Is it difficult to make a flashable zip of ones stock .kdz file for easy factory restore? That would be nice cause then you could just flash stock recovery with flashify or something afterwards and you would be all set right?
Great work :good:
Tested now...

Working Fine !
Could I get a more in depth explanation as to what this can do and what its capable of doing..Im a NOOB

theoretically it can, but since i do the ripping the content without knowing a whole structure of file and what method of splitting large partition into small parts,
that make it difficult to wrap it back

It must be very useful by convert kdz into tot.
Replace all content in a tot file (such as vs980 11A) which can be found in another kdz file (such as vs980 12B), then we can get a new tot file. Does the new tot file work?
Good job

Error with F320S kdz
It cant extract F320S11K_00.kdz, detect negative number file size. Although I could use the python to extract it fine. Strange that your tool works well with F320K11_00.kdz, maybe there's error with file size detection.
You can have the kdz here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=36
(the last one of Korean variant - SKT/SK). Or simplicity this link: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/tool.php?idclick=8776

can you please add G Pro KDZ support? or is there a link that can convert G Pro KDZ to TOT?
when using modified thecubed's python script i can only extract a DZ file from its KDZ. the extracted DZ cannot be recognized by this tool.
A bit out off topic..
Can you please take a look at LG Backup .lbf files..
Any chance for an extractor and/or compressor?
Thanks

the lbf file is using double compressing with custom data on it you can extract it using winrar, you will lose some of important lbf information if you just extract the data

Just find some flashable kernel, look up the META-INF / com / google / android / updater.script (open in notepad++)
package_extract_file("modem.img", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/modem");
that should do it , the modem.img or whatever you want to name it has to be inside the zip

Really appreciate your help, my modem is .bin how could i convert it to .img?
2 options
1. Just instead of modem.img in command line put "modem.bin"
2. Rename your modem.bin to modem.img

You can extract the img file using a kitchen, like SuperR's: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ap...chen-superr-s-kitchen-v1-1-50-v2-1-6-t3597434
It's only free on GNU/Linux. If you're using Windows, you'll need the donate version of the kitchen. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ap...dows-linux-superr-s-kitchen-v3-0-0-0-t3601702
