Hi guys, i have a friend who bought G3 not long ago, and he want to replace it with Galaxy S6. let's assume if he would, outside of lower battery, does it really hold any substantial benefit over G3?

Better processor
Better RAM
Better Software
Better Camera
Better build quality
I heard the s6 is fragile compared to g3

I would say no.
What t-shock wrote is mostly true if we compare technical specifications, but hardware benefits are not noticeable in everyday use, and software quality is matter of individual taste..

I own both devices and I will say that s6 feels a bit better that the g3
Screen and camera is the main differences
PS You're absolutely right
My cousin came from the states a few days ago and he has the s6 edge i have the s5 and g3. To be honest i didnt saw that much difference. Well the screen on edge rocks and the camera ummm. Took a pic with my s5 and ne with the edge the same position 4 seconds of difference and i cant say theres a difference. Yeah its new but for me its just that.

I'm looking at going backwards actually. From S6 to G3 (or even G4).
"Stupid!" Some would say....
"Ahh, I see what you're doing there..." others would suggest...
I've never had an iPhone (outside of work) and never will. Absolutely hate them. If I want to blend in with the mainstream 'zombie' public, I'd buy one...and so, I pledged allegiance to the Samsung Galaxy flagship on the release of the S1. I Loved the SGS1; thought the S2 (and S2 in 4G) was brilliant in every way and the best in the series. I didn't like the bubble-like screen on S3 (you cant use a screen protector properly) and the S4, S5 and S6 were getting bigger, heavier, more powerful (killing batteries quicker) and lacking in key features that I considered "important" as a user.
My complaints:
1. S6 build. It's advantageously a disadvantage...
The best thing about Samsung for me, was it wasn't Apple. It was on the andrio0d platform and the phone internally and externally was customizable to how the user saw fit. Now, you can argue the battery-encased in the shell, lack of SD card expandability and "all metal/glass" surroundings is great (you are probably an Apple fan), but to me it works against the S6....customization lacked big time. Let's not forget the S5 was dust/water resistant for a plastic back/removable battery and all ports on phone weren't covered! Also, keep these stupid nano sims for the iPhones, please...We have micro now #smallenough
2. Power/Battery:
I don't "multi-task overload" and usually only have a few apps running at the same time. Not really a big gamer outside of the occasional Angry Birds, yet I was STAGGERED learning how much my battery dropped from LIMITED use. 10 minutes looking at my phones messages and emails and 5% was gone in the blink of an eye. I can't get a full day out of it and I'm the furtherest thing from what would be considered a phone-a-holic. So again, such advantages of this phone in it's ability to cope with the most demanding apps, and graphics in high end mobile games, is biting it in the ass as its OVERLY using too much of the available battery.
3. FM radio
If you're like me, this makes you laugh the S4 and S5 had FM radio chips installed, but Samsung de-activated them. Why?! Who the f*ck knows. They present you with a ferrari and remove the engine...kinda makes it a moot point. I want to listen to live sports on radio...I can't do that unless I can tap into specific 3rd party apps and in some cases, certain times/streams aren't even available....use a LIVE FM RDS radio and it is. The S4-6+ missing this makes zero sense.
I could go on, but I won't. I will admit that in the hand, the phone feels fantastic. As did the S5. The processor of CPU/GPU are far superior, the camera is better and ultra-responsive, the UI might be new to you if you're not familiar, but easy to use. 4G speeds are SUPER fast, WIFI connectivity a breeze, but the more Samsung liken their phones to Apples and cut out common features and shorten battery lifespans, the quicker they will lose customers like me. If you add in the extra horsepower, compensate with either a bigger battery, or more efficient battery sucking less power.
For me, the G3 or G4's camera of 13 or 16MP will suffice...I'm a photographer with a great DSLR, a phone will never replace it and the RAW shooting option on the G4 (possibly G3) is a great option. The phone is a little BIG for my liking, but again, that's LG trying to copy the latest Iphone sizes for you...the GB RAM and storage are on par with market leaders at the moment and the option to use your own battery, manually reset the phone, add a SDHC card for photos/video (particular for RAW images) are just more reasons why I'll go for the option that gives you greater flexibility.
RoOSTA
Really interesting views and thoughts in this thread, gonna jump in....
Ive owned all the Samsung Devices (except the S6), IMO, samsung are pulling an Apple and the prices are starting to creep up, S6 or IPhone 6, Iphone 6+ or S6 Edge, yes its starting to happen.. Samsung are pulling their way back after the S5 flop and boy, are they letting everyone know about it.. oh and charging for it as well
Now that we have 5.0 L, I personnaly think the G3 is awesome. Its had it problems.. the OS being laggy, which Removing Smart Notice cures, the camera taking time to mature and lack of basic manual controls (EV, ISO, WB, Manual focus, Bracketing, Shutter speed etc) and LG still havent fixed the headphones hiss / distortion even after 2 massive updates (4.4 & 5.0), although there are workarounds, but I still love the G3.. why...
Beautiful Big Screen, Great Camera with one of the best OIS systems around (even better than Nokia at times), beautiful audio, great button placement, lovely sturdy robust build (even though its plastic), nice Themes and OS cutomisation, and now under Lollipop (20h), a great OS experience... lets just say I ditched my HTC One M9 for the G3.
Until they release a Tizen powered device, Ill never buy Samsung again.. because no matter how much they slim it down and dress it up.. Touchwiz is still Touchwiz and its like a kids cartoon. The camera looks impressive however, and now theyve added OIS, it seems impressive..
IMO if I was you, Ide get the G4, which is released on the 28th, which is much cheaper than an S6.
I have to buy myself a new phone in the next few days and i can't really choose between these 2. They are at the same price here in my country, cheaper than the S6, and both give me reasons why i like/don't like them. I'd buy the OP2 because of the pure android experience, i really like it, plus it has some useful tweaks, the fingerprint scanner, and the metal build. On the other hand, the G4 has that amazing camera, and the better screen. I don't really care about removable batery or the memory card, because if i'll buy the OP2 i'll buy the 64gb version, and if the battery lasts easily all day, no problem. I've read about the touchscreen and the led issues the G4 has, and those make me, somehow, stay away from the G4. Oh, and i won't get myself in that annoying invite system that OnePlus offers, there are some online shops that already have the phone.
What would you choose if you were in my place? I'm looking forward to your answers!
I personally LOVE my LG G4. I have had very little of the screen and lag issues that people were talking about (and after getting myself the 10c update I have literally no bugs at all).
I generally tell people it comes down to the users personal taste when making a decision like this, but anytime the G4 is an option I tend to lend my vote toward it. The camera, screen, sound, and the clean button setup (all being on the backside of the device) all make for a fantastic device and a wonderful user experience.
This is personally the first time in a long time I went with something that was not a Samsung as my main driver and I am SO GLAD that I did....especially now with Root Access and the ability to run Framework Modules this thing on a scale of 1 - 10 is pushing like a 12......seriously, I really do love it that much.
Good luck with your decision though and I am sure you will pick whatever device is right for you.....Just know that both are great devices so do not think I am hating on the OnePlus or anything.....no matter which way you go you are going to end up with a beautiful and power device that will be a pleasure to interact with.

I think you've made my mind. The camera, the screen and the phone itself make me choose the G4. The only problems that have been in my mind for a while are the software (the lg ux), and the display problems that a lot of lg g4 owners have seen , but hopefully this isn't a hardware problem, so it can be fixed with a software update, and if some developers will build a pure android rom for the G4, then I'll be vary happy. Oh, and thanks for your reply!
I've only had my g4 now less than a week and I must say it's a great fone and LG ux is a lot better than touchwiz which I had On my note 2. I do still miss the stylus a bit but the camera and general feel of the fone far out way the lack of stylus. I played about with aosp roms on the note2 but always ended up on tw roms so I'm looking forward to seeing how stock based roms develop here.

So, I have both phones. I couldn't decide because of the reasons you mentioned. In terms of premium the pot is way above g4. But g4 isn't bad either. I'm not so sure if I would say the g4 screen is "better". I am currently using the g4 but because a game I'm playing doesn't work well on the 2. Technically in terms of processing power they are similar. In high end stuff the 2 runs with only 2cores but the adreno430 vs 418 is ofc another story. About the camera, I can tell you it's pretty similar. I think the 2 got the right hardware, the rest is a software story. I would say the g4s cam is better but not ground breaking. But you can ask me anything. Both devices are bl unlocked and rooted. Just pm me

But they went with the SD810.
G-flex 2, 1080 p screen 3-4hSOT
M9, heating and then throttling
OP2 ? we don't know so wait for some good reviews to come out, ones that talk about real world battery life instead of useless loopback tests. No replaceable battery right. The last OPO is cheaper but there were screen tint issues with early batches. Sure, you want to be first in line for a OP2 ?
remember nexus will come out and for someone that wants pure ....given the rather lacklustre showing by flagships this year people are putting a lot of faith (too much) on the 5 inch nexus. They want an updated nexus 5 that came out in 2013. made by LG.
so get yourself some cheap phone until you are ready.

I'm really curious about the new nexus 5, and it could be an option, but i have to buy it until school starts in september, after that i don't think i'll get another chance to buy an expensive phone. So, i'll probably go for the G4, has everything i want in a phone, exept for the aosp rom, but hopefully some developers will do it.

It does make me wonder why Google can't release the nexus in time for back to school.

Hoping is a risk. How long will you wait.
AOSP means you will lose LG's camera interface as well as the image processing which plays a big part in how good the photos turn out. The G4 is one of very few android devices that has a laser auto focus and unique to the G4 the colour sensor. Where is the AOSP code to handle that. If it isn't in the AOSP rom then you will lose the functionality of fast auto focus as well as better white balance detection.
The G4 will be more premium than the nexus without a doubt but going pure has a price. If you get a carrier locked G4, you will have to wait for BL unlock and only then can AOSP roms be developed. Not happened yet but i expect BL unlock will happen in a month going by the G3.
Bottomline: if you want the G4 and its camera then you will have to settle for stock based roms.
Check out AOSP on the G3 to better understand what the tradeoffs are likely to be with the G4.
Coming from the S8+ and I could not be happier. The camera just amazes me. I forced myself this weekend to use the modes. What a great phone.
Thoughts?
Yep, best phone out right now. It'll probably be the best phone of 2017. LG hit a home run with this one.

I agree. It's only missing two things in my opinion.
- LED indicator
- Better front camera
I also didn't realize the benefit of having the headphone jack on the bottom until this phone.
Yeah I also prefer the headphone jack to be on the bottom.

Yeah this makes no sense. I'm not married to this phone and want the best I can have. I honestly love this phone. I've considered sending back to get the XL 2 and that's merely for software updates. Not worth the lack in hardware, imo.

I thought it was weird as well. I think I read that they were testing a Korean version for whatever reason. I'm guessing it's all that they were able to get a hold of while they tested, but it seems a bit unfair of them to not wait for a US carrier model like every other reputable publication.

All it takes to prove this right is a quick read of their opinion regarding the V30 audio/headphone jack. I know of basically a whole forum of people who would kill for a phone that has awesome audio and headphone jack. Problem is that the manufacturers can't seem to build a phone with that and everything else.

I was a "never again" LG guy ...
So far, so good. Very happy with the V30.
In fact, for the most part, I actually like their skin over the stock Android from my Nexus. Few tweaks would really make it more useful, but no issue.
My last LG was a G5 I returned it after 2 days due to the build issues. How is the V30? Really interested in the camera and audio output

Camera is great, but not the best and audio output through the headphone jack is the best. I say the camera is not the best overall, but for me it kind of is because I would rather have the wide angle instead lens of 2x zoom.
Picked up my V30 from T-Mobile last night. My immediate impressions, coming from an S8 and previously a Pixel XL are that this phone is great but does have some immediate flaws.
Some initial thoughts:
- The finger print scanner is blazing fast. On par with my old OnePlus 3 and my Pixel XL. In comparison, the Samsung S8 fingerprint scanner is slow, often unresponsive, and in a horrible position.
- I work from my home office full time and I spend A LOT of time on client calls. I often have headphones plugged into my phone for these calls. I just got off of a conference call and could immediately tell that the audio output through even pretty basic in-ear headphones is significantly better than my S8 was. Voice clarity is much improved and people sound more like they are in the room with you, rather than on a conference call. This is HUGE for me. And I imagine that music quality will see this same improvement through the headphones.
- I was happy to see that there was SIGNIFICANTLY less bloatware to uninstall/disable on this phone than their was on my Samsung S8.
- The overall UI is extremely fluid and fast. The speed of opening quick settings and the notification drop down, navigating through settings, and swapping between apps is on par with my Pixel XL, which is a breath of fresh air coming from the S8. However, there is still some lag to be had within apps, but I'll discuss that below.
- The camera is excellent. I'm not seeing any blurry photos, as others have apparently seen.
The negatives...
- The stock LG dialer and messages apps are hilariously ugly. I was able to get a new theme installed, which cleaned those up a bit but it still doesn't compare to the stock Google dialer/messages apps. Future "Pixel" style themes for the V30 will likely fix this, though.
- I have seen noticeable and consistent scroll lag in some apps like Chrome, Instagram, Facebook, and even in LG's own themes app. I've changed animation scaling to .5x and enabled GPU rendering in developer settings but I haven't seen an improvement. I've only had my phone for about 12 hours at this point so I'm going to give it more time to adapt. However, if this doesn't improve and/or starts effecting more apps over time, it might actually be a deal breaker for me.
- I compared the Pixel 2 XL to the V30, side by side, in my local Verizon store. The front facing speakers on the 2 XL put the single bottom facing speaker on the V30 to complete shame. The downside is that those front facing speakers come with larger bezels, though. Unfortunately, in my short time using the V30, I've already found myself accidentally covering the bottom speaker more than once.
I still have my Pixel 2 XL on order and at the moment, I don't intend to cancel it. If I find that the lag I'm seeing in some apps does not improve over time, I'll probably return the V30 and hold out for my 2 XL. I don't want to give up wireless charging or the headphone jack. But I will if I have to, in order to get a 100% lag free phone. Especially at this $800+ price point.

I'm starting to experience lag and stuttering also. This goes away with a reboot, but I don't really want to be forced to reboot several times a day. I've tried LG's cleaner app and that doesn't help. I've tried enabling the force GPU rendering, and that doesn't help for me either. I'm hoping that future updates help out. This phone is the perfect size and feels so nice in the hand. I really don't want a different phone, so I'm going to wait and see if it gets better.

He's saying that compared to the Samsung S8/S8+/Note 8 screens, the LG V30 screen doesn't look as good. I do concur with this. I wouldn't go back to the S8 because I much prefer the overall feel and UI of the V30. However, compared to the screen on my S8, the V30's screen looks noticeably washed out. My current long term decision is between the V30 or the Pixel 2 XL, which essentially share the same screen. So this is not much of a consideration for me. However, I could actually see this being a deal breaker for some.

Yeah, it's quite disheartening. I honestly think that if they went with 6GB of RAM, the lag/stuttering would be a non-issue. The lack of 6GB of RAM in these 2017 flagships, including the Pixel 2 XL, really has me scratching my head.
I believe this is the sole reason why the Note 8 (with 6GB RAM) crushes the V30 in Phonebuff's head to head speed tests. For instance, the V30 beats the S8+ (with 4GB RAM) in the same speed test.
If OnePlus can easily do it, LG and Google should be able to, as well.
My G6 has weird, terrible lag sometimes too. A reboot does fix it, but waiting a while sometimes makes it go away too. I know this is a V30 forum, but sad to see this issue persists across these 2 devices. Its not a deal breaker for me, but sure is something that I experience way too often on a 2017 smartphone.

Ok my phone is on it way out, like straight up on the verge of likely dying any week now. First off I greatly dislike this phone, it it the single worst phone I have ever owned. I am not turning this into a Pixel 2 complaint session, just maybe some background so some of my reasons or questions make sense. Also I am hoping that the P2xl is just a bad phone and the 3 and the 4 are better, albeit greatly flawed in their own right..hence my dilemma.
I love the camera on this phone, probably the only good thing about it, definitely the best thing and it is so much better than any other manufacturers that its the sole reason Ive keep this phone for as long as I have. which is why I keep thinking about replacing with a pixel even though I fear I will again hate everything else about it. again sort of hoping the P2 is just a fluke and they arent all this bad.....
Problem is, with the 3s they have the ram issue correct? Is this something that has been addressed with ROMs? It sounds odd I know but there is something about googles base android on their phones that I dont like. A lot of options to change stuff that are missing that I think should be there, a lot of UI implementation things that dont make sense to me, that I feel like I should be able to change but cant. So I will be rooting and putting a custom ROM on one of these if I get it in the hopes that at least some of that is fixed or addressed.
the P4s have fixed the ram issue but they have tiny batteries...I cant deal with a phone with a small battery so the 4 is basically right out.
So I guess the basic question here is does running a custom ROM on the P3 fix the ram problem the phone has, do I keep the great camera AI with those custom ROMS and is the P3 an easy phone to root and ROM?
This sort of goes got both the XL and the smaller P3 because I would at least think they would be similar in these regards. and I may be leaning towards a smaller, lighter phone this time around.
What kind of phone do you want? Because I have quite a good experience with buying phones because I have a crap ton of them. Take a look:
Samsung Galaxy Y Young GT-S6102-First Phone
Samsung Galaxy S3 4G Korean
Huawei Honor 4C
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
OPPO F1s
Huawei Ascend G6-L11 4G
iPhone 4S
iPhone 4
Samsung Galaxy A10 Dual Sim-Current Phone

Hey, I would recommend going with one of the newer Samsung budget phones such as the A10, great phone, Android 10, rootable on XDA and most of all, supports Treble VNDK 29 and System-As-Root or A/B.

The point wasnt looking for another phone it was trying to stay with the pixel but make the experience more to my liking and to smooth out some of the flaws the phone has.
Also the camera is obviously pretty important to me since I have kept a phone that I more or less hate for the better part of 2 years just because the camera is so good and so much better then the competition. I just dont see any way any budget phone offering will have even close to satisfactory camera performance for me. Most flagship phones dont, if one did I would have ditched this thing long ago. I have finally gotten to a point where I will give up a little bit of camera performance for a better user experience, because I just cant deal with it anymore, but I still need something thats relativity close.

You can install One UI 2 apps if you want to. I have all the apps that One UI 2 uses. I would gladly give them if you need 'em

Just wait until at least August 3rd mate, I know you said flagships do not stand up to your expectations and how would mid-range phones. Apparently the Pixel 4a will have 6GB of ram, Pixel quality camera and processor/battery combo which may be good. However, you may be think around 3000mAh may not be much and yeah it is not but for a low gpu chip(only matters for games) it may be enough. But but but...... if you can hold on a longer than that too then the rest of Google's 2020 lineup soon. Their batteries will likely be bigger and ram should be at least 6GB. If you really really, want one of the current Pixel's alright, I do not see a ram issue in present day on my Pixel 3 XL which also lasts me around 5hrs with 20%ish left. I do not know what your use case, but if you are concerned about ram get a Pixel 4 XL which does have a larger battery, yeah and more ram.

Oh, a final mention: yes the Pixel line is simple to unlock the bootloader of. Though, if you wanna root or run a kernel all of that will have to be done on the computer starting with the Pixel 3s(for now). If you really want a smaller phone though word of advice, just wait at least until August 3rd, the device will have more ram than the Pixel 3 and more battery capacity than the Pixel 3 & Pixel 4.

Yeah, Ive been considering it. Usually I wouldn't consider a phone with a midrange processor, but to get what I want I will have to sacrifice something. I actually like that the A series is made out of plastic, I hate heavy phones, I also hate cases...plastic is light and its durable. I was actually looking at the s10e because its a light phone. the only reason I balk at that one is because of potential battery life issues. That said I dont know it would be any worse than by P2 which is adequate for me.
But yeah, if I could get past the processor the 4a probably makes a lot of sense and at least I can see if the problem I have with my current phone is because of the phone itself or Google. The whole Pixel transition just sort of irks me because I was basically a hardcore nexus fan and they just totally killed it for pixel. I see the A phones as nexus successors, but I still feel like Google cuts too many corners with the A phones. I mean I dont know how much processors cost but its sort of hard for me to believe with with all the other places Google cut costs with the A phones they couldn't figure out how to get an 8 series processor in the phone. Maybe this year would be different considering how expensive everyone claims the 865 is but shouldn't 855s be dirt cheap by now? There are near budget class phones with 855s in them right now. so thats my major gripe with the A series.
As for the 5 thats less of a sell for me. All the rumors have that phone with a midrange processor as well and I just dont see it differentiating itself from the 4a all that much, especially for the extra money its going to cost.
Hi, all.
Had my 8T since Dec 2020 (longest ever for a device), and just can't find a device worth upgrading to. Anyone here jumped to 11 and thinks it was worth it?
Thanks!
I made the jump from the 8T to the 11 and I like it (mostly). The phone is super-fast and the software is pretty darn good. I'm starting to get antsy for some custom ROM's though (eg: paranoid android, pixel extended, etc).
The only thing I didn't really like (at the beginning) was the waterfall display on the edges. I don't really notice it any more but (personally) I prefer flat displays.

Good deal. I just feel like 8T is still plenty fast until they discontinue the update support here in a year or so. How's the camera on 11?
1. This is not OxygenOS. I wouldn't say it's complete crap but it's leaves a lot to be desired.
2. Battery life is poor.
3. Camera is barely any better than for my even older than yours OnePlus.
4. Yeah, it's fast, too bad it's overheating even when using light apps like Google Maps.
I've no idea what to upgrade to but I'm not a fan of OnePlus 11 by a long shot. I've heard some Lenovo/Motorola and Asus phones feature a ROM which is close to stock Android.
Oh, and the Pixel 7 Pro is certainly an option as well, though stock Google Android is missing a ton of features from OxygenOS, even simple ones such as double tap to wake (it can be single tapped to wake but that leads to an extreme number of unnecessary wake up's).
I can't recommend it.
I have 8T and with the update to A13 it went way down in terms of sw quality :/
That worse sw quality + unreliable USB-C connecter made me looking for other devices.
After watching some reviews I got an incorrect impression that the OS/SW is better on OnePlus11...
But it's not...
- constantly fighting with android auto, when you connect the phone to your car, usually 1st attempt works, 2nd and any following doesn't and you need to do some dance like usb debug enable/disable or reboot to make it working...
- now with latest update, it has broken pressed state so most of apps don't have it visible
- whole UI is weirdly bloated, I prefer more dense content, I was already using the custom DPI value to override it, now the number must be even higher, but this value doesn't survive reboot... what a pain, if I have to reboot every other day...
- Notifications UX is somehow weird comparing to pixel 7 with A13, I have hard time to just dismiss it by swiping it out, very annoying.
- I don't like much the oneplus photos app, so I just disable it to get rid of it. What a surprise to see that the camera app has the oneplus photos app hardwired, so it it doesn't open any photos app, so I had to reenable it back again just to be able to see a history of photos directly from camera app...
Thanks, guys. My wife has a pixel 7 (non-pro) and I don't like it at all lol I hear youtubers raging about xiaomi and other Chinese phones (hell, OP is one also), but I'm on the fence on those due to security and update support.
Is Samsung any better than when it had that weird UI back in the day?

I must be one of the lucky ones because I haven't had any issues with the USB charger, battery life (I can get almost 2 full days if I really stretch it out), Android Auto, the notifications or the photo app. I agree that it's not the Oxygen OS we've grown accustomed to but it's not the worst thing in the world (in my opinion).
But to each his own. Everyone has to make their own decision on what they can live with and what they can't.
I'd love to have a Pixel for the streamlined OS but the charging speed to stupid slow compared to the OnePlus 11 (hell, even the OnePlus 8t is way faster at charging). The camera on the OnePlus 11 is (for me) fine for the daily quick photo but I have a Canon DSLR that I use if I really want a good photo.
RussianBear, my suggestion is the try the OnePlus 11. If you like it, great. If not, send it back.
I just can't seem to justify paying full retail for this thing. It'd have to be that much better than 8T for me to drop near 1k (looking for max specs) on a new phone. Their 100 day gimmick is cool, tho lol

I have 10-9hrs average screen on time while traveling.
Nothing overheats while having gps navigation active during my trips.
SOT are great, especially when I switched from OP7Pro.
I enjoy using my OnePlus 11, it's my first day to day device back with Android since I left behind the 6T and went to the iPhone lol The camera has improved to the point where it can be in the conversation with the Pixel and Galaxy phones, OxygenOS isn't as clunky as I thought it would be, and 80W charging is amazing.

I jumped from 6T to 8T
Camera is snappier, fast charging, more battery, faster device.
I moved from OP8T to OP11, and the first big thing is the vastly superior battery life of the 11.
Wiht my OP8T I had grown used to the idea that i would need to take a powerbank with me if i was going to be out all day, and that it would need to be left on charge overnight to ensure it was full in the morning - before going out for day , my new OP11 - at the moment easily lasts all day - and no longer needs an overnight charge
So OP11 has
better battery life
much nicer screen
its faster/ more responsive
havent had enough time to use the camera yet - but first impressions are its an improvement over the 8T
I have the 11 and 8T and much prefer my 8T. I'm actually actively trying to sell my 11. I probably would have a different opinion if OnePlus didn't take away a person's rights to fix their phones themselves with MSM, but that's mostly an Oppo issue. I tinker with my 8T because I know if I botch something, MSM will save my ass.

Then you can wait a bit for a lower price and I think the 100 day offer ended on April 30th. I've upgraded from both OP6 and 9 and I think it was worth it. Some people have hardware issues as it happens with any brand, while some just need a factory reset to straight up things. Everything is running perfectly here. Everything launches faster, haven't had heat issues, not even with Maps and the five year updates gives the thing longevity. Battery life is also lasting much more than OP9 despite using OOS. The only thing I wish is to once more have tools like MSM publicly available and of course, custom development which might come one day.
