Is there any way to get limpus on the diamond?
Linpus seems to base on x86 pc platform. the htc diamond is based on a arm architectur. but for general linux can run on arm devices..
What linux would this be? other than android (if that is linux? om no guru at linux)
Hello.
With the growing sizes of SD and microSD Cards it is (or will become) more important to have a good and reliable filesystem to store the big amounts of data.
Well, on Windows Mobile there is only support for FAT and FAT32, and as commonly known, they don't belog into categories like reliable.
Microsoft just introduced a new Filesystem called exFAT, which has quite a lot of advantages. Sadly, it is not supported in the latest Version of Windows Mobile.
When I searched the internet, I found that Windows CE6.0 R2 came out, which contains support for exFAT. There are also a lot of resources free to download, which should help porting exFAT to Windows Mobile 6.5
Windows CE 6.0 Evaluation Toolkit:

Windows CE 6.0 R2

Windows CE 6.0 R3
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=bc247d88-ddb6-4d4a-a595-8eee3556fe46
Maybe it is possible to port, maybe not. I can't tell, but maybe a developer here finds that interesting enough to take a look at it.
The drivers written for Windows CE 6.0 are written for running on CE 6.0 kernel that has a completely new architecture, as it is much more optimized for speed etc etc etc.....
Our devices are running CE 5.2 Kernel.
We'll have support for exFAT when Windows Mobile 7 will be released.
Windows Mobile 7 will run on 6.x or 7.x CE Kernel, where the exFAT FS drivers are / will be available.
*sigh* ... ok

Sorry to ressurect this topic, but I'm testing some playstation joystick I have and I have tried to disable signed driver (test mode) in Windows 10 but it didn't worked. It seens PP Joy is deprecated and replaced by vJoy, however it does not support Parallel adapters, which is my case.
I'm used to install psxpad "psxp_a020606c" software in order to install those adapters, but unfortunatelly it didn't worked in Windows 10 too (unlike Win 7).
I guess that in order to resolve the problem I should back to Win 7 (or maybe a linux distro?) or buy an USB adapter.
Seens that since nowadays joysticks are bluetooth compatible or it has USB connection, these kind of support for usb/parallel adapters are gone =/
Is it possible to install Windows 8.1 or 8 on this tablet? i know it has an x86 atom CPU but i havent been able to figure out how to install Windows on it yet.
has anyone here installed windows on a x86 android tablet? if so i want to know how to do it on this samsung tablet
I suppose, having Windows 8.1 sources, you won't build the system without having sources for all hardware components of the device. So no, it is not possible to install Windows on every device.
