I have MIUI_XiaomiEU_Stable_10.3.4.0_FIXED installed for a few month. The phone was working but was occasionally restarting spontaneously.
I had this problem also on stock rom.
Today the phone rebooted into twrp recovery and will not boot into system again.
When turned on it boots to twrp. I can als manually get it to boot to fastmode.
I can properly boot to system after I boot into fastboot and do "fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-dees_troy-daisy.img" .
Any advice on how to fix it ?
What go corrupted ?
Can I fix it by flashing twrp-3.3.1-dees_troy-daisy.img ?
p.s I had the same problem 6 weeks ago. I wiped everything and flashed stock rom using Miflash. I want to avoid it and keep my data if possible.
I'm not sure what's causing the issue, as it might be ROM related, because you said yourself that you had spontaneous reboots on MIUI. But I believe the TWRP you are using might be part of the issue. You should use Offain's version of TWRP found here: https://androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=291011
Use the latest version to avoid bugs. Somehow the 'official' version of TWRP doesn't work properly. Cheers.

I wanted to share my somewhat scary experience and how I resolved it.
It started when one day I wanted to flash an updated rom using TWRP so I rebooted into recovery and TWRP all of a sudden asked for a password.
To resolve the issue I had to ODIN an older version of TWRP, fix permissions and then reinstall 2.6.30.
This got me back into TWRP and I thought all was resolved.
I then proceeded proceeded to wipe everything and even format to ensure the device was clean. I flashed the rom w/o issue and it booted up fine. After I got it all running nicely I rebooted into TWRP to make a backup. The backup was successful.
I then rebooted to system (after backup completed) and the my phone froze on the loading screen. I pulled the battery and restarted the phone and it booted into recovery mode.
I thought maybe there was a permissions issue to I did a fix permissions and rebooted to system via TWRP. Phone still froze when booting. I pulled the battery again and again it powered up into recovery mode again. I decided to wipe everything again and install an older backup that was proven to be good (which I restored previously w/o issue). It restored and rebooted fine. Then I turned off the phone and turned it back on and the damn phone booted into recovery again @#[email protected]# Rebooting to system in TWRP causes the phone to freeze, Cold booting the device boots it into recovery. So I was essentially stuck once I installed anything if I ever had to reboot the phone.
The only solution that worked was to take the stock image (included stock recovery) and root.zip and flash that to the phone. After flashing it I had to go into the stock recovery as the phone still didn't boot properly. I didn't pay much attention but the stock recovery brought up a number of errors but I was able to chose an option (sorry I don't recall what) to fix them.
After it was fixed the phone booted up w/o issue and also rebooted w/o issue. All appeared to be back to normal.
So I went and flashed TWRP again through ODIN and restored my backup and all is back to normal.
As an FYI .. I grabbed the stock image from here :

Copy & paste from the TWRP thread:
I have a weird issue and need some serious help. I flashed TWRP 3.0.0.1 last night via ODIN and my ROM wouldn't boot anymore. It gets to the boot animation screen then goes on forever. I tried fixing it by going to the TWRP version I was using before but I still faced the same issue and tried 3.0.0.0 as well and it still happens.
I am actually using a T-Mobile Marshmallow ROM and did the adoptable storage feature so that's what I'm assuming caused the issues since I couldn't unmount it before the problem popped up so I reformatted with it still in the system. Using a TMO rom with the ATT recovery worked previously so I don't think that's the problem. I also tried the CAN recovery and the TMO recovery and nope.
I also full factory wipe + wiping system + data + cache but didn't fix it as well. Some roms work like DN4 but I would rather go back to the rom I was using previously.
Anyone know what's up and how to fix this problem?
Biff corrected the issue in version 3.0.0.1....g
https://dl.twrp.me/t0lteatt/
3.0.0.1 bootloops for me too, I just flashed 2.8.7.0 instead while I wait for an update
I found out that 3.0.0-1 is 8.5M in size, making it too big to be flashed into Recovery. I had to flash 3.0.0-0 since it was 8M.
What I noticed with Version 3.0.0.1 is that it wipes out the modem as well when you do a wipe.
The reason Why, I tried it and got a Boot-loop, so I went back to 3.0.0.0 and it boot loops until I re flashed the modem.
I then Tested it again, same thing, so I went to Philz Touch Recovery and still boot-looped until I flashed the modem again.
I could be wrong, but that is what I noticed.
I rebooted my SM-T800 this morning, and it is constantly rebooting to Recovery Mode. The tablet never enters Recovery Mode, it just flashes the screen and reboots again. I have TWRP 3.0.2-1 installed.
The tablet was working OK prior to this. I was just going to update my ROM, and wanted to make a backup first. Now, my tablet is unusable.
I have seen this occur on my tablet a month or two ago, and I was able to get out of this before without wiping the tablet. However, I can't remember what I did.
Any help?
I was able to get back to Bootloader Mode, and flashed the older TWRP 3.0.2-0 onto my SM-T800 with Odin.
It allowed me to boot back to Normal Mode. However, if I reflashed TWRP 3.0.2-1 again, I would go back into Recovery Mode bootloops.
I guess I'm stuck on TWRP 3.0.2-0 for now ...
I would start over, flashing one of the stock 5.0 ROMs and then go from there.

If you have backup then Install your stock rom and its every components such as boot, recovery etc....
Or download the fastboot files from the p2 thread and flash it.
Then properly install twrp.
How can i properly install twrp?.. I mean, i think i always installed in correctly...otherwise magisk wouldn't work., right?. Because it does. I need your help. I even got Safetynet Pass and Root Apps like Root Explorer is working Fine.
Only the Flashing of Custom Roms etc fails for me... It's weird.
Okey. I just redid it like 5 Times. And i got a bit farther.. new boot animation shows up. But still blue led after it stops.
I FINALLY found the SolutioN!!! I used this https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634780916 and did the upgrades per ota. Then adb'd my twrp on my phone. And changed data to ext4. Rebooted. Activated usb debugging again. flashed twrp again(just to be sure), booted into twrp. Formatted system, data, cache, dalvik and then flashed my roms. SUCCESS <3
Hello guys.
I'm having trouble here with a friend's device.
the device simply reboots the twrp.
I already realized the flash of several rons, I also tried with the stock.
installs everything correctly, but at the time of doing the reenicialization in the system returns to twrp again.
I have already tested several versions of twrp and also did not succeed.
Has anyone ever had this problem? I'm finding it very strange, because I've been with rom for a long time and I've never had any problems like this.
What do you think it could be? and how can I resolve and re-restart correctly again?
Thank you in advance.
You flashed the stock ROM and you still have TWRP? Then something is wrong. Usually when that happens you did something wrong. So this is a good thing you are stuck in TWRP. Usually a factory reset will make it boot again. You can pull data off from TWRP before doing this (like pictures and such).
What exactly have you tried to flash (order too), and what version of TWRP are you using. The factory ROM may not have worked as well if you tried to flash the latest, without having the treble partition setup, or did not have a version of TWRP that keeps the vendor partition mounted.
We really need a few more details on what you tried to help.
If you just want to get it booting, I would try wiping everything in BluSpark's TWRP, and flash 5.1.5 OOS.
