Hear my story -
For all these years I was in the dark. My phone automatically shut downs for almost 2 years whenever I try playing games and now it even without playing games it first freezes then the screen starts flickering and the phone restarts. I searched for many solutions but never found one. Then few days ago I checked a post related to battery on q/a and installed the battery app from there and checked my battery health. After seeing it at 28% I am 100% sure that the issue is because of battery. For all these years I stopped gaming and occasionally played in my moms phone. I really want a battery now and would appreciate for ur help

[Q] Correct method to charge Sony Ericsson MBW-150 Music Edition Watch?

Dear Users,
Can you please let me know what's the exact procedure for recharging MBW-150 Music Edition (Or any other MBW-150 for that matter)?
I'm asking this question because if i charge my watch based on the battery status shown during the charging process. The battery shows as full within some 1~2 hrs but it does not last long enough.
However, if i keep it overnight for charging, the battery stays full for the next day till i get back home at around 5:30pm. (The watch is off the charger at 6:30am) It won't last for another day if i don't do this overnight charging process again. It'll die out on me somewhere around 1:00pm.
Can someone please explain the correct method to charge my watch and why its battery does not last for 7 days as claimed by SE? (Yes, I do use SmartwatchM app with my X2).
Does my watch have the battery problem most MBW-150's have? But doesn't that problem totally render the watch inoperable right after taking it off the charger? Mine works perfectly if i follow the overnight charging method. But i guess it isn't safe for the life of the battery?
Please help me find the answer. Thanks in advance to all who help.
Common Devians, no one here who has info on this?
Clip the charger on and thats it.
The manual states "two hour minimum charge time" but I would leave it for four hours.
As to your lack of battery life, that is one of the two common issues with our watches unfortunately. That, and the OLED display that dims over time until it is unreadable.
Your problem can be fixed for around $20 (US)
Just google search "MBW-150 battery"
The other issue apparently nobody has tackled... yet.
Hi, does anyone have a spare charger for the MBW 150? I've just bought the watch brand new, but without the charging adaptor...
-_-
Or does anyone know where to get it?
Thanks!
My problem's stranger. At first, I thought it might be the battery, like so many other threads on the net. However, after replacing the it with a new one, the watch still acted like it wasn't even there, even after a full 24 hr charge. My guess is that somehow I bought a unit with a bad charging circuit. That'll teach me to trust some shady guy on eBay
Sorry to bump a thread this old but does anyone have the pinout of the charging clip, I need to find a way to charge my watch without it...

[Q] expected battery life ?

I had to exchange my note earlier because there was a weird bug with it but I got the new one and it seems to be working fine. However the only problem with this one is that it just feels like the battery life is shorter than I remember it. Maybe it is just me but I wanted to know from other people what their battery life was in order to see if I need to send my unit to Samsung to repair or this is normal. I never got a chance to test my battery life in my old unit but in this one I use some Samsung battery monitor. I think G-sam battery monitor. So when looking at the results I am getting roughly around 4 hours or actual screen time. That just seems a lot lower to me than what I expected and it feels like I can't consistently use it for the whole day without the battery getting really low. I keep my brightness low at around 15% and it is updated to the latest version. Also I did a system restore to test if it was apps and even with like 5 apps installed the battery is still really low. Clash of clans for example drops the battery and heats up my unit really fast (like a percent a minute just about) Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
bump
anyone?
I use it all day at work. Generally have about 40 to 50% left at end of the day. Battery usage is much higher if you use spen a lot, though.
Mine was the same way for a while. It used to last around 9 hours when I first got it. I charged mine every day for about a year and I think the battery just goes after a while. I ended up buying a new battery for about 60 dollars. Mine would heat up and shut down after playing games. After replacing battery it doesn't do that anymore. They have cheaper ones but I went with one that was a little more money and it was guaranteed for 1 full year or you're money back. Now I get about 6 hours of playing games and way more if I watch movies or listen to music. I don't even have to charge everyday anymore. I was going to buy a new tablet but I figured since I payed so much for this one I wanted to try with a new battery first. Battery's don't last forever. I bought on ebay and I think the name was new power 99. I might have even bought from there site. Ithink was easy to replace and comes with a DVD to show you how. Some games use a lot more power then others and clash of clans will use a lot cause there is so much going on in the game. I play gameloft games and some of them use a lot of power also.

faulty battery after 1.5 year of usage?

hi i have G3 32GB for about 1.5 year i had no reboots until 3 days ago when they started. I had two to three reboots a day mostly when answering calls shoud i change the battery?
Ive seen the batterys go out completley all of a sudden a year ago so from the standards ive seen with this battery ure in good shape try booting into safe mode for the day see if its a rogue app or tweaks if ure rooted
Last month the same happenend to me. Constantly reboots. Your problem will get worse and worser. Battery was only 1 year old. Ordered a new one and problems are gone. Juste get a new battery!
Regards
Had the same trouble with an S3 Mini, went through 3 batteries within a few month. Though it was a known issue, though not such a widespread problem with different brands of phones I don't think but yeah random reboots are a sure sign of a dud battery. Do the spin test on a flat, smooth surface. Not sure how to do this?
1: Remove the battery from your phone after turning it off & unplugging it.
2: Set it face down on a flat, smooth surface and spin it.
If it spins like a top it means it's bulging and thus a dud and you should replace it immediately with an official branded battery direct from LG to ensure maximum lifespan and authenticity.

Battery drain while powered off and on-Please help!

New here and new to Android. I'll try to make this as brief as possible:
Two weeks ago I purchased a used "refurbished" Galaxy Tab S 8.4 with Lollipop installed. I very much wanted to try to make the slow but gradual switch from iOS and thought this would be a good place to start.
Battery life is horrendous compared to iPad. Here is the issue broken down:
Powered on. Battery drains at the rate of 1 percent an hour in standby.
Powered OFF. Battery drains at the rate of 1 percent an hour.
Powered on and using for web, video, etc (no games). Battery drains at the rate of ~10 percent every 15 minutes or so.
What I've done:
Wifi OFF except when in use
Location services OFF
Sync OFF
Bluetooth OFF
Screen at just below 50 percent
Wakelock detector finds some activity (mostly Android battery "WLAN" monitor stuff)
Did full restore
Most importantly: I REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH A BRAND NEW ONE and am seeing nearly identical drains as I did with the stock battery that was two years old
I have scoured the internet, rooted the device to try to kill any rogue activity, and "reseated" the battery connector 3 times.
Can anyone tell me WHY this battery is losing one percent an hour while completely powered off?
One clue is that, with everything turned off (listed above) the battery drain is nearly identical when off as it is when it is "sleeping" which would indicate...well, something.
I'm frustrated that I have been focused on fixing this issue rather than enjoying my "new" Tab S.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
EDIT: I have read through other batter drain threads here and, although others share similar problems, don't have an answer. Maybe there is no answer?
I had a similar battery drain (when the device was off) 1.5 years ago with my couple of months old tablet. Had to take it to warranty repair twice, on the second attempt they changed the battery connector and the power circuit (if I remember correctly), and that was enough to fix the problem.
If the tablet drains the battery while completely off, it's clearly a hardware issue.
I'm thinking hardware has to be the culprit too, at this point. Very frustrating as this is a used tablet and out of warranty. I have done everything possible to try and get decent battery life out of this thing to no avail. I'm loving android but have a bad taste in my mouth as to their hardware. Should I keep or just get a couple hundred bucks on ebay? I'd be thrilled with this if the battery life came anywhere near the iPad mini.
The 8.4" is known for having a problem with the battery connector (maybe flexing of the case makes it loosen), some people have soldered the battery wires directly to the motherboard and say it fixed the problem, Samsung knows there is a problem with the battery connector according to some service centers, one service center actually fitted a more heavy duty connector to fix one problem according to what i read.
John.
I would contact the seller and try to return it and then get one from a different seller.
~ Assuming you didn't buy from some random ebay seller who has fake rating >.<
Hi,
I've been using this Tab S since July 2014 and been very pleased of it.
I only use it every night for Web browsing or watching movies.
Not any games or any social network or anything draining the battery.
Average autonomy was around 7 to 8 hours.
9 months ago it has started to drain a little bit more and especially when off (totaly off, not in sleep mode)
Before that event I was turning it off at night and 24 hours later the battery level was exactly the same. (zero percent of drift)
Then it started to suck a little bit every day: 1%, 2%, 3% each 24 hours when completly OFF.
First thing I've done was to make a wipe cache/data and restore to factory settings from recovery mode.
It didn't help.
Then Samsung released Lolipop Upgrade so I did it.
It didn't help any more.
So I ordered a new battery to an official dealer and replaced it.
You know the answer.... didn't help.
Then Marshmallow has come and I did it.
.... idem.
So as electronics and automation technician I am, I decided myself to do some measurements.
I opened the Tab S and checked battery voltage when off every hour with a high accuracy Fluke D.M.M.
And I found that it was loosing ~34mV every 24 hours, which makes the 3% loss.
(Boring calculations just for knownledge : LiPo Vmax 4350mV - LiPoVmin 3200mV = 1150mV corresponding to 100% capacity.)
First thing I did after that was to make the same check but with battery disconnected to the Tab S.
And you know what? not even a mV drained in 24 hours when not connected to Tab S PC Board!
Then I measured the resistance between + and - socket on the PC board : value between 800KOhms and 1,2MOhms.
Same values when I crossed the wires.
Theses values are too low, I should have found many many MOhms.
I've also checked the battery connector that some other guys said it was loosy or bad soldered: that's not the case but I've soldered it.
same problem.
MY CONCLUSION: it's a hardware problem.
Maybe it's a drifting component, probably a capacitor which as lost insulation, or a defective diode.
Unfortunately I don't have the diagrams of this Tab S and can't diagnose it.
Is there on XDA any guy from Samsung Tech Support who can help me?
No answer?
Anybody has Galaxy Tab S 8.4 diagrams?

i had the same issue Android – Marshmallow Android – Lollipop etc battery life sucks on the upgrades.. The battery would not last more than 3/4 hours, it was a pure joke. Best thing is to downgrade to KitKat XXU1ANF8 since my downgrade battery easily last a few days of heavy use.

Battery Failing?

Hi, I bought my wife a used 2014 edition some months ago and it seemed to work great but the battery didn't last very long. Recently I started playing a few games on it and realized that the problem was worse than I thought. It would say it was at say 60% but after 5 minutes playing a game it would go into power saving mode and be at around 14%. So I bought a new battery and it does the exact same thing! When I go into the battery setting it doesn't show anything using much power but something drains the battery as soon as you use it for almost anything.
Has anyone seen this before. If it doesn't tell me what app is draining the battery, how can I fix this? thanks
you are preaching to the choir. this is a big problem with these. the batteries are honestly easy enough to change but it is pretty much impossible to find an actual samsung replacement. they are all cheap knock offs that cant handle the voltages of the tablet which causes its own set of problems. I got one and it does help get more out of it but when you do anything too intense especially with less than 60% the thing will just shut off. total bummer. there are a lot of batteries out there just be careful of what you buy. and if you find a good replacement let us know!
I found a thread that seems to attribute this to faulty battery connection to the motherboard and someone who can weld can fix the problem. Has anyone else had success with this? thanks

As graffix31 said, this is a common issue. If you contact Samsung, they should be able to tell you where you can get a direct factory replacement battery (if they are even available still). Other than that, all you can really get is aftermarket ones that, like graffix31 said, can't handle heavy loads. I can vouch for that myself. Replacing my battery was definately an improvement over the old battery. I still have some issues though, but I've found ways to avoid them. If you are rooted, with any cpu management app, you can shut down 1 of the cores and reduce the maximum output of the others. This prevents mine from overloading the battery. It isn't ideal, but it works.
