Has anyone tried to modify the update files to create custom or even improve the UI of the Hyundai software?
Just curious because I have a Canadian 2017 IONIQ BEV and downloaded the update from update.hyundai.com and noticed the files look very similar to a ROM update for an Android phone.
Wanted to bump this post back up since I got a hold of the update files that work for my car.
I want to enable wifi hotspot button in 2022 IONIQ 5 BEV. Please help. Thank you and have a nice weekend.
You could tinker around in Engineer mode (google it) and find something like that, but be careful as it can brick your car and even breakyour warranty in some countries

Here is the link to download AT&T's demo ROM used on Samsung Focus. DO NOT install this ROM to your device!!! I am posting it so someone with the required skills may be able too cook a custom ROM for the focus or remove the demo mode from it!
it's a shame that focus is the only wp7 without a custom ROM available yet!
Here is the link: http://megaupload.com/?d=KC6YS0FT
dell venue pro also has no custom rom =/
Optimus 7 E900h has no custom rom either.
there isn't any "custom" rom for real wp7 phones , only the hd2 has custom rom's
before we can have custom rom's we need to find a way to lower the security and get some nativ app's running (isn't that easy) then we need a Hspl to get that rom on the phone and we need a kitchen (one with reloc for all the parts of the ROM).
when we have that all it will be possible to make custom rom's , so don't keep your breath wile waiting because it will take long to get that all
It appears the link is no more working.. busted I guess! sorry..! if anyone needs it I can upload it somewhere maybe..
Thread cleaned, if this thread doesn't stay on topic, it will be closed. I don't have a reason to believe this was from a stolen phone. People leak things all the time, even before the phone is released . The way this is laid out seems to be in a similar manner of an HTC RUU, this is probably used to get regular Focus's to demo mode.
~~Tito~~
Zero Tolerance is in effect for this thread and others like it if it moves to that. Play nice
The download link is still working.
The download contains a file called "Focus.exe". It is a flash-tool with ROM-files embedded. When it is started, it will first extract the embedded ROM files. There will be 4 files extracted in your temp-folder. Then the flash-tool is started and waiting for a phone in download-mode to be connected. You should obviously not do that. If you want to analyze this ROM you should start Focus.exe and make a copy of these 4 files in your temp-folder and then close it again.
I'm not really sure what a Demo Mode ROM is, so I want to know what's so bad about it?
The thing is that I have a bricked Focus on my hands which doesn't boot beyond the Samsung Logo. The only solution I can think of is flashing it with a new ROM but since there aren't any stock ROMs available, I can't do that.
Would flashing it with the Demo ROM bring it back to life?
no it would do nothing but render it useless if the phone was working.... demo mode is what comes on the at&t in store demo phones...

Click to collapse
It does not come on them, it is put on them by the AT&T staff.
*edit*
I have upped the files that the Samsung/WP7 software dumps to the temp folder in case someone wishes to have direct access to them for analysis.
There are about 4 files, all *.tmp
one is 300+ megs, one is 20, the other 2 are small

good job let's hope someone will be able one day to create or leak a ROM for Focus..
Doesn't look like that day would be coming any time soon
have faith my friend! what if someone could capture the nodo update with any software during downloading? is this in any way possible?
I thought about that too, but it turns out its only a Delta update, not a complete Firmware/ROM so it isn't possible.
I'm trying to be optimistic here, but considering there is absolutely no developer interest in the Focus, I'm not holding my breath anymore
great..! I am wondering how much would I get for selling my bricked focus for parts (is stuck on Samsung screen and only with a new ROM would be fixed)..
Yes my device has the same problem. What I learned from all this was that HTC smartphones are a much better choice since they at least have developers working on them.

Hi!
I have some problem with my padfone. Does not working wi-fi and bluеtooth modules.
For repair I need firmware for padfone. Please if anyone have ..... share.
Asus has released PadFone Kernel Code for Android 4.0.3 ICS OS (V9.18.8.2)
Can i make firmware use PadFone Kernel Code?
How can i do it?
Kernel source code allows you to compile a Kernel for the Padfone.
It is not the complete firmware you are looking for
Please tell me more about the problems you are having. I understand it is with the WiFi and BT modules, what have you tried to fix the problem?
juzz86
Thank you for your reply.
My problem was due to my wrong actions.
I've got root access to the Padfone.
I tried to install (Bluetooth SIM Access Profile) android-rsap
Then did the factory reset.
As a result of these actions, there was a change of some files that are associated with the work of the module bluetooth. Now when you try to enable Wi-fi or Bluetooth does not work.
In the directory / system / bin / some binary files (ls, ln, mkdir and etc.) Have a size of 0kb.
It seems to me that if build the kernel for padfone it should fix the problems.
I tried to restore the firmware after an android recovery e3 but recovery directory is empty.
Please help meee
ps GSM module is perfect working
I see. I'll see what I can find out regarding a firmware for you, have you received the OTA at all yet?
Also, are you able to perform a reset/reflash through the ASUS PC Suite software, something like what Samsung Kies offers?
http://www.asus.com/Mobile/PadFone/#download
Yes, I received OTA, now build number IML74K.CHT_Padfone-9.18.8.41_CHT_9.1.15-0.
Before update yet i had problem with camera (don't startup). But it problem was resolved, once i applied the latest updates OTA. But it did not resolve problem with bluetooth and wi-fi.
Out of curiosity, how big (size in MB) was the OTA?
I know little about these things, but I'm wondering if we could find the OTA file, extract the system.img, and manually flash it through cmd prompt using recovery?
124,1 MB. I think that fully update be 300-400 МБ
Hmm. That's probably not going to help us.
There is one more avenue you could try. Send a private message to XDA member 'Football'. He leaks ROMs and firmwares for devices. He may be able to help you out?
I know he does a lot of HTC devices, but he's been known to be able to source others, too
ok thank you. I will try to contact him.
No worries mate
Asus released firmware.

Excellent mate, that should set you on the right track.
Good luck!
Hello everyone who may come across this any help would be appreciated.
I have been doing a lot of reading on here and came across several topics
of how to get my phone back to its 100% charge, rather then the new update
that allows it only to charge to 60%.
Now every topic has not my specific phone model (SM-N903V)
it has been for other models. I really dont know what else to write
other then my phone model, So here is a basic run down of what info is
in my about phone section if you need anything else let me know.
Model Number: SM-N903V
Android Version: 6.0.1
Android security Patch level: August 1, 2016
Baseband Version: N903VVRS2APK1
Kernal Version: 3.18.20
If rooting is needed i need to know what files i need and a walk through
and if a ROM is needed then i also need to know what ROM and a walk through also please
Thanks In Advance to anyone who maybe able to help me
Your new so I wont grill you for not knowing that root and flashing roms isnt even possible for your device at this point.
So apparently its possible to go back to the previous firmware you were on and retain 100% charging...at least one guy on verizon has done this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=69485463
Keep in mind that post the guy has a SM-N930FD which is a totally different beast than your deivce so you will need to download all the proper files for your verizon device.
Use the search and google to get the appropriate files please unless someone has them on hand and can help this guy out?

Hello beautiful people, I recently bought a Nokia 3.2, good phone and everything but I noticed that the SP is outdated, I have the November 19th Security Patch update installed even when there are more recent updates, I searched for all the internet looking for a method to force the update but didn't find any, I know there's a method with the vpn but I don't know what I have to do specifically, delete some apps data or something? So if anyone can help me with this I would be very grateful
(I from Chile so it's not like the OTA is coming out any time soon btw)
Hello, I know that we are already in 2021 but I would like to know if someone could already find a firmware for the PG-9021 since my problem is that I was touching all the buttons when I wanted to connect it to the pc and I stayed in update mode, I could find one workaround with a PG-9025 firmware but not all buttons work the way they want and I was looking for the original firmware or at least one that will make it work as before, thank you very much if you answer
