Having trouble understanding where to start - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Right, so I haven't done these types of things for years and it's safe to say I've forgotten most of it. So my question is do I root first or do I just install TWRP ?
I've chosen to go ahead with this TWRP https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678420. But it says Oreo compatible, so I am guessing I can only install an Oreo ROM ? Are there any better(newer) options available ? It is all very confusing, I've tried searching but so many versions of everything, I am not even sure which Odin I need or if it even matters ? I have the GT-I9195. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I am going to try and help you out with this the best I can
You need to use Odin to install TWRP on your device (I'm assuming you have the stock rom currently installed).
The latest Odin should work just fine (a google search should help you find and download it)
You can download the latest version of TWRP from the official TWRP site for your device (http://twrp.me)
After you download it follow these steps (taken from here because I was too lazy to write it again http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449107:
1)Turn off the phone.
2)Press and hold home, volume down and power. Download screen should appear.
3)Connect USB cable, and press volume up
4)Start Odin, uncheck "F. Reset Time" and "Auto Reboot", and then click AP button.
5)Select extracted "recovery.tar.md5" file and press Start button.
6)A blue transfer bar will appear on the device showing the recovery being transferred. Check the Message Window in Odin for: "All threads completed. (succeeded 1 / failed 0). The transfer has successfully completed.
7)Long press the power button to turn it off.
8)Hold volume up, home button and power buttons simultaneously to boot into recovery mode.
Once you get to the recovery mode you can install any Rom you want to after making full wipes (wiping data, dalvik, cache, system, internal storage (this wipe is only needed for the first time. I have Lineage Os 17.1 (Android 10) installed on my GT-I9192. On the same thread, you can find the rom for GT-I9195 too.
With respect to rooting, after you install the Rom + gapps, you can flash the latest version of Magisk to get root access. (A simple search will get you the latest version of Magisk too).
(In case you have no idea on what flashing, Rom, Gapps are, there are plenty of videos on youtube that can help you out with that.)

Ookay, I actually managed. Got the Lineage 17.1 installed. To be honest the hardest part was actually installing TWRP. The phone would always replace it with stock recovery and I couldn't get it working. Tried ADB but got stuck 'waiting for device', then I found a 'All in one tool' which i used to Root my device so that I could use the TWRP Playstore app so that I could get the latest version of TWRP....Took me a bit longer than expected, even bricked the device once but managed to get it back and it's now running alright. Anyways thanks for your reply, I guess the thread can be closed now..

The trick is to immediately boot into recovery after flashing it. If you reboot the phone itself, the stock recovery overwrites itself back (useful to remember when you plan to install twrp on your next device).
Anyway, glad you managed to get it working

[Q] device hangs in black boot screen after ...

I screwed up my SPH-D710 big time (see details here ...). I am starting a new question thread here as this doesn't have anything to do with the device constantly booting anymore.
I have now manged to get the device into a state, that it doesn't boot anymore, neither regular nor into recovery, but hangs in the black boots screen that says "Samsung Galaxy S II" in white letters.
I can still boot into Odin mode though - and I hope that's a good thing.
Last thing I put onto the device (also mentioned in the other thread) was Garwynn's SXTP+Agat Recovery kernel v0.3.0 from Rwilco12's repository.
Can I still save the device and how.
I really want some expert advice before I do the next step ...
Thanks in advance!
OK, so my device is officially bricked. I think I can still get into Odin mode (if I find a charged battery, as mine drained / didn't charge any more in the mean time).
In case I find a charged battery and can still get into ODIN mode, I want to try a [rooted] stock ROM - does it matter which one?
Eventually I want to load CM11.
Thanks.
Please follow these directions to return to stock latest rooted.
Download these files and place them onto your desktop named EpicStockRooted.
Choose between whether you want Data wiped, or not.
GB27 Rooted Data Wipe
GB27 No Data Wipe
Samsung Drivers
Make sure Samsung Kies, or other versions of Samsung Drivers are uninstalled first. Then install the Samsung Drivers.
Once you're finished start the executable GB27 file as administrator mode and wait for it to load. Once you're done, proceed to put the device into download mode. Hold Volume Down + Power button until you're on a Android Firmware dialogue with the green android, press volume up to proceed to the next screen.
Now plug in the device to the computer ( USB 2.0, original samsung usb to micro plug ) and let the device be recognized. you'll see a [COM:##] show up within the first white box, doesn't matter about the ##, as long as it's reading [COM:]
Proceed to click START! and wait for it to be finished, appx ~15 minutes to do so.
Once done the device should auto-reboot. Let it load up.
Setup your device and proceed to the home screen of the launcher, SuperSU will force close on you, don't worry about that, press YES and setup your Google Account for Play Store.
Update SuperSU via playstore, then install as /system app in SuperSU, you're done setting up now.
You're issue was installing a custom kernel for the wrong type of Android version for your ROM.
The latest Custom Kernel for Jellybean GB27 is Agat's Source version 1.4.2f. Use Odin 3.07, within PDA slot to flash the custom kernel. But make sure you're fully loaded on stock first.
If you happen to think about loading CM11, Please feel free to see this post HERE
Thank you very much Spark!
That's pretty much what I did after some heavy research here on this - very helpful - forum.
I downloaded and installed a rooted one-click GB27 and am back up and running - learned a lot from that experience.
Thanks also for explaining what I did wrong.
I am now in the process of downloading the necessary stuff for going to CM11.
I installed Mobile Odin (Lite) and am putting EL26 CWM recovery (StockCWM-EL26.tar.md5), an ICS modem (FL24.zip), gapps and CM11 (I will start with the stable milestone version from here, and then maybe try the latest nightly, if success ...) on my sdcard.
I read (and read again ...) this post on the "one Stop FAQ for Noobs" thread and hope that I won't run into any issues.
Thanks again!
You're welcome, it's all about trial and errors here, People can read and read but most posts around here do get confusing on what you should do and it is A LOT of reading. But once you get used to it, you'll be up to speed on what to do from there on.
I managed to get the device to CM11 and everything is working.
I followed the instructions in the "One Stop ... for Noobs" thread and the OP in the CM one. The only hickup that I had was that the EL26 recovery kernel only has CWM5 and one obviously needs CWM6 (probably in order to flash a KitKat ROM ... (?)), so I had to find a CMW6 recovery that I could flash with CWM5.

Flashed TWRP on it, but official factory reset still there

Hello my juicy people,
I have a problem with twrp on the LG G4 h815. First, yes I unlocked my bootloader correctly with the unlock.bin and without any errors. Also it's not my first phone to unlock and flash twrp on.
So the problem is, I flashed twrp, but when I go into recovery mode, I come to the official factory reset.
I thought TWRP will wipe this old ****ty factory reset and replace it completely?
Then I get asked: "Delete all user data (including LG and carrier apps) and reset all settings?"
I select "Yes" and then get to the next question which is the same question, but with some extra words underneath it, which are: "Select Yes to delete"
First of all, I already selected Yes...why is he asking me again? It's NOT even a question like "Are you sure you want to delete everything"....but whatever....
The point is here, if I select "Yes" again, THEN I get into TWRP....wtf....
A different way I get into twrp is if I connect my phone with my PC and type "adb reboot recovery" into the terminal. Then I get immediately into TWRP without having to deal with the official factory reset menu.
So my questions are:
1) Why is the official factory reset still there?
2) Why do I get into TWRP only through the official factory reset ( except of course through typing "adb reboot recovery" into a terminal on a PC ) ?
3) How do I make it "TWRP only" ? I read on the TWRP site, that I can put TWRP on a SD-Card and then flash it through the TWRP, I can get in, onto the recovery partition. So, flashing TWRP through TWRP...
But how do I do that? Will it get flashed automatically onto the recovery partition if I just flash it like Cyanogenmod/LineageOS or do I have to select something different in the TWRP menu?
Thanks in advance
im guessing that volume up+power key combo does something besides than booting straight to recovery (maybe boots to that screen then that screen boots to recovery idk).

Thx for trying to help me, but really Sherlock? It "does something besides than booting straight to recovery"......not that my problem is all about that.....and not that I mentioned that in my start-post.....???
But let's say, you had good intentions....I think. Then:
First, it's volume down+power key.
Secondly, it doesn't boot automatically after some time into TWRP when I'm in the factory reset menu. Only if I go thorugh the original factory reset menu like I mentioned in my start-post.

Suspect the problem is either in failing to follow EXACTLY the installation instructions in [RECOVERY][h815/h811][OFFICIAL][MM] TWRP 3 touch recovery [2017-03-11] (https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/recovery-twrp-3-touch-recovery-t3442424) authored by steadfasterX now OR the version you have flashed (see the Announcement from steadfaster: WHICH TWRP VERSION TO CHOOSE?, at the top of the OP).
In any event, your questions should be posted in that site, directed to steadfasterX. He has proven very responsive and extremely helpful to many individuals (as an aside, I used in my older MOTO G LTE one of his TWRP versions and without a doubt it was the best until the later Official version was released, so I would definitely check out, at a minimum, his stable Beta version linked in his announcement at the top of the OP)

TWRP recovery not working on Blackview BV9500

Hi everybody,
I try to root my Blackview BV9500 by installing first TWRP recovery. I use fastboot mode on a linux laptop to do that.
I successfully flash the twrp recovery image, but after that, the phone don't boot in recovery anymore.
It try to boot into recovery, but it reboot in normal mode a few second after.
I tried also with the cmd "fastboot boot recovery.img".
When i flash back the original recovery image, it work, i can boot the original recovery without any problem.
Does anyone have the problem?
Some one can help me to find a solution?
I, too, am trying to do this. I have not yet flashed it... I was going to use the fastboot boot command to boot the recovery kernel before permanently flashing it, to make sure it would work, and in my googling I stumbled across this post. Serendipity! [Edit 3: Although, reading your post again, I see you tried that as well and it didn't succeed for you. For me, it simply tells me remote: command not found, so how were you able to even get that to work?]
All that said... I have the BV9500 Pro, specifically for the two-way radio, so I'm going to try to keep that little tidbit of hardware working in the process. I mainly just want to tweak the menus a bit, tweak the quick settings, get root, delete the Google crapps I won't be using...
On to your problem, though, I can't help much but maybe if we post back and forth our successes and failures we might be able to stumble through it together?
First, I assume you already have unlocked your bootloader? [Edit: Honestly, I'm not sure flashing the recovery would be allowed without first unlocking the bootloader]
[Edit 2: Perhaps this thread might be of help. Different model, but often the hardwares used by manufacturers are similar enough that the same steps generally work. ]
Thank you for the link, maybe i need to flash the complete rom with the twrp recovery with spflash tools, and it will work.
I will try and let you know, but i will make a backup of my rom before flashing it!
For your problem with fastboot, maybee it's because you need to install it. You can use the command "sudo apt-get install fastboot" on a terminal window if you are on linux.
If you want to enter the recovery mode, you don't need to use fastboot, you can simply enter it by pressing Volume Up and Power buttons together for a couple of seconds when your phone is off.
When Boot Mode appears release all keys.
To flash recovery with fastboot, you need first to enable the developer mode on your phone (go to "Settings > About phone" and make 7th tap on the build number, the Developer options will be unlocked and available), and unlock the bootloader of course.
here what is the process i made to flash the recovery :
- i use the command "adb devices" to check if the phone is well connected. (response is like "BV9500S320001179 device")
- then i enter in fastboot mode with "adb reboot bootloader" (phone reboot and ask confirmation for fastboot mode)
- check with command "fastboot devices"
- unlock the bootloader with the command "fastboot oem unlock" or "fastboot flashing unlock".
- flash the phone with the twrp recovery with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
- reboot the phone in recovery mode with "fastboot boot recovery.img"
Normally the phone boot in twrp recovery.
Hope that will help you too.
I am too facing this problem. In case you got any solutions please let me know too.

Yup. Already had fastboot installed for the LG G5 this phone replaced, the Galaxy Note 4 the LG replaced, the MyTouch 4G Slide the Galaxy replaced, my wife's old Galaxy S5 I used in the interims... LOL, I've got a working install. No, the "Remote: command not found" was returned from within.... Whether fastboot or adb, I forget now, but I was able to get the file to flash eventually, after reading your first post, but unfortunately the phone would not boot to it (nor Android). I thought I'd bricked it. Twice this happened. Each time, after about 5 minutes, it eventually booted to Android.
I flashed the recovery from the ROM in the link Blackview sent me and was able to boot their recovery just fine, so there's something in the TWRP that my particular phone doesn't like.

Thanks, I keep forgetting which keys to hold for recovery versus bootloader, so I use the adb command to be sure without having to keep a notepad nearby.
Clearly I don't do this as often as I used to.

Now that was something I haven't done since the T-Mobile G1 days. My understanding was that you CAN boot a recovery without flashing it first if you"fastboot boot {image filename}" but that didn't work for me either. I'm also assuming that the filename to flash can be anything because the device stores it to a partition, so it shouldn't have to be specifically "recovery-verified.img".
The recovery you have... Were you ever able to boot to it? If so, would you be willing to share a link to its download source, please?
I've got to run for a prior engagement, I'll check back later.
Thanks!

I guess i find the reason why the modified recovery image won't boot.
I find an interesting information in a post of osm0sis (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2073775) were he say : "some newer MediaTek (MTK) devices use special image signing that adds a "BFBF" pre-header signature, so images will unpack/repack but most likely won't boot unless run through their internal signing tool."
After more search, i find an interesting publication (http://www.lieberbiber.de/2015/07/04/mediatek-details-partitions-and-preloader/) witch confirm that.
They say in conclusion of the publication :
"Yes, I can confirm that SignTool is able to add digital signature information to firmware images. Signed images have an additional header “BFBF” and some fluff which SP Flash Tool checks on a secure device. Apparently some manufacturers merely used the default MTK key for signing the images, making them no better off than a typical insecure MTK device."
So we have to find another way to install magisk to root it.
Root 9500/pro
Mine rooted already....you guys can check on 4pda russian forum
Note : do not use the 17.1 version of magisk there because after reboot the device will freeze if you resboot after twrp 1st install...instead flash 17.3+ or 18+ right after first install of twrp...
EDIT : dont mind the russian language in TWRP as you can change it to english once there

Hello I have same problem... Do you have that original recovery file? I don't have and I would like to get that back. Thanks.
DL this:
needrom. com/ download/bv9500pro- bv9500-root/ (delete spaces)
- Copy Magisk-v18.0.zip and disable_encryption_9500.zip to external SD-Card or OTG device
- backup your data from internal SD-Card
- do a factory reset and turn off phone without entering the setup guide after reboot, or wipe via recovery and power off
- Flash recovery.img using scatter.txt with SP Flash Tool
- boot into recovery with hold down vol + and power
- switch TWRP to your language and install Magisk-v18.0.zip and disable_encryption.zip
- reboot and update or install MagiskManager-v6.1.0.apk
Thanks to Jemmini from 4pda.ru

you can just download latest firmware and simply backup NVRAM etc with sp flash tool also flash with sp tool, you will have then working twrp with disabled encryption. there are tons of post regarding using sp flash tool on this forum
im using same phone and did these actions on first day and did not have any problem with twrp or magisk
Hi,
I've bought this phone in Pro version. I rooted my phone using needrom.com/download/bv9500pro-bv9500-root/ and adb after unlocking bootloader. Then I failed with errors. Then I used SPFlashTool in root mode with official 2018092919_s32v63c2k_jk_pro.rar rom (I don't find it anymore on the net but 1) I got it on Blackview official forum and 2) I have the file on my own PC) with format+Download and replace recovery with TWRP from Jemmini from 4pda.ru before flashing. OK.
Then I rooted again: format /data with TWRP, then install disable_encryption.zip, wipe dalvik, reboot on TWRP, then install Magisk, wipe dalvik, reboot normally.
Beware: TWRP is in Russian language at first boot, so to get it in English, first slide the first slide (allowing writing), then select 'Настройки', then the globe on top, then English, then 'Установитъ Язык'.
Hope this helps.
Then, this is my first rooted phone, so I plan to make a custom rom without Gapps (then maybe without Mediatek Ones and agold too) and remake all functionning with apps from Fdroid. Help needed on a manner of removing a system/vendor app properly. Help needed too to add V4A, as I could see max version supported is Nougat. I announce this here as my first post, but my project will be a full post. If someone want help please ask here or MP me
Note: an update of magisk is out (official 18.1), I installed it and my phone tells me a message that facial recognition was not working anymore then it only boots on TWRP... I reflashed it and my phone boots normally again. Wait and see...
Thanks to Jemmini from 4pda.ru again.
Bests Regards

I have checked every single post on Google but nobody has solution for this. U guys face this problem too?

New update has been released today. It solves some battery issues, but be very careful.
I installed it, having TWRP and now I'm stuck in TWRP. I've tried to wipe everything but I'm still in TWRP.
I'll try SPFlashTool ... hope it works.
Everything restored & updated.
Using SPFlashTool I flashed all files included in 2018092919_s32v63c2k_jk_pro.rar (including original recovery instead of TWRP).
After that, Android booted and then, using OTA, I updated to latest version.

The latest version is not on the forum. I installed via OTA.
But if you mean the previous firmware, there is one link on the blackview forum: http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?t=480235#p795494
SP Flash tools are well documented here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982587
And a complete list of blackview bv9500 / bv9500 pro files and instructions (in russian): https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=931296
Hope you find what you are looking for.
@kanadali,
for the moment I'm not facing battery drain because there is not simcard in it at this state of my modifications, sorry.
@Reflected_God,
I think this is the link I used, I use the 2018092919_s32v63c2k_jk_pro.rar rom for base.
For all others who faces big problems like me (facial recognition not working then reboot on twrp only, I could reflash my phone with SPFlashTool, the rom and twrp from Jemmini/4PDA in russian only (others don't work for me). I used Format + Download in root mode on Linux. Then format /data with TWRP, then install disable_encryption.zip, wipe dalvik, reboot on TWRP, then install Magisk, wipe dalvik, reboot normally. Do other things. To remove gapps I disabled/force stop it before remove with TWRP. Others apps I can't disable simply remove with TWRP. I test if I encounter bugs but none for the moment. If someone wants to know what I do I've made a LibreOffice Calc sheet log, which evolve when I have time
Hope this helps
Bests Regards
Need Files or a GOOD guide. bv9500 NOT PRO.
If someone could upload the exact files that they used, and the exact same steps, that would be great. Please mention what stock version you have and a link to the image if possible as well. I've followed numerous different guides, with multiple different rom versions, multiple different recovery imgs, used sp flash tool and adb/fastboot multiple times, tried making sure everything was unlocked before each try, have all the necessary drivers, and the closest I get to a functional twrp recovery is a green line that appears at the top of the boot screen before it reboots. Ive tried going to the source, the russian site, but all of the links are 404ed. if not for me, then it would be great to just have this all in one place. Thank you please future hero.
Please include exact program versions (ex SP Flash) as well if not zips of them. I am sorry to be asking so much in one post however I truly didn't know what else to do. And I am typically very good with my google fu xD
I currently have build number BV_BV9500_V1.0_20181026. That seems to matter I believe.
I second the notion.
I have the pro model. I have considered rooting it, but honestly, the phone works well enough as-is without root (for me). However, I'd LOVE to be able to play with different ROMs on this device **AS LONG AS I CAN MAINTAIN THE TWO-WAY UHF TRANSCEIVER FUNCTIONALITY** (i.e. not some "needs-a-network-of-some-kind" "walkie talkie app" like Zello but the real UHF two-way), and I'd LOVE the ability to play with the files associated with the radio to really explore the hardware's capabilities.
Unfortunately, this phone seems more popular in [North]eastern Asia than anywhere else so I don't think we're likely to get much on this forum regarding it unless and until BV become a popular name in the western hemisphere.

Applying Magisk to OnePlus 3 on Android Pie results in a soft-brick

Yesterday I took some time to attempt to upgrade my OnePlus to Android Pie after finding out earlier that it's not as simple as just installing an update when your boot loader is unlocked. After a bit of searching I found this guide which I followed to upgrade OxygenOS to version 9.0.5. After some initial problems (I didn't pay enough attention and TWRP was set to auto-reboot which complicated matters a little) I managed to finish the upgrade and the device booted.
After confirming everything worked well I figured I should flash Magisk back onto the device so that I would have root access again. I flashed Magisk 19.3 and tried to boot the phone but it got stuck on the spinning OnePlus logo during boot. Left it running for over an hour, nothing happened so eventually I decided to flash the OTA update and the BL/KM patch again, which made my phone boot again but without Magisk, obviously.
After that I tried flashing Magisk 19.2 and Canary (19.4), both with the same results: a spinning logo, nothing more.
I'm not sure what else I can try. In a particular braindead moment I thought I should just try to take a look at Magisk's log file but of course that's not accessible without root access. I've got a feeling that the patch to the bootloader is causing issues with Magisk's firmware patch but I'm not familiar enough with this kind of problem to figure out what is going on exactly.
Does anyone recognize this problem or can one of you tell me what I could try to get Magisk running again?
I had this problem. Turns out after each flash: twrp, magisk, a reboot/ power off is required.
Here's what I do.
1) flash recovery using fastboot
2) reboot to recovery
3) on home screen of TWRP > reboot > power off
4) wait 5 seconds, turn phone back on and go to TWRP right away
5) flash magisk > TWRP home screen > reboot > power off
6) wait 5 seconds, turn phone back on and go to TWRP directly
7 TWRP home screen > reboot > reboot phone
Should get you to boot

I tried it just now. Sadly I get the same end result. Thanks anyway though.
I have an ADB log of the crash that happens that causes the phone not to boot, maybe that's familiar to someone around here? I uploaded it here.
Hello can I ask a question why do you need root
OP, I just upgraded the battery in my OP3 and, due to some software quirks with a certain custom ROM, decided to switch to Havoc which I liked a lot on my OP6. I flashed Magisk with no issue. Here are the steps I took:
Starting with unlocked BL
Boot into the newest official version of TWRP via fastboot.
Flash OOS 9.0.5 and boot into it, completing device setup.
Reboot into OnePlus recovery, then from within, reboot into fastboot
Flash TWRP to recovery in fastboot, then shut down device (do not attempt to fastboot reboot recovery, it will boot into OOS and overwrite TWRP)
Boot device, use volume key to interrupt startup, boot into recovery (TWRP)
Follow installation instructions from Havoc thread, do not wipe cache/dalvik after flashing, do not boot before flashing all zips (I flashed ROM -> gapps -> Magisk in that order)
OP, I'm not familiar with OOS's current status. My recommendation is to try a different ROM to see whether it is a compatibility issue with the ROM itself. Alternatively, try flashing OOS then Magisk one after the other in TWRP without interruptions, like I did. From the wording of your OP it sounds like you booted into the newly flashed OOS, then flashed Magisk after, which may be the source of your problems.

I work on an app that uses location data and it's pretty convenient to be able to test it on a real device but with a joystick instead of real location data. To make matters more complicated it's my personal phone and I use that to play Pokémon Go too. Without cheating I might add, the root is not for PG but because I do want to be able to play it on the same phone that I use to test my app I need Magisk to hide the fact that it's rooted or the game won't start.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'd rather keep using OOS on this phone as long as I don't have a new phone for daily use. I don't really want to modify this thing too much without having a replacement ready in the likely case that I screw something up.

I tried both flashing the OTA, the modded firmware and Magisk in one go and separately after confirming that the OTA/FW were working. Sadly both methods resulted in the same problem.
If anyone's wondering I did a clean flash and factory reset, then installed Magisk again after that. Everything's working again now. Thanks for trying to help!

S10e - impossibility to install Lineage OS

I need to install Lineage OS on this phone.
After multiple tries several months apart, I am still not in success.
Followed all internet tutorials and sites.
I don't want to install any G apps or any special root-things like magdisk..
I only want pure Lineage OS without any extra applications.
Way I tried and probably ended up like before:
Get newest official samsung ROM installed, update, enable usb debigging and oem, go download mode and go factory reset, get back in, sign in to wifi again, again enable develop. settings and usb debugging, go into download mode, take odin and install through the AP option the TWRP now that the phone is in download mode a 3rd time, supposed to be possible now with OEM unlock.
Most of the names on the way I don't understand, just follow tutorials.
I need to get to TWRP to then finally, as used to always, install Lineage from zip.
But I never get rebooted into TWRP recovery, just forver the samsung one, even when firmware is no longer there - after flashing in ap option the twrp tar again it never boots into TWRP afterwards.
Is there something else i must do? is not getting into oem unlock and flashing TWRP enough to get there?
And after, will the zip install finaly get me to have lineage installed?
Did you try the official guide?
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/beyond0lte/
I hope I picked the right phones, otherwise check devices overview.
Alternatively, perhaps this helps:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-a-graphical-installer-for-lineageos.4509995/
PS: Usually LOS doesn't do TWRP anymore but comes with its own recovery (a/b)
Why they don't do TWRP now?
I saw TWRP tuorial fot s10 on tutorials and it worked
Do I have to give up on TWRP way and od it with the adb commands from PC

It's because of this new double recovery scheme:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/help-understanding-a-b-partitions.3748003/post-75545902
https://source.android.com/docs/core/ota/ab
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...ess-updates-affect-custom-development-on-xda/
EOD: It's safer, updating happens in the background, then just a quick reboot et voila.

Yes, it's still there but perhaps you post a link to your guide (or ask there). To me it seems you had TWRP just in your RAM but not your phone?
As for me, I finally gave up on TWRP and use the "crappy" LOS recovery Have way more important things to waste my time on...
PS: Sorry to bring such "bad" news, wasn't too happy with that change myself
Great, I finaly made it work.
I followed the site with turotial on installation and did not try TWRP
First I had to install samsung ROM again
It turned out to still stay unlocked so went straight to download mode and this time flashed Lineage recovery sucesfuly with heimdall
Then it booted up and a half samsung sreen made it seem like there is trouble
but Lineage recovery launched
The adb load from PC did not work so i chose to instal zip from SD even there
Now Lineage is installed
Still don't know how much is randomness, luck and so on
But it's done and hopefuly repeatable
