Yes, read instructions but I think you have to be in fastbootd first. Then double check the model number of your device and which ROM it comes with - it may be that the Indian ROM and global are the same or can both be installed on the same model, but I can't say for certain, I have global model with global ROM

Thanks for the quick reply.
I can't see my model number (hd-xxxx) on the custom rom(MSM) for some reason. It's listed as Oneplus 7t under the model number :/

I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to as it's been a while since I used the stock ROM flashing package but maybe the below will help? It's my understanding Global will work for Indian, Europe and North American models (mine was Europe, I used global) and Chinese / HK and T-Mobile have their own images. Sorry I can't provide these.
VariantsEdit
Both OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro have several variants. The differences are usually with the supported bands.
ModelVariantRegionOnePlus 7T
HD1900 Chinese/HK
HD1901 Indian
HD1903 Europe
HD1905 North America
HD1907 T-Mobile

Look for BLN-21
Then try the right package for your region.

bln-l21 (nfc) -> bln-l22 (india/chinese variant) = no nfc
Anyone can summarize how to upgrade BLN-L21 UK version (firmware BLN-L21C432B382) to EMUI 8.0 other than converting to Chinese/Indian first please?
If anyone have converted to Chinese from BLN-L21, then let us know how its going? I want to upgrade so that I can put one of the latest ROMS as this is the prerequisite of most ROMS. Thanks
Would this do it - at least its European (German)?

Hi
It seems that the convertion is mandatory. But some more feedbacks than "loosing nfc" would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Dont think we are loosing anything apart from NFC because that is the only difference we had in region specific models.
BTW there was one more guide to update but that will convert to Chinese version i guess. I guess it was by Khan.

I suppose forcing the nfc flag to true in the dedicated file .prop doesn't work to regain nfc on Indian or Chinese rebranded ?

I've seen both guide to rebrand to Chinese or Indian version guys, I still wonder which one will offer me more Android 9 custom rom versions. If you have any advice?
Any custom roms will work with nfc? (Android 8 ones?)
Thx for the hard work, your advices and guides are still very helpful in 2021! Just bootloader unlocked and rooted a EU honor 6x. Only paid DC unlocked version get me the unlock code in 2021.
But stick to the thread.... BLN-L21 is losing just nfc to be rebranded, OK. Now any advantage Indian VS Chinese version? Any custom rom for directly the EU version?

I would prefer Indian lme because there are more chances of bricking while moving from Chinese to other versions as there are no custom bin. Once i rebranded to i shuffled easily to EU, US and other variants + custom ROMs

Hello
I plan to buy a oneplus 7t. I am in France and the only model sold is the hd1903 8gb ram 128gb.
I would like to buy the hd1900 Chinese model.
This model has 256 GB of storage.
According to the technical characteristics, the hd1900 model has the same technical characteristics, especially at of the LTE bands.
It comes with an oxygen rom of the French language and playstore installed.
I have several small questions to ask you.
1 / is this version of oxygen a version benefiting from updates via OTA?
2/ Is this model perfectly suited for Europe?
3 / buying a Chinese version, must you install a global version of oxygen os ?
4 / to root later a Chinese version hd1900, it is done in the same way as the European version hd1903? Or should I install a particular firmware?
Thank you in advance for your replies.
cordially
Ola,
while i do not live in France, i can help answer some of your questions as i order also from china and has the same model ordered.
1. Check what rom they flashed on the device. mine shipped with the indian rom. U can flash EU rom as long as the EU rom version is higher than the currently installed. So dont update when u first boot up ur device
3. some sellers, they are flashing oxygen version before they shipped it. In my case, i flashed the global rom after i receive it as i noticed that i'm using indian version (has cloud storage option in gallery).
4. there shouldn't be any issue rooting the device later.. that's what i think

thank you for your precise answer.
Coming from Xiaomi, I will start in the world of Oneplus.
To update in a version of Oxygen adapted to France and Europe.
Once you have downloaded the firwmare file, do you have to put the file on the phone in the update directory and force an update from the Oneplus settings?
Or should I use a particular software for this update?
Just put the whole rom in the root folder of the storage then update in the settings-system-system updates -"click gear icon" - local upgrade

For example if the version of oxygen os installed is the Indian version and I want to install the global version. I just download the global version I put in the phone and update as you indicate?
Should it reset the phone if updated to a version of oxygen os that is not same as that installed on the op7t?
No need to reset,. Ur only problem is if the version of oxygen os installed is the latest. In that case look for the thread in guide section on how to flash

But it is unlikely that this oneplus7T is equipped with the latest version 1.0.0.6 released a few days ago. I would normally have a newer version to install.
3 last questions:
1 / In my case in France, it is better to use a global firmware (faster update?) Or a version of the firmware EU (European)
2 / Oxygenupdater is a useful utility later for future updates?
3/ And can we make updates via Oxygenupdater if the oneplus 7T is rooted?
Thank's

2. Yes, for global 10.0.6, i have used oxygen updater
3. Oxygen updater will detect if ur rooted and will advice u to download and install the full rom.

Hellou,
I ordered this one ( https://bit.ly/343MpgU ) and it's comming to germany... its an "international" Version... what does that mean? ^^ And does it have an european plug?
Hi, also French, I received my OP7T 128GB beginning of this week and as far as I can tell everything is fine. I unlocked the bootloader easily, I updated OOS through integrated OTA system as OOS was already flashed. I did a reset after the update (just a bit paranoid ).
I'm still trying to root it as I couldn't achieve it yesterday. I fastbooted the phone with a magisk patched boot.img but then I couldn't install magisk from magisk manager. I begin to think my phone is actually with international rom and not EU. I have to check again but now I'm stuck with my OP5T as I don't have that much time to tweak my new phone. Feel free to ask anything...

I bought my OP7T on Gearbest and it's Chinese 1900 variant, but it's running Oxygen OS. I assume that it was manually flashed to use Oxygen OS. How can I determine is it global or european software? Now I have 10.0.7.HD65AA
And can convert it to 1930, so system info would indicate it's 1930?

10.0.7.HD65AA could be indian or global rom, EU is something like HD65AB. Indian Rom has some cloud storage from oneplus so if you don't have that, you have international rom.
I don't think you can convert to 1903 (there's no 1930), it's most likely some hardwired value that firmware just displays.

Just about to get a 7T and will need to flash either Global / Europe - do you think the equalizer settings are worth going with Global (currently run Bass Booster as 5T doesn't have equalizer either) or stick with Europe as UK based ?
Was there ever a full stock 10.0.6 International ROM posted? I flashed the European version when it was found but want to do a clean install and use International. The OP website only has 10.0.3 in the support page.

Since you have the HD1900, if you flash the EU or International rom, does it unlock the other lte bands? I'm considering buying the HD1900 version but everything I've read states that it lacks the lte bands I need (61 & 71).
Thanks!
Its definitely lacks those bands. Use Oxygen updater app from play store, there can be downloaded all latest updates. Just see in the startup menu what rom is currently on the device. Under my dwvice menu oneplus 7t is for international version, oneplus 7t( eu) is for European version and last will be oneplus ( India) India version. Then go to 3 dot menu and choose version you like to install same naming as the step before. Then select in update method full update, or try incremetal update if you don't see latest version of software now will be 10.0.6. Just follow instructions in the app and you will have new android version faster than the others. Using international version for two weeks no problems on my hd1900 Chinese verion of the phone.

Don't worry those bands are needed only in rural areas in Usa from my knowledge by far. If you live in Europe flash international you will have equilazer unlocked. Some users seem to don't have equilazer unlocked, so you will find only if you flash yourself.
One more thing before flashing. you will need to have (older) or the (same) version rom varian. No posible to downgrade.

I discovered it won't let me flash from the EU version to the International version (both 10.0.6). It sees the International version as being older than EU and prevents the flash. If anyone has an idea how to force it I'd love to hear!
Indian version have call recording, cricket scores, cloud storage, caller identification, sms visualization and few more i guess.
Not sure which of these features have reached other versions now.

Hi, i have the 7t hd1903 model. Can I flash through the local updater the European firmware over the global one with a Locked boot loader? (of course with the same firmware version) thank you
I always thought it was mostly hardware variations rather than software - mostly due to the LTE bands differ depending on the region.
OP's made it so it's not as attractive to buy a phone outside your region due to that. For example, on the original OP7, they left out a few critical bands T-Mo and AT&T needed here for full LTE compatibility. It would still work on the other bands, of course, but it may not work everywhere the US version would.
I think that's stupid, personally, but it seems to be more for marketing than anything else. I think it'd be less hassle to just have one phone with as many bands as possible, then just put different software on it to comply with the legal requirements of those markets.

The OOS native recording module gives you call recording on the US ROM, it's what I use.
Save the zip to your phone
You need to uninstall the module prior to any oos update. You can reinstall after the update.
I have oneplus9 phone.
Oxygen updater says my phone is India version
when I look in setting->about phone the model is LE2120 which is CN version AFAIK. thats what the Oxygen updater also present.
But the OxygenOS version is 11.2.10.10 LE15DA which is India version according to google
so which version do I have?
2120 is the Chinese version, but you can flash Indian or EU/Global firmware anytime, hence why the Oxygen updater app thinks you have the Indian version. Afaik, it doesn't affect the functionality of the phone.
Right, model number and firmware version are two different things because the model number (LE2120) is your hardware, and the firmware version (DA) is your software.

I don't know a lot about ColorOS or its differences, but it's probably just a matter of personal preference. The two are going to be unified at some point in the near future anyway.

What OOS version do you have right now?
If you download the full update (not incremental) that is the same version or newer than your current version and install it via system update, that method does not wipe the phone.
If you have to downgrade/rollback due to no full update being available for your version or newer, that would wipe the phone. Or just wait for the next full update to be released.
Actually i have
OnePlus9ProOxygen_22.I.13_GLO_0130_2111112104
So my OP9 pro is a Chinese variant that came preloaded with oxygen OS out of the box but Indian variant, the phone works well except for one problem, it doesn't support 5G where i am ( Dubai using etisalat) while my wife's 9 pro came preloaded with the european firmware and 5G works fine on the same network, is there a way to switch to the latest european build ( C.62) and will i need to do a factory reset ?
thanks in advance.

I've seen these before, the phone does support the frequencies of my carrier, but for some reason it wont connect to 5G at all.

Global rom has 5G I don't think EU rom does. I could be wrong though. I had to switch to Global when I converted before to get 5G. But maybe it has changed since then.
