Is it possible to root the Galaxy Note 10+ N957U in the US yet? IF so, link to the thread?
I am sorry if this is old but I only trust this site and I've been away from the Android scene for a few years now. Thank you for your time!
No, not possible. I think there might be a thread that was started for a bounty to get some Dev to work on it but I seriously doubt it would/cod happen. These Snapdragon devices are ironclad. A European model can be rooted.

Am seriously considering this for my next phone. Does anyone know if any devs will soon be supporting this device? I'm not one to have blind faith.

I doubt it. If you want roms, you should look at the HTC one, gs4 or note 2. This phone isn't popular enough probably because it launched so close to the other big ones and is only available on att.

Thank you. Even though that's not the answer I wanted.
Devs are already working on this phone. It's only a matter of time...

I dunno. @thecubed doesn't own this phone and @designgears mentioned that he bought it because of the locked bootloader, implying be didn't want to flash stuff. Then again, he essentially let cubed brick his phone so apparently his addiction still had him in a strangle hold.
It will happen, but how long and when it does how many roms will we see.
I'm mainly looking for the ability to restore my phone if I bootloop which I already have.

Is there a root method for the AT&T Note 8 available? And if so where may it be found?
Yes I did a search but only root methods for international models were found.
Thanks.
I have the same question. I have searched this forum and google, but have not found a way of rooting the AT&T Note 8. I'm hoping its just a matter of time.
have you tried CF-Root?

I have and none of the three exploits that were listed worked.
Thanks for the idea though.
Looking for the same.
Look like Framaroot work but not for the AT&T version?
I have looked at the Framaroot threads but the AT&T Note 8 is not listed as rootable using this exploit. While the cpu and a general Note 8 compatibility it certainly isn't clear that the SGH-1467 is included.
Thank you for your suggestion and willingness to assist.

You were able to use CF-Auto-Root on an AT&T SGH-I467 Note 8? Which version did you use?
GT-N5100: CF-Auto-Root-kona3g-kona3gxx-gtn5100.zip
GT-N5110: CF-Auto-Root-konawifi-konawifixx-gtn5110.zip
GT-N5120: CF-Auto-Root-konalte-konaltexx-gtn5120.zip
Thanks

Well, I'm like everybody else. Where is root for this AT&T Note 8.0? I know somebody must be working on it. I'll make a monetary donation!:good:
Bump
I would be happy to donate money and help with beta testing if someone is working on this. I have a I467 (konalteatt) that can be used for testing.
Thanks,

Neopwn- Please confirm you rooted an AT&T Note 8, and what version you used to root.
This would be great.
Thanks
It doesn't work... failed on recovery, I think they were talking about the wifi verson.
Can the *NEW* AT&T SGH-i257 VoLTE(HD Voice) released on 5/23/2014 be rooted?
I have seen root methods for other SGH-i257 variants, but not certain that will fly on this recent iteration.

I received mine a few days ago. It is a great device for it being a little aged spec wise. It has been a while since I have messed with a Samsung device. Reading up this knox thing seems to be a huge pain in the rear.

Yeah I played with the demo at the store I liked it alot and ordered a new one on eBay because of the size, and spec wise it is pretty decent due to the size and it supports microSD I am very happy. Yeah I miss the good ole days with Sammy when boot loaders were unlocked, but AT&T and other carriers forcing their hand

If I had a few more tools and was more up to date I would do it. Unfortunately I have always relied strongly on the skills of the members here. I know someone will be through here in a bit after the phone has a little more exposure. It looks like we probably do need a few files that are more specific to this device. 1 thing I already noticed is that some variants of this device do not have a notification light.

Now can we install twrp on this phone? ?
Here is the dump I pulled when I got my phone today. I know about our locked bootloaders but was hoping some of our devs could still use it for something.

Thank you! Now let's see what xda can do!!!
I still have a sealed one in the box. How should I get said dump if needed?

I understand that, I hate that I'm having to load this phone up with at&t's junk because the person that wants to buy it wants it to have at&t's bloat because she actually uses it.
Please fix link download,thanks
I bet that Android N will be released before At&t pushes M for the Note 5. Any takers?
