B, none of the files are tested by me, let me know if you had any luck successfully flashing your phone.

Question Korean Z Fold 4 Firmware Change

Hello. I just got a Korean Z Fold 4 and now I was wondering if I could safely change the firmware to the Indian firmware. Any guidance for the same would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
Model Number- SM-F936N
What are the benefits of doing this?
The only reason why I wanted to do it because I could not use certain apps and certain pre-loaded SKT mobile apps were installed which I could not delete.

Have you tried changing your csc to KOO which is unbranded using the samfw tool? https://samfw.com/blog/samfw-frp-tool-1-0-remove-samsung-frp-one-click
Not sure if you can try and change it to an Indian CSC of your choice. But you can try changing your csc first to KOO first which will remove those bloat and restrictions a carrier csc has.

I heard that flashing another variant csc will lead to hard brick.

flashing another firmware variant could lead to a soft brick. Changing just the CSC wont brick your device
