I have an Nvidia Shield Pro (2015 model) that is on experience 7.0 and is rooted. I have had it put away for over a year and just brought it out again.
I am trying to upgrade the firmware but I get s"System Upgrade has stopped" when it boots up and if I go into the About/System Upgrade has stopped.
I don't care about losing root but can someone help me to get updated to the latest firmware.
Thanks,

There has been a firmware upgrade waiting to be installed since 12/12 on my international version 7100. Coincidentally, or not, that's when I entered the phone's country of origin again, so the upgrade may have been available for much longer.
Has anyone successfully installed it without breaking anything, and could tell me what version of Android it is? I am currently on 4.4.2, guess it's too much to hope for 5, so it's likely just 4.4.4?
Usually, I don't think twice about firware upgrades, and just dl and install, but my Note II is paired with a Gear S, and I am a bit worried the upgrade may break connectivity or functionality.
I recently purchased an SM-T900 and I'm a little confused about what voids the warranty and prevents updates from Samsung. I like using TWRP recpvery for backing up my tablet and from what I've read it seems I can root my tablet and install TWRP and still get the 5.1.1 upgrade when it's released so long as I don't install a custom ROM. Is this correct?
I bought my T900 second hand so I'm not concerned with the actual warranty. But I am concerned with getting 5.1.1 which Samsung says will be available "early" 3Q. I'm hoping "early = July mid = August and late = Sept". In that case I can afford to wait for 5.1.1 and then root and install TWRP.
But thanks for your answer. If 5.1.1 didn't appear imminent, I'd try it your way.
I bought LG G3 D858HK (10f) 32GB 4G LTE Dual SIM from eGlobal Central just over 1 year ago and it came with Android Version 4.2.2, and since then it hasn't updated, even though it is set to auto update; nor will it update manually. I tried several times over the year to update it manually, but just keep getting a message each time saying; "you are using the latest software version for current OS." I also tried rooting it, which worked twice; then tried to upgrade to marshmallow (4 times) following these instructions from Technographics Blogspot and each time it goes through all the motions smoothly without even a hitch from start to finish, but when I checked it still shows Android Version 4.2.2, and also reverts back to the unrooted state.
Has anyone got any ideas why it won't update, not holding the marshmallow firmware upgrade and the rooting?
I purchased a Galaxy Note 5 from eBay. It came with Android 5.1.1, i have tried doing a software update but says i have the latest software. I have tried updating through Samsung Smart Switch but says my device is not supported. I have read other people have updated to Android 6 but it will not update mine. Is there anything else i can do? My device is the N920A. Thanks
You need to have an (activated) AT&T SIM Card in the phone before you can get OTA updates on an AT&T model - that really stinks doesn't it? !!!
However if you are willing to do a factory reset and use ODIN to flash the firmware upgrade, you can get the July 6.0.1 Marshmallow update form here:
http://www.androidsage.com/2016/06/...5-to-n920aucu2bpe6-android-6-0-1-marshmallow/
I am in Canada and was wondering if it would work to get a AT&T pay as you go sim card for the phone and then do the update over wifi?
Have now done the upgrade and running Marshmallow, thanks for your help
Good to hear ... did you use Odin or did you find an AT&T SIM for OTA update?
You can also apply all the OTA updates using ADB sideload (but that factory resets your handset every time, so do a full backup with Smart Switch PC app beforehand)
I have a Samsung sm-j337v on Verizon that I have been mostly happy and productive with until the forced OTA Pie 9.0 upgrade. Since the upgrade, the phone is noticeably slower and multitasking is a real pain in the rear.
I'd love to go back to the Oreo that the phone shipped with, but don't know if that's possible. As far as I understand it, doing a factory reset will simply leave me with a clean slate version of the currently installed version of Android which is 9.0.
Is there any way to accomplish this or am I stuck with
Hey, You can use odin to downgrade your phone on oreo but did you try a factory reset before go back to oreo ?
If you really want oreo try this fimware : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=6006931924117896042
