Do all newly ordered oneplus3 units get a pre installed tempered glass protector?

Is it plastic?

It's very thin and firm... I can't know if it's plastic and I don't want to remove it to verify

Definitly.. Its plastic. Get a case its better then Tempered glass for shock.

I'm glad I stumbled on this thread. I already ordered a tempered glass protector, but it's good to know I don't need to put it on the moment I pull the phone out of the box.

The original OP3 tempered glass protector ist very easy to install :good: the pre-installed plastic screen protector helps to handle the installation without getting dust under the protector

Actually its kind of a tradition that oneplus follows by providing users with a pre applied screen protector with their every phone. SO currently the screen guard you have applied is good for scratches and stuff but better go for a bumper case as due to oneplus kind of little curved display their is not a completely proper tempered glass for it and the ones with edge to edge are not compatible with every case so just leave your screen gaurd as it is and get a bumper case.

Its plastic. I own the phone since july 2nd and protector film is so resistant to scratches ... Now even a single scratch on it

It comes with one on it, but I don't like the feel of them. So I am switching out to a tempered glass one.

the tempered glass is attached already but you would need a case, i recommend the Otter case

Screen Protectors for Mi Max 2

I have bought 3 screen protectors for my Mi Max 2, all tempered glass, 2 that cover the full front of the phone and one that covers just the screen and not one of them has fit properly. The one that just covered the screen was too narrow and on the 2 that cover the full front of the phone the holes for the navigation buttons were not properly aligned at all. Anyone come across a properly fitting screen protector?

I used screen protector from 3MK company from Poland. They fit very well and installing process is easy with their tutorials. Check them out.

Gave up on glass screen protector, you could try one with the sticker on the edges to cover the bubbles, but I find it too ugly to use.
Just use the regular old plastic protector, it's scratches and smudges easily, but it fits right in

Any link to plastic screen protectors? I haven't been able to find any on aliexpress.com... Only tempered glass protectors

Nice! I've finally found some plastic protectors on AliExpress too that are way cheaper then the one from Gearbest.

You'll see a bit of the white underneath around the cutouts and edges if you look at it from an angle like this.
Mine's the Gold back White front version.

Gorilla Glass

Is there someone who knows if the Mi Max 3 has Gorilla Glass or not ?
There is no mention made in the reviews about it.
Also in the specs. they nothing mentioned about this display glass.

It is some form of glass, it will break when dropped on its face the same way gorilla glass does, sometimes even through a glass protector, same way gorilla glass does. Why does it matter?
The max 1 had Gorilla glass and I broke it 3 times total, while having a case and glass protectors on it all the time. Don't get caught up in brand names for a piece of plastic/glass.
At this point, I am happier if I know it isn't gorilla glass.

I would say it's not gorilla, i did scratch mine in 1st hour.......... before use make sure you have put tempered glass on it

It matters for me because gorilla glass is scratch free or at least more resistant to scratches.

Let's just assume it has no gorilla glass then.

I had my suspicion when I dragged my finger across the screen.
Its waaay more smoother than Gorilla Glass. Nothing like I felt before on a phone.
But I'm worried about how durable it is. I won't use it without a tempered glass sheet

Best OnePlus 7 Tempered glass screen protectors

I'm about to buy the OnePlus 7 and I want to get a good Tempered glass screen protector for this smartphone.
For my several older smartphones I didn't have such a good experience with screen protectors in general.
Are you going to get OnePlus 7? What Tempered glass screen protector are you planning to use?

I always use rhinoshield. The preinstalled plastic protector will be sufficient until rhinoshield starts producing theirs. OnePlus tempered glass is garbage and cracks in your pocket under normal circumstances. I have a front and rear impact protection on my OnePlus 6 and the screen and back are still in perfect condition.

I like what Ultimate Shiled has to offer and went with them even though they're in the UK and I'm in the US.

I ordered the TGSP/Nylon Case bundle with my OP7 and finally got round to installing it today. As per normal, it's not an easy process to remove the protector from its backing and work out all the bubbles but now it is done I have to say that it is a good fit and once the fingerprint sensor was retrained works very well.
I used the included clear case to aid alignment and now that it is on I only have a very slight bit of lift at the top left corner which is only visible with the screen off or dark. I can live with that. Doesn't seem to clip the screen noticeably either.
As you would expect, it is fully compatible with the Oneplus cases. It is also perfect with the Spigen Liquid Air.
In short, expensive but a good fit.
**Update: A couple of gentle strokes after a couple of hours an the one bit of lift is now gone. Result.

Any good tempered glass screen protector?

Is there any tempered glass that covers edge to edge and the sides are not black?? The one I am using right now has black sides which covers viewable display area( Around 3mm from all the sides). I

The one I ordered from Aliexpress has different color variants and it fits my screen completely. I mean no touch part was left uncovered. Only the little curves on the sides.

I will be honest with you Poco F1 will be a better choice for gaming and by gaming I mean pubg. Realme 5 pro stutters when hot dropping. I use Smooth Ultra graphics settings

- to remove the film and replace it with tempered glass
- to stick the tempered glass on the current film?

Keep the current film only as long as you can find a tempered glass ... Put on the included silicon back cover. It really helps.: good:
