[Q] Video player - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Anyone know of a video player that will allow you to zoom in while connected to TV via Smart View? The default video player will allow it if you watch on the phone but complains “zoom not supported” when connected to TV. Often had people ask if I can zoom in to have a bit better view of someone or something. Never been able to find out whether any of the vast collection on playstore have this ability.
Best regards,

no issues with mx video player pro when screen mirroring

Mostly use My Files or on rear occasion Solid Explorer.
Have tried MX player but while it works to zoom in, it doesn’t have pan like the default player, so I’m still searching

Apps to watch .avi files

What is an app where I can watch .avi files on my nexus 7?
I've tried looking around but I don't see any one talking about it...

MX and Dice Player are the best options imo, I've only been using MX player though as it hasn't given me any problem with any of my movies including 720 & 1080p flicks. I heard MX dropped DTS support so some movies may not have sound, that's where dice player comes in.

I used to love Mobo Player. Using MX now, but if Mobo fixes it for the N7 I'll go back to that.

Moboplayer updated yesterday, works on nexus 7 now. It can also switch video playback to a floating window.

I switched from MX Player to BS Player after seeing it recommended in these forums. The only thing I miss from MX is the lock mode.

Yeah, I kinda regret buying MXPlayer Pro. Should have read up more before buying anything. BSPlayer is good but, no screen lock.
DICE Player plays my .avi files but, sometimes, I have to start them a couple of times because the video will fc and throw me back to the Skifta Video Browse screen. Weird.
Yes it is good, but I want an app that hides the soft keys like the video app which incidentally works great for mp4 files.

The main reason I switched was becuase I was getting no audio with .mkv files in MX Player, whereas in BS Player all the files I tried were ok.
Wondershare!

All share cast requires your tv to have screen mirroring or the all share dongle.
All share play shares with other devices.
Change player is your typical dlna where you can play on your tv.

Ok I managed to get videos olaying by using change player. My fault, if u get s dongle can I simply display my phones screen on my tv as in a mirror, internet browsing ect?

Yes, that's correct. I have the all share dongle and I love it! It mirrors the device's screen!

Seems good, only i can play videos and pictures on my xbmc machine already, alot of money just to see your device display. Must be a workaround for that for sure.

Well there is, you can get an hdmi cable and hook the phone up. The all share dongle is a wireless solution. Or get a TV which has the screen mirroring feature?

Sorry to bump but where is "change player"?
Also does it work with Music Hub? If so I might start paying for it.
Thanks.
edit: Ah dw, it seems it is in the Samsung Music Player, shame it doesn't seem to be in Music Hub.

i used mxplayer but switched to diceplayer as it lets you play in pop-out video while checking e-mail etc
BSplayer can play video in "external mode", so everywhere, while you are surfing, reading email etc... and you can resize, pause or clse the video.
MXplayer doesnt provide this feature.

BSPlayer, by far.
Mkv at 1080p with audio DTS, flawlessly.
I bought bs player pro, but had problems with it in 4.2, dice player is what I'm using now for smb streaming

DicePlayer is my favourite. Smooth and you can activate Plugins if you need to.
I use vplayer

I use mxplayer and have no complaints. Love it.

I use BS Player because it read everything well and has a LAN Mode. But the UI is horrible.
My combo: BSplayer (soft decode) for WMV + DICE Player for everything else

Playing music while filming

Hi,
Direct to the point. My question is: is it possible to somehow allow the phone to play music (ex. Spotify) while it's filming?
Thanks!
You should get MOG instead. That isn't answering you question but it does sound 10x better

I didn't know MOG. I checked it out but I am very happy with Spotify. Spotify also has a great app "Sounddrop" which I use very much for discovering new music.
Thanks for the tip though!

Spotify also has the option to stream @320 kbs, so I can't see how it should sound better.

[Q] Freeze while playing video

Hi all,
I just changed my tab 7.7 for the Note 8, but I'm quite disappointed. Using the same video player (MX Player) the video freeze, or many square appear. Everytime I have to reboot my tablet before watching movie, even task killers doesn't help...
My tablet run stock ROM, I only rooted it.
Does somebody have the same issue?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Why mx player? The default video player parts most files well.
In mx player try HW decoding
Sent from my GT-N5100 using Tapatalk 2
Have you tried BS player? I've not had any issues with that and I think it's better then mx. What file types are you having issues with?
Sent from my GT-N5110 using xda app-developers app
Thank you, I think the stock player can do it very well but I don't know I was use to MX Player.
I activated HW decoder, it's much better now.
Thank you for you help
