Hi Folks,
Going to vegas this month, first time in the states. Coming from the UK.
I have seen quite a lot of Hmm's and Ahh's with the note's camera, I know its not the best but I do like it. I see their is a few options for lenses and cages, I know their is a cage from Beast Grips and lenses too. Although they are quite expensive!
Want to take a few photo's and video's while I am in vegas, anybody got any attachments for their camera's? Any lenses etc? Or would anybody Vouch for the Beast Grips accessories?
Many thanks
S

there are many times when im sure a wide angle lens can come in handy. the lens of the stock camera is rather narrow.
i know i wouldnt mind a wider lens anyways, or rather the option of one
If you have a loupe (The magnifying lens used for inspecting jewlery), that can be used as a macro lens easily.
Hey Guys I want to purchase a macro lens for my Galaxy Note. So can you guys please help me which macro lens is the best and from where i can buy it online in USA? Thanks in Advance.
Interesting post... I've been looking for something like this for my Galaxy S III, for about 2-3 months, and ended in no result.
Only found for iPhone 4/4S... (-sigh-).
I wonder if they can be adapted to the Note/Galaxy S3 camera.
have you people seen gummi/gummy lenses? pretty cheap for the cost and the photo quality is pretty decent too.
members have posted some pics taken with them in the 'post pics taken with your note' section.
http://easy-macro.com/ is where I got mine from. It fits great, other than that it will press the volume up button down while it is on. But that isn't really a problem since I never needed it while I used the camera.
I was able to take this picture with it. It is a close up shot of my Bearded Dragon's eye: http://i.imgur.com/gTypW.jpg
I have noticed Samsung came out with a camera phone in a more literal sense. But, I'm curious as to why the custom lenses are not a more popular item? Being able to change out the lens on my phone as I need to would add a huge level of customization and not too mention make the companies more money. Especially for well made premium lenses.
We've all seen the clips and attachments on Amazon or other websites. But, none of them are really thought out well. The clip moves around easily. The cases are ugly and useless for anyone who wants a protective case.
A lot of the lenses have defects even if they are small. Sure these items are cheap. But, that is my point. I spent some time looking and always got sent back to these ones. There's no higher end models nothing. I'd assume that would be because this idea is perceived as gimmicky. But, it's really not. Give me the ability to take a small plastic ring off my phone around the camera and attach my own custom lenses. You could charge oodles for higher tier lenses too.
Would reduce all the stuff I have to carry around with me everywhere for my camera.
Any thoughts as to why they don't support or carry their own custom lenses? The camera being an important feature for many of us on our phones. An improvement/addition like this I cannot see anything but perks of.
you should check sony qx10 and qx100
Either you have to carry your phone in a case with the lens attached, or take it out of your pocket and put on a lens each time you want to use it. Much easier to use a zoom-enabled digital camera, and the quality of photos is between better and much better. I always wondered why are they even produced. Yeah, I use my phone camera once in a while, but if I care enough to take a photo, I have a Canon rebel.
Hello, I' here yet again with another set of questions!
I am planning on using my OP3T to make short movies. It has a great powerful camera competing Galaxy S8 and Iphone7 so why not use it, right?
I am currently looking for rather cheap but quality equipment such as mounts and lenses. (I own a tripod, light and mic already).
I came across some really cheap stuff on ebay: Flexible tripod, 5-in-1 lens set, 8-in-1 lens set...
I have no expirience with those lenses... Are those clip ons any good? Could someone point me to the ones you think are the best sets?
I've been searching alot and i don't wanna buy some crap, so any shared expirience will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
I have some really cheap clip on lens and they're of really bad quality. The lens used is very bad. If you want good ones maybe buy Aukey or Mpow lens. Btw the wide angle and 12x lens are kinda okay. Fisheye is really bad. Macro was the best out of them.
Sorry I'm afraid your wrong go for the s7 edge if you want to make small films
There are many posts but no real examples and feedback after purchases... Can please someone post stock vs Moment samples and share experience is this worth to spend money for case lens etc.?
What I have understood that this lens trend is downhill at moment and new cameras are making them obsolete.
I'd be curious to see some comparison photos as well. But this isn't because I'm interested in purchasing one (and I don't feel that many folks here are/were interested in purchasing them either). But I would be interested because after a 'Moment' (ahaha) of googling these things to see what they even were, I discovered that the setup would cost around $200!!! Yikes!
I feel like a case and camera lens that costs 1/4 - 1/5 of the phone's launch price better allow the user to take some dang good photos for it to be worth it, haha. So, if anyone took the dive, please share some comparison photos if you can! I'm curious to see the difference - because at that price the difference better be significant!
Thanks in advance!
I bought a slighly cheaper but "good" lens and it was terrible cant remember the brand but its one of the better brands with good reviews. Was 60dollar on sale and it was 59 dollar to much. Maybe moment lenses work on certain phones where its perfectly adjusted to the lens on the camera but i would avoid without testing first.
Phone picturres "aren't bad", but since I had a lot of money tied up in my d-slr over the decades, I'll stick with that. The best camera, is the one you have with you, but, if I purposely want to take photos of something, I just grab my camera backpack.
