Apps not auto updating - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

My apps are not automatically updating. I have to open Playstore go to my apps and manually update. Ideas? Checked battery optimization already.

Turn on Auto Update in Play Store->Settings->Auto Update Apps

How does automatic update of market apps work?

How does automatic update of market apps work?
I have a few apps that have the automatic update option checked, but I still have to start the update process manually to update them to the latest version...

Yes, that's how it works. It's more of a notification thing, taking in to account permissions can change and all that.
A fully automatic update would be great, but I don't think that's normal practice on any platform (or is it?)
Thank you! I didn't consider possible permission changes of applications, that makes sense.
Where should notifications appear? I'm not getting any, having the market either running in background or completely off...

It seems like a joke... The next day after I posted this question I got the notification and the automatic update of applications started on its own... Strange...

Uninstall Netflix.
Force stop Market, (and netflix if running in the background.)
Clear Data on the Market.
Install Netflix.
Problem Solved.

Auto stop app?

Is there any app that can stop apps from auto running. In background I tried rom toolbox but it sucks when I disable apps in auto manager.
Any help?

I think this should be on Q&A, not sure.
Anyway, try Autostarts from Play Store.
You must search here:
https://play.google.com/store
Autostarts
Autostarts, it's a paid app in the play store. Amazing app! After a flash its my first app downloaded right after titanium backup
I also use Autostart, it is a great way to stop apps from auto-running in the background!
But wich Autostart ? On Google Playstore we have two apk: One from Michael Elsdörfer, and other from Cyberhorse.
Wich is right ?

i recommand using app called "fast reboot" its not auto but its a 1 click thing
also u can use the go launcher task manager
it has n auto stop option and also the one click thing that stops all running apps.
its great and im using it
no u dont need go launcher 2 run it
in my opinion u must not force close apps as it restarts and drain more battery.
android manages the background apps very efficiently

Disabeling the outo update feature in google search

Personaly I am not a fan of the latest google search(2.0). I don't like that the option is gone to not search the internet right from the first insterted charracter, and that I have to click an extra time in order to get to see the results from within my tablet itself(contacts, 3rd party apps). Anyway. I therefore installed the previous version of google search(1.3). But altrough I didn't check the auto update box in the play store for google search(I double checked) it still updates itself to the latest version almost every day. Would there be anyone who would know a way to stop google search from auto updating itself?
If your rooted you can freeze the app with titanium backup.

Thanks, however when I freeze the app, I won't be able to use it any more, or will I? Because I do want to use it, I just don't want it to update to the latest version.
