ADB fastboot not working. - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

I flashed a firmware less miui 10 with twrp. It was ok but the camera was not working. I went to custom recovery but saw that twrp was overwritten by mi-recovery. I thought of loading twrp through fastboot but my device is not listed in adb devices. What to do? Please help.
The option to change to MTP is not showing. The phone is simply charging. I tried turning usb debugging on and off and installing wpdmtp.inf but no help.

If your computer has drivers installed, it may be a problem with your phone system.
Is your bootloader unlocked?
If unlocked, power off your phone. Then hold POWER and VOLUME(-) for about 11 seconds to enter fastboot mode.
You can flash dummy.img first to temporary bypass ARB.
And then you can flash twrp recovery.
Use twrp to backup all your needed data.
Because of the ARB, do flashing by recovery is not recommended.
You can download MiFlash to do a clean flash.(Don't lock the bootloader)

[LG-D855] Can't flash TWRP - boots into fastboot mode (tried adb, Flashify, TWRP app)

I've been trying to flash TWRP recovery to my rooted LG G3 D855 (running 4.4.2 KitKat). I used the "Bump" method (thread) since I don't have an unlocked bootloader.
I tried the ADB method in that thread, I tried the Flashify method, and I tried the Official TWRP App. Each time, the recovery flashed correctly. But when I attempted to reboot into recovery (using the method in the linked thread, or in the case of the apps, they prompted me to reboot into recovery), my phone didn't bring up TWRP recovery or even the stock recovery. It just brings up "fastboot mode started". It's not stuck though, it boots normally when I pull the battery and power on.
I also separately tried rebooting it into fastboot mode with it plugged into my computer. When I entered "adb devices" into the command prompt, the device came up. Then I rebooted it into fastboot mode and entered "fastboot devices" - then nothing came up. I entered some other fastboot commands and it said "< waiting for device >". So it appears I can't issue normal fastboot commands either.
Any thoughts on how I can succesfully flash TWRP? Thanks.
i have installed my TWRP via this app -- https://ulozto.sk/!lisJevpDG1oS/recovery-d722l-apk
try hope itll help you
Well, somehow you failed to install it. Upgrade to LP (preferably v21C) and try this

Firmware Update

Recently i've unlocked my bootloader in order to install a custom ROM. Everything went fine until i flashed twrp image. Whenever i try to get into recovery ( power+vol up ) it pops a window saying "Firmware Update". In the cmd log it says that recovery flashed successfully. I've enabled OEM unlocking and adb in the dev settings. BL is unlocked. Device was connected to the PC at the moment of flashing ( obviously ) aswell as at the moment of entering the recovery.
Please help me find a solution, thanks.
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and then enter recovery by holding power + vol down (to get into bootloader) and then choose recovery mode and enter.
Exactly what Przemcio said. Flash the TWRP from your PC using fastboot, and then boot into it from the bootloader. I never use Pwr+Vol_Up, I always use Pwr+Vol_Dn to get into whatever I want.
Vol up is for LG Flash tools only.
I flash recovery via fastboot. Press vol down
Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
yeah, it's orange encrypted and now i have to decrypt.
i just can't bypass this message "your device cannot be checked for corruption". Whenever i try to choose the recovery this pops up and then phone reboots. I flashed stock google image for nexus 5x and it didn't solve the issue, nor fomratting data thru adb.

No ROM, No Recovery, No Fastboot or HBOOT ! Help Please

So basically what happened is that i flash a bad rom on my htc a5dwg. I could boot into TWRP 2.8.7.0 and flashed roms through ADB sideload but all gave me some error and were not flashing. So i flashed TWRP 3.1.1 img. Now i cant Access recovery, nor power and vol down button take me to HBOOT or Fastboot mode. Cant reboot to rom. Stuck at boot screen with HTC logo and the unlocked bootloader warning. I connected my phone to laptop and it does show up in device manager as MTP USB device but i cant use fastboot or ADB commands as it does not show up in the Fastboot ADB device options, Some help would be highly appreciated.
i am having the same problem have you found any way out yet?

partially bricked

I can get my Zenfone 2 up to the fastboot screen, but no further.
Under PC device manager is shows "Android-Phone" as the device, but no drivers loaded.
I've tried a few different drivers, but even though they seem to install OK, "Android-Phone" (in device manager) still won't show as having a driver.
Some threads say I have to enable Android Debugging, but how to do that when the ONLY screen I can get on the phone is fastboot??
Help???
Boowho??
You can try this.
1. Uninstall all drivers for phone you installed on PC, then reboot.
2. Disable antivirus on PC then install standard Intel android device usb drivers. You can download them from Asus website. Then reboot again.
3. Connect phone to PC in fastboot mode.
4. In the device manager you should see "Asus android device" under which "Asus android bootloader interface".
5. Check connectivity in minimal adb & fastboot software (you can get it from XDA) by command "fastboot devices" without quotes. It should answer "some number<space>fastboot".
If all is ok then you can flash raw stock firmware in fastboot mode & update it to latest version OR unlock bootloader, flash TWRP & install custom rom.
Thank you Sanesh. I got all the img/bin files successful now. However, the ZF2 has this issue when you select recovery from bootloader screen it gives dead android. You can then (extra step) hold power and VOl + and get into stock recovery. This is a flaw in the original firmware, I think.
BUT, this extra step is causing TWRP not to be entered. Stock recovery is OK, but not TWRP.
I had to recover the phone using the SOC drivers; before that TWRP worked perfectly.
Thanks
Have you unlocked bootloader ? Unlock bootloader first then flash twrp using giovix92 method. Then reboot to recovery.
Thanks. Turned out I was using a twrp image that is only for marshmallow. I still use lollipop. Every thing is now back to where it was before I had to recover the thing using the SOC method.
Lesson learned. un-root before trying to upgrade to MM.

No OS is installed. Moreover recovery cannot be accessed. Nor can flash it via adb.

Previously I was using Ressurection Remix treble rom which is based on android 9 pie. I went to TWRP and wiped the OS. Then I tried to install a new rom called Dot OS. But it showed error 7. So I flashed Vendortofactory zip within twrp and without rebooting again into TWRP I flashed a new TWRP image within TWRP by selecting Recovery mode. After that I cant boot into TWRP and as already my OS is gone I also cannot boot into any system. Moreover my device is not getting detected in my PC. I cannot install TWRP by writing commands in cmd, while the phone is in fastboot mode as the device is not getting detected in my pc. Really it is urgent. I will be glad if someone helps me. Thanks in advance.
What is the present booted state of your device? Are you in twrp, or bootloader. Most of the time you can keep on pressing the power button. When it boots into a message about unlocked bootloader, press volume button to select recovery and it will boot into twrp
You should be able to boot in fastboot mode without recovery nor os, maybe your drivers are not working on windows? Try different usb ports, check if the display says "bootloader" or something. If nothing works try the usb shunt, this device is literally 'unbrickable' if it's working properly.
Watch this video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DexLELi04XY) and then you will be able to detect your phone in your pc in qcom 9008 mode , then use qfil to flash ZUI firmware ,there are plenty of tutorials on the internet for that ,then follow the proper procedure mentioned in DotOs thread for flashing the new rom .
Hope it helped .
If you don't want to flash the firmware and all long process just follow the following steps
Enter in to the boot loader make sure you installed all the drivers in to pc then open cmd windows in adb fastboot folder and enters the following cmd into the cmd
Fastboot -i 0x2b4c devices this will detect your device
After that enter
Fastboot -i0x2b4c flash recovery recovery name.img
And boom you are good to go flash the rom of your choice and enjoy
For this process you need following files
Adb and fastboot devices
Drivers of zuk z2
Latest recovery and place revovery image file into the adb and fastboot folder if you are confused about anything pm me i am not the expert but i faced simillar problem and solved by this method

This assumes u have upgraded bootloader to 4.4 kernal.
U can still boot into twrp.. When the phone is booting up press vol up key and select recovery.. From there boot into twrp. There select f2v or v2f .. Then flash twrp which u want to flash.. Reboot to recovery.. U will get promp no os installed.. Ignore and reboot to recovery . Then again d9 f2v or v2f depending on what rom to install.. Again reboot to recovery... Then flash rom of ur choice.
This procedure is needed when changing from vendor to factory and vice versa.
