So I just got my Note10+. I came from a S10+ and I'm loving it minus one thing. App notifications seem to stop at the camera and not go to the other side. Moving the clock to the other side helps, but it feels like a huge waste of space.
Does anyone know of a way to utilize both sides? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I never tried as I assumed that was a display limit. Oblnce you fill that space, u think there is a dot right by the camera to indicate more notifications. I will poke around to see olidni can change.

You have it set to show all notifications?
Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
No, the notifications are limited to the left part, Moving the clock to the right, and adjusting dpi to 595, I can get some 13 icons there, enough for me

13 on the left? How do you change the dpi?
In settings>developer options> minimum width, there you input the value,
think the max possible is around 611,

To what would you reccomend? I increased the numbers by a little and by a lot but still nothing's happening
If you increased by a lot you probably covered it. I honestly had not installed lmt yet. Will give it a shot before offering any more advice.
---------- Post added at 10:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:23 PM ----------
Just installed lmt launcher 1.912 (most current version). You have to be rooted. Are you? I activated the service by flipping the toggle to on (first option) then. Hit the check box to run on startup. At this point I notice a small black activation area on the middle of the right side of the right side of the screen, touching it opening pie without trouble. I moved it to upper right where I like it and made the activation area longer changing it from 300 to 800 pixels. I also changed the thickness from 20 to 40 pixels. Still no problem but much easier to open.
40 was a bit to thick. Changed to 30. 800 was also not long enough for my preferences. Changed to 1200. As stated only other change was to move gravity from center to top.
I have it set to 40. Works fine here.
I got it working!
I just downloaded a different version. Not sure what the issue was but downloading 1.912 fixed it. I had 1.99 before.
Kind of funny that he added another digit instead of just going to 2. I guess 2 will be for a major update?
Thanks for helping, guys!
1.92 worked on the s4 as well. But not 1.99

any way to edit what's on the ambient display?
would love to get a battery% on there.
Agreed. That would be nice.
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using XDA Labs
I don't understand why Google doesn't put battery percent on the screen I would also like to be able to adjust the size
Have there been any updates on this subject now that we have the working root and TRWP?
Really love to have options to change clock colors and display battery percentage.

Isn't that (also?) why it moves around?
It would be nice if Google could do something simple like say, have an automatic off setting so it's not wasting power during the night.
Must Samsung lead the way with everything Google does? Seriously?

So you'd like to see ambient display start but only run for a set amount of time? I know I've seen it get really dim, dimmer than when it starts

Yes. It's something Samsung has had for ages now. I mean Google took the time to create a scheduled system for blue light reduction, yet couldn't bother to do the same with Ambient Display. It's either on 24-7 or off.
The best solution I've found is to put a piece of paper or such over the top sensor at night so the phone will think the device is in a pocket and turn off the screen.

The best ideas are the easiest sometimes. I stay away from Samsung. I can't stand trying to figure out where they put stuff at. Why change menu structure even. I've tried several times because of the awesome hardware but never make it past about 2 months.

Want Ambient Display to show battery level? Star this issue and let Google know (but don't comment)

Cheers for the tip! :good::good: We've done my part now let's wait
I just got my pixel 2 XL and can't believe google has not enabled this already, it's a very basic item and a must have for many.
Pretty pathetic, hopefully once roms start dropping this will fix many shortcomings on the device.
As mentioned in an different thread, using Accubattery will display the battery level on the AOD. In my brief testing, Google reported the app as not consuming any measurable amount of power overnight, so no appreciable battery draw. Also, there is a root app from an XDA RC that displays the music you are currently playing/streaming on to the AOD. This is different from the existing "now playing" feature already built in, and at the end of the article HERE it says that almost any "text" can be displayed on the AOD. It's not the built in Google controls for the AOD we are expecting, but there is hope for customization for those with root, and in the coming ROMs.
Well, got this notice, just don't know what "Changed" (shrug)

I hope they enable the ability to keep the icon on the lockscreen while removing it from the notification panel.. that would be perfect.

Is there any way to port over options to adjust the screen resolution I'm surprised this tablet does not have it already the tab S2 had the options in the settings to lower the resolution to save power and higher it when watching videos. I was wondering if there was any way to put this over and install it on the Tab S3 or if it has been done already. Thanks

Thanks, I also did this. Seems a great fit and seems to run faster too (though turning off the CPU limit probably helped)
How do you turn off the CPU limit ?
It's in settings - device maintenence
Press on the battery icon at the bottom
Choose Off

I'd also recommend adding Greenify and L Speed to the unmonitored apps section there too if you use em which you should
Anyone found a way to change the screen resolution for Games?
They look weird and compacted, almost as a 4:3 format, instead of 16:9
The stock 2048 x 1536 puts it in a really weird aspect ratio.
EDIT
NVM found this, it does the job
https://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-game-tuner-update-removes-a-ton-of-useful-features/
Nope, while that sort of do the trick, but it doesn't produce a crisp image.
This works for me https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...msung-game-tuner-3-4-04-android-apk-download/[/url]
Set the Res to 100 percent in this apps settings
It's the only one unless you are trying to tune pubg mobile in which case there is a specific app for that ?
Not sure if everyone is aware, but when you scroll on the larger screen, half the screen can't quite keep up. Don't know what I'm talking about? Try recording yourself scrolling with another phone in slow motion, you'll see it. Some youtubers posted about it as well. Hoping it will improve with updates.

One plus didn't fix that issue. i believe it was a hardware.
The only fix for us temporary is rotate the screen horizontally

This is new to me, turn off the battery optimized for apps: com.samsung.android.biometric
The fingerprint scan is so quick, the screen makes the change, the fingerprint animation hasn't finished. Try it!

Wow... I was very skeptical but still tried... Looks like it's working ~2 times faster now...
So, why doesn't Samsung have this set as "not optimised" by default?
If someone from Samsung is reading this, maybe it will get changed in an upcoming OTA but I wouldn't hold my breath...
Nice find. Much better now. Thanks a lot fot the tips
Most definitely better!
Wooow!!! The change is incredibly big
Great discovery ?

OK, found it under "special access" , I have to search for "Optimize battery usage" in the settings search bar and then filter for All apps, then look for "com.samsung.android.biometric" and turn off battery optimization. Tried this setting, and I only notice a very slight improvement in unlocking speed. So maybe this doesn't benefit Exynos devices as much. Would like to hear others' experiences.

100% not placebo. Mine slowed down noticeably after I put tempered glass on my screen - it's now just as fast as it was when I first got it.

There was speculation on the Reddit thread about this potentially burning out the scanner faster. Any logic behind that theory?
