Hardware button don't work - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

Hi,
i have flashed LIneageOS 16 on my new oneplus 5t, but the middle gardware buttons isn't working. The other buttons are working. Now i have three touch buttons on the button of the screen, the middle is for "home". But they are useless, i can have the same functions with the hardware buttons without wasting space on my touchscreen. I think this is a problem with android pie, i read something about that somewhere. There are so settings to enable hardware buttons or change the function of the middle buttons. Also remapping the button with third party apps don't work, they can't find the button.
Is there something that i can do? Before i had the Oneplus 3 with LineageOS 15. The device has nearly the same design, the middle hardware button worked without problems.

Front Face Button issue.

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if any has this issue?
Ive got a HTC Branded TyTN and I've installed various ROMs on the phone, included the standard rom. The buttons on the front of the phone seem to stop responding after 5 inputs.
For example, I activate the start menu with the Windows Button. I use the D-Pad to scroll down the list, i press it 4 times, the keys stop responding.
The slide out keyboard works fine.
Whats weird is, if i press the Ok button below the track wheel twice, I can then press the front face buttons 5 more times.
Any suggestions. I've done hardresets, Rom updates, im leaning toward a hardware issue. i'd like your input though.
Thanks

[Q] any app to make hardware buttons (volume) to control touch at a certain point?

This is probably the weirdest question asked but here's my scenario
I work part time at samsung store. My shift starts in the morning when we open. Naturally, we have to turn on all the TV's so i use my HTC's IR blaster (Range is amazing) to turn on all the TV's
What i want: an app (tried searching if it exists. no success) which can make the volume buttons function as if the screen is pressed in that particular point, when app running on background
I.E, if i press volume down, it performs the action as if the top right hand side of my phone is being pressed by my finger (Acts like a mouse i guess?)
The reason i want this is because the IR app i use has the buttons really close to each other, i end up pressing other buttons making the TV do different stuff (My fingers are chunky) and also this method would be very easy as i need to point my phone and press the physical button instead of constantly locating the button (Physical buttons are always awesome)
Maybe assign the volume up as if the left corner of my phone is being pressed, where the mute button is
Please tell me if an app exists or if i'm talking complete nonsense:silly:
If it doesnt make sense, read through again or ask me for a brief explaination. THanks:laugh:

Fn button actions

I have found a few things with my keyboard and wanted to know if they worked for other people. The 1key on my keyboard is also a power key so when I press Fn+1 the Fire TV actually fades to black like its gonna power off, but never actually does. The light even fades off when I do this. Also if I press Fn+ENTER it instantly reboots, which is nice, cause I do not have to hold down the remote buttons for five seconds to reboot. Fn+9 takes you instantly to the top page and Fn+0 takes you to the bottom, whick is good for browsing. The Fn+9 and Fn+0 do not work on the main screen, but does work on certain sections of the default launcher like managing apps, Fn+0 will instantly take you to the bottom of the list. I actually meant to write this a couple months ago, but somehow forgot so hopefully this isn't old news. The Fn+1 was the real interesting thing, cause maybe we can find a way to actually power down the Fire TV. Plus maybe we can find a way to maybe put a floating circle or something onscreen that when pressed does the same as pressing Fn+ENTER so we can reboot from onscreen.
Fn is just another modifier key like SHIFT, ALT or CTRL used for smaller keyboards to realize a full keyboard layout with less buttons. In fact on regular keyboards those Fn button kombinations are done with just one single key. The only difference to other modifier keys is that the FN+key combinations do also depend on the keyboard model and are not standardized. For e.g. your Fn+1 combination is just mapped to keyevent KEYCODE_POWER which is done on regular (multimedia) keyboards with the (single) power key. So nothing new here.
Actually until now there is no way known to simulate a keystroke on the FireTV via app without root. I little more detailed explanation why this is restricted can be found in this topic.

Hardware button remap

I have installed lewa os on my nokia x. It is running fine but i want to use physical back button instead of on screen soft keys and free screen space covered by soft keys. I have disabled the onscreen button but i can't remap long press of back button to home and double tap to recent apps. I tried some apps available on playstore and xedge xposed module but nothing seems to be working.

TIFU - HA2100-V600 PX5 Dasaita - Touch buttons not working

Hi All,
My unit is the 7" double din with the captive touch buttons on the left (Power, Back, Vol up & Vol down).
I was going through the factory settings and played with the touch calibration settings. I was attempting to remap my power button to something else, but all I have managed to do is remove all mapping for these 4 buttons.
When I go in to the section to re-map these, pressing the buttons has no effect.
I saw a couple of videos where after re-calibrating the touch screen (top left then top right) the mapping page for these buttons comes up, this doesn't happen on mine (maybe because Android 8?)
Can someone please let me know what I have to do to get these buttons back to how they were?
Cheers,
Kris

Maybe I was getting that second screen and just going straight to "save exit".
It was very late by the time I got to this point. I'll try again soon and report back.
Thanks.
The above worked. Thanks again.
