[Guide][Root and Fix Bootloop] Galaxy A50 SM-A505F Android 10 Q - Samsung Galaxy A50 Guides, News, & Discussion

Previous TWRP is not work on Android 10 Q I have tested it. The procedure root method is same with this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a50/how-to/guide-root-samsung-galaxy-a50-tested-sm-t3946889
The problem that we will face is bootloop after reboot magisk manager or reboot the phone. We need to fix it by deleting Magisk manager data/cache. Steps that we must do:
1. Boot system without magisk
2. Delete Magisk manager data/cache ( don't run magisk manager after clear data/cache )
3. Boot system with magisk
To make it clear watch this video below, it also work on M30s

Unlocked, rooted coming from... yes... 8... Best way to get 10

Hey all, just wondering what the best/ easiest way is to go from an unlocked, rooted phone with android 8 on it, and get it to 10. During this process I would prefer to lock it and unroot. I've been rooting my phones since the first Droid phone back in the day... but alas, I just don't have the time for it these days... life and work catch up to you. I would also like to perform a totally clean install and format the phone. I was under the impression that simply taking an OTA for 10 would do this? Am I wrong? If so, a link to a guide or some advice would be greatly appreciated!
I am also unlocked and rooted on 8, looking at going to 9 or 10 but stayed on 8 because with 9 I was having issues with wifi tether to certain device types (I think it may have been due to hardware tethering acceleration). I am not sure if wifi tether is working yet on Android 10, I have read here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/help/android-q-beta-3-wont-mount-rw-t3929443 that there is problem mounting /system as rw.
But getting to your original question, I think the process of getting to 10 would be similar as going to 9. You will need to do a full wipe, so back up everything.
Download the OTA file
Boot into Recovery mode
Navigate to ADB sideload
Connect the handset to a computer with ADB tools installed
Enter the sideload command
Reboot your phone
Extract Boot Image
Install Magisk 19.4
Patch boot image in Magisk
Move patched boot image to computer
Boot into fastboot
Flash patched boot image

Update, I went from 8 to 10 with canary magisk and tether is working
I downloaded latest platform tools, factory image, twrp 3.3 img, magisk canary apk and zip
ran the flash-all.bat, had to do it twice, the first run failed
wait for the phone to reboot and start
put canary magisk apk and zip on phone storage
install canary magisk apk
fastboot boot twrp3.3.img
flash canary magisk in twrp
reboot into system
followed barski's instructions from https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/how-to/android-10-root-t3964176/page2 :
1. Magisk -> Downloads -> MagiskHide Props Config
2. Magisk -> Downloads -> BusyBox
3. Reboot
4. Adb shell -> type ‘props'
5. Select ‘5’ -> n -> ’net.tethering.noprovisioning’ -> y -> y
6. Wait for reboot
7. Adb shell -> settings put global tether_dun_required 0
8. Reboot

Poco F1 root

Hi
I have installed Lineage Os 16 custom rom for Poco F1.
But the problem is i can't root the device.
I have downloaded the magisk 20.1 zip and the Disable-Force-Encryption-Treble.zip from:
https://magisk.me/root-xiaomi-poco-f1-using-magisk/
I enter the TWRP , i flashed first the disable force encryption zip, i rebooted to twrp , i flashed the magisk and i rebooted the device,
Magisk manager installed properly but when i tap Safety Net Check Success i get the ctsProfile:false.
Rootchecker also gives me the message that root is not properly installed.
Any ideas but if possible without having to format data .
I also tried (after another members suggestion) to flash magisk 19.4, canary magisk but with no results.
thank you in advance
First of all: keep it simple. Set screen lock to swipe. That avoids encryption too. Go twrp and wipe system and re-flash ROM (and GApps if needed) that restores boot image.
Second: try rooting with lineageOS native addonsu from download/extras. Enable it in developer options.

Disable Core-only mode from magisk after rooting coloros 6

Firstly,
i would not suggest to root coloros because after rooting it freezes like every minute and only way is to force reboot by pressing volume up + power button, Believe me its annoying.
R2X2 by anabhi isn't able to install magisk 19+ versions it only installs magisk 17.1 version (I don't know if only for me or for all)
So, I used orange fox recovery.
coming to the point,
here are the steps i used to disable core-only mode in my color os and it worked for me..
1. install magisk 20.3 from recovery than reboot (do not install latest version of magisk as of now 20.4)
2. reboot to system. now you will be seeing core-only mode in magisk manager
3. update your manager to latest version ( only magisk manager not magisk )
4. after that go to settings in magisk manager and disable core-only mode
5. after disabling core-only mode close manager from recents, and open again
6. check if core-only mode is disabled in settings then only proceed to next step
7. now update magisk to 20.4 through manager (Direct install (recommended) option) and reboot by clicking yellow reboot button below
Voila,
now you will not see core-only mode in magisk manager...
Well , It works for me So , check if it works for you also....
happy rooting coloros

Help root xiaomi mi 10t lite

Hello, I would need help to root my device, if someone could bring me advice I'm taking, I own remote control software if it tempts someone to help me I'm up for it
Have you unlocked the bootloader and install TWRP first?
The bootloader is unlocked, TWRP is not installed, I had to read the forums to try to install TWRP but my phone is stuck on fastboot impossible to do anything
You can root very easily:
1. start the phone in fastboot mode
2. from a PC type command "fastboot boot twrp.img"
3. once in TWRP, install magisk.zip file (don't forget to follow new instructions for Magisk v22)
4. once Magisk has been installed, reboot to system
5. congrats, your phone is rooted now (without TWRP permanently installed)

You might have incompatible module installed (for example SafetyNet fix) - disable all modules temporarily, install Magisk and see if the phone starts.
I disabled all the modules before installing the recovery rom, however there is the uninstall of magisk 22.0 and safetynet fix?

Can you start the phone without Magisk installed?
yes
I solved by disabling modules from orange fox recovery,
how can i do to see the contents of the android folder, that is scoped storage?

You are contradicting yourself a little, you said that you disabled all modules before recovery ROM installation, now that you disabled them from Orange recovery. It might help to describe steps which you did and current status of your phone.
I had disabled them from magisk, but in the twrp they were active, and when I realized it I disabled them from twrp and I solved them.
p. s.
safetynet fix is compatible with android 11 and magisk 22?
i wouldn't ruin it again

Unlock bootloader
Flash a recovery (fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img)
Reboot into recovery (fastboot reboot and hold power and volume up)
Load magisk zip on an EXTERNAL SD find it and flash
Boom
for scoped storage is there a solution?

You need to reinstall safetynet fix after Android upgrade, installation script uses different files for different Android versions.
What issue exactly do you have with storage?
after the update open file manager and if I click on android - date I no longer see the folders
i tried to install safetynetfix from twrp but it gives me error

Install from magisk under the modules section, then install from storage
gave me mistake because i had wrong files
Just for notification. If safety net is important with you. Install latest stable xiaomi.eu rom v12.0.11.0. Safety net is passed and implement in rom. I 've installed it...Developers continue playing cat and mouse with Google

Question Rooting Oneplus 9 Pro

I recently got my 9 Pro and since i'm used to samsung and the crappy knox, i was wondering if i root/install custom roms and i want to reflash the stock rom and relock the bootloader, will i be locked out of certain stuff or does the system still see that the phone was once running unofficial software like samsung does with knox?
No, you shouldn't be locked out of anything going back to stock...

Magisk root method is a very advanced and safest method. And the best part of this method is that you will receive the OTA update, and you will be able to use banking apps without any problems.
First of all, download the latest Magisk Zip file on your phone.
Then rename the downloaded Magisk apk file extension .apk to .zip.
Move the Magisk zip file to your phone’s internal storage.
And make sure you have a Custom Recovery installed on your phone.
Now Boot your OnePlus 9 Pro to TWRP Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Up + Power Button at the same time until open TWRP mode.
Tap on Install from the TWRP Recovery page.
Now locate Magisk.Zip file from your internal storage and select it.
After Tap on Swipe to Confirm Flash.
Then Reboot your phone.
Once your phone boots up, install Magisk Manager APK.
You have Successfully Rooted you OnePlus 9 Pro device.
