ok, so here's what's going on:
Google nexus 2013 wont start up. It was previously Dead Dead, but its been charging, so it can start up now. However, i shuts down when i take it off the charger, but thats bc its not fully charged yet.
now for the real issue:
It seriously wont start up, it gets to the google logo, but it just shuts right back off after that. and sometimes, when i power it on, the google logo flashes on screen for less than a second, and then shut off immediately afterward, and i can't get to the bootloader when that happens.
when i AM able to get into the bootloader, i've tried everything. i wasn't going to factory reset, but when all failed, i tried it. But even THEN it didn't work. instead of bringing me to the next page, it just shut off again. can I get some help pls? (BTW it isn't charging with the cable it came with, its charging with a samsung j7 charger, but i made sure that its working)
If it turns on at all, then it isn't completely broken I believe. Have you tried the re-stock method shown in the forum? You just run the .bat file inside it and it'll flash you back to the latest stock firmware. It is supposed to fix any soft-brick issue.

How? i can't get it to connect to my pc via USB because USB debugging is off. I also need to get the official nexus 7 charger because it's not charging at all and i can't get it on.
Ah, you didn't mention usb debugging wasn't enabled... Hopefully someone will be along asap with a better solution

You don't need official charger. Any is suitable.
Any microusb in good working order should work. Check the charging port is free of lint and other dirt so the connection is good. Is the device showing that it is charging? Even off it should show that it is taking a charge. If not, and you are certain the charger is in good condition and seated properly then it may be a faulty or failed battery. I know mine is going, just won't hold a charge very long. If you can get into the bootloader, you can fastboot the factory packages regardless of adb debugging being enabled. You just can't flash non signed images unless you are bootloader unlocked. If you can boot into bootloader then fastboot back to stock would be my suggestion to start.

I took my stock AT&T tab and wiped it then flashed Roto JME-4. When I rebooted, I had a black screen for about 60 seconds, with a skinny white line, and I could hear the samsung music. After about 1.5 minutes, I pressed the power key, and screen went totally black - no line. Then I pushed power again, and everything was normal after that, unless I rebooted.
Anyway, here is it fix:
1) go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=899196 and download the jj4bootloader.zip file
2) use odin to flash the unzipped jj4 file. It goes in PDA and nothing else in any options.
3) upon reboot, you will have a 100% normal startup with logo and music.
I used the Bootloader Patch app to check this, and it reports it is safe, and that I can flash anything.
Thanks to Roto, Chain Fire, and alexnoalex
Ok, so, just to be sure I'm not going to break my Tab, doing this ONLY changes/fixes the boot animation etc. (get's rid of the AT&T stuff, and puts in the Samsung stuff).
To be clear, I just flashed Roto's latest Euro firmware (Baseband P1000XXJMA, Build FROYO.XXJME), so performing this fix won't affect/change ony of this stuff right?
If I have to re-flash everyting from scratch, then it's really more trouble than it's worth (Blank screen at bootup? Big deal... It's just at boot right? Everything else works perfectly!)
I wish rotohammer and other rom devs would include this information clearly in their initial posts. Took me awhile to find this fix but it works well. This is also important because you can't see the recovery screen without it.

This is just a quick 30 second flash thru odin, it only repairs the black screen, and doesn't touch anything else!
The developers took out the sound and logo to make the rom file size correct.
That's just the answer I was looking for! Thank you good sir!
Glad I could help.
Hello, I have the same problem but I cannot flash the zip file because my computer doesn't detect the tab when I'm in download mode. I tried updating the drivers and software and it still doesn't want to detect it. I cannot get into recovery mode because of the black screen/white line. Do you know what I can do to get my computer to detect my TAB? I tried searching the forum but could not find any info that helped. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using windows xp, or 7? Put the tab in download mode before you connect to the computer. Is your tab set to usb debugging mode?
I used Win XP, Windows 7 x64 and x86, non of them worked. They can detect my Galaxy S I9000 phone but not my TAB. Yes, I tried it with both debugging on and off, it still doesn't work. Could it be the kernal's fault? Maybe the cable? It will charge the TAB but for some reason my computer won't detect it.
Try different usb cables and ports on the computer.
I tried a different wire and usb ports and it's still not working. I just realized the TAB is not charging anymore. It doesn't make the charging sound when I plug it in. Figured out it's not the cable because it worked on another TAB. Could it be the firmware or kernal?
Not charging when plugged in the computer, or in the wall outlet? Plug it in the wall for at least for hours to get a full charge.
It charges if I plug it into the wall but its very slow like when you charge it via usb. Im using the original charger and cable. There is an x next to the charging/lightening icon on the top when I plug it into the wall and computer.
Just let it charge all night. Be sure its off when charging.
What's the point of having it fully charged? How will that help? My computer still won't detect it even if it's fully charged. I need help to get my computer to detect it so I can restore the original firmware.
I have seen five problems like yours, and after a complete charge, then reboot the phone into download mode, the problem cleared up. They used a different usb port also.
Go to windows update and update your pc.
Look a few threads further down named «help help help»
Ok its currently 50% now. Ill let you know once its fully charged. Thanks for your help so far.
Its 100% and my computer still doesn't detect it. Now what?
Did you have a chance to see the thread “help help help"?
This will sound crazy, but double check your cable - recently someone had the same trouble, because they had dust in the cable connector.
I cannot see the thread you're referring to.
Yes, I did tried a different cable and it's still the same.
So last night I was rooting a Kindle Fire 2. It's running 10.2.6. I was following a tutorial on this forum and I succeeded in rooting it. I flashed TWRP on it, but for some reason that didn't work. I tried booting to recovery and got a red triangle with an exclamation point inside it. It said it failed to boot. The device still worked at that point during the install. It was low on battery, though I had it plugged into my laptop. I was in fastboot and the device stopped receiving commands from it for some reason (I wasn't able to figure out why). Then the battery died. I guess a laptop usb port doesn't properly charge a tablet. But anyways, I plugged it into a wall charger for a couple hours and now it won't turn on. When I plugged it in, a charging light never came on. I used this same charger earlier in the evening and it charge the Kindle with no issues whatsoever, so I know it isn't the charger or cable failing to charge the device.
So here is where I stand:
When it died, it would still successfully boot
I was in fastboot when it died
Fastboot would not take commands from my laptop, whereas it had before I tried flashing TWRP (by that I mean when I try to send commands via the command line, it would simply say <waiting for device>)
The device is successfully rooted and bootloader unlocked
I've tried pulling the battery; I've tried holding the power button for 20 seconds, for 30 seconds and for short periods of time; I've tried any possible command from the computer. I haven't tried a factory cable because I don't have one. What do I do now?

Is that a problem?
Other than voiding the warranty since you opened the device... And removed a battery not meant to be removed? Naaaah
You should NEVER have to pull the battery on ANY android device.
Edit: couple more things
1. As long as you are USING the device it won't charge on USB to PC. Always better to charge off a wall outlet. MUCH faster charging too.
2. NEVER flash a ROM if your battery is low.

When the bootloader was unlocked, the warranty was voided. That's not an issue to me.
I've found that pulling a battery is a perfectly valid way to reboot a device, if nothing else will work, but I always consider it a last resort.
Ah ok. I didn't know that. I'm familiar with phones, so tablets are still new to me.

But the bootloader wasn't technically unlocked AND you could restore back to stock or whatever for replacement if necessary.
Phones are the same way. You can always hold the power button for a hard shutdown or reboot. The only reason i don't recommend it on the kf is that its a sealed device. Sure, if the battery dies, replace it. But anyway.. Not trying to be argumentative bro lol. Sorry cant really help though.

Well. I'm pretty sure the FFF boot loader is inserted AFTER the actual boot loader by using the stack exploit. If this isn't 100% correct, please correct me of I'm wrong.
I would try the factory cable though.. See if you can get one from SKORPN.
It sounds like your only option

Then I charged it, It's still charging after 30 mins of charging I turned it on then the SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 3 logo appear (Start-Up) but it fails like it shutted down. I tried charging it again but it wont charge anymore nor turn on, I'm not using any ROM but i rooted my SGT 3 10.1
Anyone knows how to fix this? Please help asap!

Okay, Gonna try those now and hope something will fixed this. I'll reply if it works or not soon
Edit :
Be right back in 2 hours to check everything.
Edit Again :
My Tablet is fixed now, Thanks dude.
What I did is stopped charging for 10 minutes then i charged it using PC/Laptop then waited 1 hour, then charge it on normal then it started to charge and turned on. but again, stuck on SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 3 logo then shut down....
None of those works. Any other idea?
I would do the process over again. But do not start the tablet. See if you can get into recovery mode (Vol+ / Power) or download mode (Vol- / Power). If that is successful then leave it there for awhile. Power off and try again. If good, then I would reload the OEM Rom or a backup that you may have. But I would not try powering the unit again. There might be a corrupt file caused by the initial improper shutdown.
It got even Worse, I tried to do the process again but it DOESNT turn on or Charge anymore. I waited 1 hour then charge, still, charge 2 hours, still. What to do now? Theres no helper here on our village except me so please help me
If your device is not charging then I wonder if it is the charger and not the device. I don't think the battery could go bad that fast. I could be wrong, but I don't think. So that leads me to believe that your charger possibly is not working like Ripshock mentioned.
Is the charger the OEM that came with the Tablet?
If not, can it produce 5vdc @ 2 amps?
What about the USB cable, is it OEM that came with the Tablet?
If not, is it wired correctly and can it handle 2 amps?
Regardless of how you answered the questions, I would seek another source for charging. I don't think the PC will charge. I don't believe the USP ports are setup to handle that much current. I could be wrong, but again, you might seek out another source for charging.
UPC won't charge tab. It has to be plugged into an eletrical outlet

As I suspected, but I thought I read somewhere that the PC can be setup to do just that on the USB port. Key phrase is "thought I read".
Nah. For some reason the tablet can't charge and transmit data through the cable at the same time unlike our phones and other devices. Personally i think it's stupid that it won't charge but hey that's how they were made lol. I use a very good cable too.

Well, I have been to this situation more than once (Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, which are both family tablets). Do a "force boot"
Steps:
1.) Leave it there for, like, 4 hours or while it is charging do step 2.
2.) Now, press the power, volume up, volume down and home button together, until the it boots up completely
3.) Charge the tablet again..
Easy as that.. If that does not work, remove the battery inside (You need to have proper tools and a hand that can search youtube)
or, even if that does not work, your brother may have screwed something up (Either by dirty flashing another ROM or by doing some dangerous system modifications).. Your last hope is the repair shop (If you have warranty, send it back to a SAMSUNG REPAIR SHOP and act dumb, they will fix it for you, free of charge.)
I am not 100% sure here, but I don't think pressing the home key while using the power and vol keys will do anything. I believe that to be a process found on some of the other Samsung devices, but not the P5210. I personally have not tried it and I really don't want too knowing right now that my machine is working just fine. Would hate to do something that I cannot reverse.

Yep, I did those steps. and it's turning on now. but i cant start it up. When I open it, it goes to TWRP mode. This happens when I wipe all my phone cache, dalvik, etc (everything) then when i restarted the system it says "no OS installed, still continue?" I choose yes, then it said "your tablet's root could be corrupted, want to install a fresh new one?" I choose yes then my tablet restarts but on TWRP again, I install a rom named Pimpdroid then restarted the tablet, still the same (Always go to TWRP mode even i'm not press power+up volume+home bottom together) Just the power button but it goes to TWRP mode, i tried installing other roms but its still the same. If you can't understand properly due to my poor english. I can make a video on it if u r willing to help me. I really need help guys since theres no repair shop here its just an island!

When it asked to reinstall the root, say NO. Then power off the unit. Do not try and run the tab at this time. There is no OS. Start the tab in download mode. Connect to PC and start ODIN. Load the OEM Rom. This is the only way to get things back to normal unless you have saved a backup. If you have a back up, then start the tab in recovery mode (TWRP/CWM) and restore from backup.
I would recommend NOT installing Pimpdroid or any other rom until you have a fully operational tablet again. Best to always start from a fresh OEM Rom.
What is OEM Rom? and where can I download it?
OEM = Original Equipment Manufacture
OEM Rom is the firmware that was developed by Samsung and is the only official Rom for your device. All the other roms that are developed here are done so with caveats placed on them. Mainly that the roms can damage your device or brick it (cause it to fail completely).
Original firmware (OEM Rom) can be found here. In the search window just enter the model number of the device you have. In this case that would be P5210. It will take several hours to download the rom as it is huge, on the order of 1.9GB. Just be patient. It is always a good idea to have the OEM Rom safely tucked away on you computer for situations like this.

It's just like a rom? after downloading ill just install it like other roms?
and, Which country firmware should I download? There are tons of Country but the same rom
You will download the version for your country. I have no information about your whereabout. So you will have to find the rom for your country or region of the world.
You will need to extract the MD5 file from the zip and place it on your computer. Once extracted, you will open ODIN and load the MD5 file into the PDA slot and upload it to your device. Don't worry about the SS_DLL file. It will take some time to load into ODIN and then some time to load into your device. Do not stop the upload or interrupt. Once loaded, you will then restart your device and configure it like it was brand new out of the box.
The standard recovery will be loaded also. If you desire to load TWRP or CWM, you can if you want. You can also root the device. But I would not recommend loading any of the other roms until you get a better understand of what that rom does and how to load it. There are many posts on XDA that tell you how to load an OEM (stock) Rom. Just do a search for them. No need to be redundant here.
Just be careful.

Well, This is pretty weird. There's no Philippines (Which is my country) OEM rom and on the Tablet, it wont go to Recovery mode or Download mode. because when I charge my tablet it automatically opens then go to TWRP. When i turned it off it goes to normal charging. Then when I try to open it using this (Power button+volume up+ Home) it still goes to TWRP mode. How to fix this?
So I have had this device since February and finally decided I wanted to Unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and get some cool new roms on it. I have the GPE by the way.
Anyways so I unlocked the bootloader and flashed TWRP and then rooted the device by flashing a zip file for root. I assumed the tablet got rooted so I then decided to try the multi window hack and flashed that. Well it caused some apps to corrupt (the phone app in particular) and they would keep crashing preventing me from doing anything. I decided to go back into recovery and try to do a data and cache wipe but that did not help. Eventually I wiped the entire OS which was a mistake. I was still able to get into recovery mode but I have no SD card to load up with a rom to flash and it was late to go buy one. I also tried ADB through the recovery mode that did not seem to work.
I did some searching and found out that I could download the LGMlauncher and it could get me back to stock but to use that I needed my serial number which is on the box (which I had at the office). So I plugged it in (and got the little battery icon) and a few hours ago went to the office to get the box. I tried the LGMlauncher and it keeps on crashing while trying to update and now I am not able to get into recovery mode. What are some other steps I can take to try and recover it?
Thanks.
Edit: I tried the LGMlauncher again and it said my battery was low so I plugged it back in. is there a trick to charging it while it is off? I assume that could be why recovery mode wont work.

Yeah It appears as though the battery was not charging even though I had plugged it in and now it is dead. I cannot seem to get it to go into recovery or anything. Is it safe to say it is bricked?
When my HP Touchpads battery was to low to take a charge from the wall charger, the only way it could get enough charge to be able to use the wall charger was to trickle charge it from my computer usb port for a couple of days.

Well hello everyone i got a nearly new note 7 n930f with its box and all for about 130$ but the owner had let it update and now it only works while plugged to a charger, i tried getting into download mode while on charger but nothing happened just a black screen and sometimes it just boots up guess because the battery is at 0%.. i own a repair shop and i have a z3x box if nessecary.. i thought of opening it and charge the battery separatly or use s7 one but i really don't want to lose water resistance. But since i can get to use the phone i thought maybe i can root it using kingroot or sth and get system file and modify something so i can charge it a bit to get into download mode to flash twrp and costume rom but i'm not that good with sys files or mobile odin to downgrade to 30% battery firmware or sth.. i'm really stuck and i contacted samsung and they didn't want to take it back since it's purchased from another country (in europe)
Please anyone who has any solution help me.. i really love this phone and it was my dream phone when it launched
I did it guys, although no one has replied xD!.. after a lot of research, the way was to power on phone while on charger, check oem unluck then power off, plug usb into pc and do the download mode sequence 5 times with 3sec-1sec interval then flashed twrp and flash hydra kernel, it let it charge to 60%, after that anything can be done.. i'm on note fe oreo port btw!

How did you manage to check OEM. I can only get to download mode while charging and not through USB. My phone is not getting recongnized using USB. Pretty much stuck. Can you/someone help?

I could turn on the phone only with original charger and waiting for about a minute then by going to recovery mode then select "reboot phone".. it boots up then go to developer mode and check oem unlock and flash twrp and no verity opt then hydra rom or something
I'm having similar problems, but mine won't go let me into the recovery menu. Does anyone have any useful tips for me? Can anyone elaborate on the concept of the 3-1 second thing? thanks in advance for all the help!
