[Q] Lost ability to edit in Gallery - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Whenever I click the pencil icon to edit, it tells me allow permission in settings. Next to it in blue, the settings do nothing when clicked on.
There is absolutely nothing I can find in settings>apps>gallery>gallery settings to turn on any permission. In the gallery app info, all 4 permissions are enabled.
Anyone have an idea where I can find the permission needed?
Best regards,

Just in case anyone has similar problem, the answer is below:
Open Settings
Click Apps
From the 3 dot menu select "Show system apps"
Search for Photo Editor
After clicking on the Photo Editor entry, click on Permissions.
Ensure that "Storage" is allowed.
This is by a kind person from community.samsung forum.
Best regards,
P.S. Dont know how to edit title to solved.

you can try the attached .txt document, plus a few more tweaks you may be interested, as well.
Please read very carefully and be cautious not to mess up your ppc.

What you want is called SoftKey Applet, filename is: SoftKeyAppletEx.cpl
Or depending on what you want to do you can download Taskmanager v2.7. Kill poutlook.exe(windows folder) and replace it with whatever .exe you want controlled by that softkey. Just rename the exe you want to poutlook. If it still gives you a read-only error kill cprog.exe also and just repeat the above steps.

WM6 Default Messaging Path?

I've looked and looked, and searched...I guess I'm missing it. Does anyone knoe the default path for the Messaging "app" in wm6 for my launcher? I'd like to be brought to the screen where I can choose the account to send from. Thanks in Advance!
*bump* - Anyone?
If I'm posting a dumb question that's answered elsewhere just let me know that...
*oops...double post...*
FWIW, you SHOULD be able to use the topmost left button (with the envelope on it) to access the screen you're describing in one easy step. You should also be able to find it in the Start Menu, listed as Messaging.
Shortcuts in my version (Custel 2.5) show the executable as MSINBOX, but that's not an application name ... just a system label, of sorts. Maybe somebody else can id the actual file for you.
-pvs
im confused by what your asking - you want it to, when you open Messaging, to give you the choice of which account?
Menu > Tools > Options > CHECK: Display account picker when opening messaging
and once youve opened it, hit the left and right, or keep tapping messaging to cycle through accounts - and the account is displayed in the top left taskbar
if thats not what you were asking, elaborate on what youre looking for and ill give my inputt

Not sure about the account selection screen, but for exec and command line options: \windows\tmail.exe -service, -cc, -bcc, -transport, -to, -subject, -body, -attach
eg. "\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" -to "" -subject "" -body ""
If you just open messages, it will open the account selector. SO just find the shortcut for that (which is in Windows and the exe is tmail.exe) then it should go there. Good luck!

\windows\tmail.exe for the win!!! Thanks everyone Guess I should have explained I was looking for the executable name as opposed to the path...
thx again!

(REQ) Screen Rotating Application

Hi, can anybody suggest me a screen rotating application where I can choose the applications & also things like dialer, lock screen, email, messaging etc. manually, that I want to rotate.
And before any1 asks me to use changescreen, I have already used it, but the interface is really poor. Can't understand a damn thing on how to choose specific applications & utilities to rotate...
I use MobileMagic to rotate the screen and launch applications via rotation of the screen ...
you find here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2948939&postcount=1
to add applications in change screen
then proceed as follows:
Press on "show name apps"
opens a dialog box and press ok
on each application that you open up the name of it, choose an application, go changescreen, press on "stop", press on "exception", press to top on "add"
and the string that appears check the program name you've seen before ...
forgive me for my bad English ..
I hope that I explained the best possible
If you are using new manila V2.0 or V2.1 you already have a build in screen rotating program just need to add programs to the white list
G-Config
in other hand I use Change Screen very nice and stable application

Since you didn't say which ROM you were using, I'm going to assume you're on the stock one with TF3D. Go here to turn it off: Start > Settings > System > G-Sensor.

im using the stock sprint rom with the 6.5 upgrade. Ive disabled touchflow and use spb mobile shell. Ive gone into start settings system g sensor but there is only a option to calibrate the g sensor nowhere do i see any other options for anything. I dont think there are any differences wether i access the setting through touch flo. Maybe your rom adds that setting. Thanks for the reply and trying to help.
Delete the apps of your choice (in this case Opera) from the White List in the registry to prevent G-Sensor rotation. White List location is:
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList
If registry edits scare you, you can install the G-Config app. This simple program just edits the registry through a user-friendly UI.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991
Open G-Config, you should see Opera on the list of Rotated Apps. Select and hold on Opera until the option to "Remove" pops up. Select "Remove" than exit G-Config, and soft reset the phone to make the change take effect.

Hi thanks for the response. i use opera mini and its not on the list. I added it and then tried to remove it but that did not work. I guess its only good for disabling g sensor for the programs that it comes with - I was succesful at disabling rotation with the opera on the list that comes with the stock rom. Any other suggestions? Ive never edited a registry but am williing to try if you can tell me how. thanks.

Hi There, in relation to your First question, there is an App free on the market called "application Folder" which creates folders which have a very similar look and Feel to the iOS counterparts.
As for the Password lock questions, im not aware of Any apps that can lock specific folders, suggest Searching the forum or the Android Market !
Arabic Keyboards can be downloaded off the android market, Download a new Keyboard (like swiftkey or Gingerbread keyboard) and see if they have arabic Localisation !
hope that helps

Check this out for Getting your SGS2 arabic

If you're using TouchWiz, open the applications menu, hit the Menu button, Edit, the tap and hold the app you want to place into a folder. Drag it into the folder above 'Add Folder'. Repeat for the other apps you want to place into the folder. When you're done, press Menu, tap Save, and Yes. Your new folder will be the last icon in the application menu.
To rename the folder name, open the folder then tap and hold the Folder 1 text on the top. It should pop up a box where you can change the name.
Cheers

For the red part: You can drag the little box where you dropped the apps into to the applications screen.

No problem It's a bit less clumsy than using a 3rd party app.
